I'm survivor of testicular cancer had in March easter week 2009 ! when i was 37, it was very aggressive i had pain and burning inside my low left groin and on my testicle like it was hit from something, it was inside in the centre (core) of it ! In one week before the surgery my left testicle starting getting bigger and bigger and i can't touch it because i was in pain. I had CT scan and blood test for it first to make sure it was cancer. It was 50% teratoma and 50% embryonal carcinoma, after orchiectomy i'm in total health again, I was lucky when i discover it and i had the signs, it didn't spread ! I'm 46 now and in perfect health like before but missed my left testicle i had for many years but that's unfair and cruel it is life with some people ! I see many young people dying everyday and i lost friends and family members from death (other causes) and i'm afraid to die ! I love life and technology always getting better !

Sp Nat Your story gives me a bit of peace of mind and lots of hope! I am also now a survivor of the disease as of May 2019. I had the very same exact symptoms as you described, but also tiredness, massive joint pain and lower leg muscle paralysis every morning (had never had either before and went away after surgery). Mine was 65% teratoma, 34% embryonal carcinoma, 1% yolk sac. Here’s to hoping for a long and happy cancer free life!

My symptoms sound similar to yours. Did you have any other symptoms before the procedure; what was your pain like. Was your pain more like dull aches, or did you have more pain then that. Also after the procedure what was the pain level. I'm having an I/O surgery tomorrow afternoon, we are electing to remove the left testical and i am wondering what to expect.

My son 36 yrs 1 week old died of Metastatic Testicular Carcinoma in 2006 - the bone marrow transplant (Beth Israel hospital in Boston) nor any of the radiation & chemo could save him.

I'm so sorry. I also got diagnosed with testicular cancer at 36. Lucky me, I had the less aggressive testicular cancer, seminoma. And it being state 1 was highly important too. I will be under surveillance for 5 years.

Very informative. Unfortunately, at 34 years old my boyfriend passed away after a two year battle. It spread to his lungs a year after diagnosis/first chemo. He underwent an orchiectomy, BEP, RPLUND, High Dose Stem cell rescue and then more chemo. His lungs were littered with tumors and scar tissue. I hope overtime the success rate only continues to climb so most all can be cured.

95% of testicular cancer patients survive. What tumor did he have? There's seminoma and non seminoma.

I'm 16. 6 months ago I received a blow to the right testicle. Yesterday, on palpating the testicle, I felt a swelling as small as a grain of rice that is caught directly from the testicle. this swelling is strong and sometimes I can't find it. I only find it when I squeeze the testicle. is it a tumor? How small can a tumor be? please answer. I cry all the time and I don't know what it is. Can the tumor be so small?

I'm 16. I'm very scared. Can a testicular tumor be as big as a grain of rice? A testicular tumor disappears when you lie on your back? I received a blow to the right testicle half a year ago, and now I noticed that I had a bomb as big as a grain of rice on my testicle. Last night I had swelling, today sitting in bed I said to feel my testicle and that the swelling when I lie on my back I do not feel it. If it was a tumor, shouldn't it always be felt? And let's not forget that I also have a vein on that testicle that swells when I stand up and this little swelling is next to that vein and it swells with that vein. Please help me urgently
