and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,

Hello Ascension Presents. I would just like to tell Fr. Mike something. I thought his homily today was what I really needed. I have been trying to show one of my non-Catholic friends that while we may not see them, there are differences between us. He seems to be indifferent of the differences, and so I started to feel like I was the only one who felt like this. But I thank the Lord for speaking to me through Fr. Mike so that I can know that I am not alone in this. Love you Fr. Mike! Thank you, Ascension Presents for all that you provide for us!

I cannot tell you how quickly these 51 minutes have flown by listening to Father Mike from South Africa at 8pm. It' s been a very long time since I've been able to give my undivided attention with no distractions to Mass. Since our lockdown in March we have not attended a live Mass but I've watched the online Services mostly from other Countries.
However last week the Mass by Father Mike happened to pop into my inbox and I participated in it with great interest. The same happened again today and everything that was mentioned including the clip after Mass about diversity is so relevant to our situation in South Africa.
What a devout Priest with a unique gift of connecting with his congregants so effectively. It's going to be very difficult to attend a live Mass when this is available after experiencing the fullness of the online version with Father Mike.

I find going to live mass with my community and listening to our priest AND coming home and listening to Father Mike...putting both together and living that life! Both are beautiful !

Sending prayers of thanksgiving for this mass; I was unable to attend in person today due to feeling ill, and what a blessing that ended up turning into -- without being at home I would not have received the exact reminders that I needed for this time in my life. Thank you to Fr. Schmitz and his team for continuing to put these recordings up. On a side note, as a former Minnesotan (born and raised, now living in Santa Barbara), I really appreciate hearing the accents from home again, as well as the references to typical Midwestern behavioral norms.

Your Sundays Masses are all I need for my weekly blessing, not for entertainment like you mentioned. It is a need for me to be connected to Jesus Christ, our Lord. Not to mention, you've made me laughed with the wedding joke, so hilarious.

"Learned Helplessness" is a condition in which a person suffers from a sense of powerlessness, arising from a traumatic event or persistent failure to succeed. I've been there unfortunately, as a way of coping with the stress.

Spirit led homily. Made me think of my spiritual indifference at times, Also, the indifference of
family members who do not show love or attention to the elders that
embraced them with love. Family is the domestic church . I pray COVID unites families
closer together: For others, to seek healing and forgiveness to do so.

I was once a regular pioneer with Jehovah's Witnesses, and I left that toxic organization (Watchtower, the so-called Jehovah's Witnesses). But I have not stopped believing in the bible.
Then Jesus went on to say to the Jews who had believed him: if you remain in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John chapter 8: verse 31-32 .
Lord Jesus is the way, the truth and the Life, no one on earth has power over him. So don't worship anyone except Lord Jesus.

Hi Fleur Siobhan, I’m so sorry that you feel so alone. Please remember you are never alone because God is always with you! I do understand the feeling of being lonely & alone. Many times in my life I have felt alone & lonely even with other people around me! I try to remember when I feel this way that God is always with me & all I have to do is cry out to God! Then he will come to me & be there so I feel his comfort & peace!! I will pray for you for his peace & comfort to come to you!

I have to read that Victor Frankel book. I heard about it from a friend thats grown alot through pain. GOD whispers during pleasures, speaks during our routine and screams to us in pain is sooooo true. Fr. Mike my money is on you. You got some traps, I can only see you trying to avoid a confrontation.
