Today I’m going to teach you 3 ways to do intermittent fasting for SERIOUS weight loss. Many people think fasting kicks the body to go into “starvation mode” but research has shown that’s not the case.
It’s time to expose this myth and teach you:
    - What fasting can do for your body, mind and health overall
    - How to approach intermittent fasting if you’re a beginner
    - Some of the different intermittent fasting schedules to choose from
Fasting can be an immense stress on the body, so make sure that you’re first in a stable physical and mental state. Women who have a monthly cycle should limit fasting the week before their period, and those who are often sleep deprived, should consider waiting until they’re more consistently well-rested to fast.
If you have serious health conditions, are undergoing medical treatments or take pharmaceutical medications, you should first consult with your physician before attempting any form of fasting or intermittent fasting.

I did some fasting in the past and I was always gaining weight, I have no idea why, but yesterday I ended a 48 h fast (extremely easy, not once was I hungry) and before eating I had lost one pound, but after eating and sleeping, this morning I realised I had lost 3 pounds. so far in the last 2 weeks of Carnivore (loose version on the first week), I lost 13 pounds, and I feel on fire, and sleep better, I love it.

Either you are doing it too quick and not giving your body enough time to adjust, if you go cold Turkey you will get hungrier then you sometimes end up eating more. Also for me I also had to reduce sugar and carbs massively so a low carb diet works best with fasting. You cannot simply fast all day and go and eat a meal full of carbs as this will spike your glucose so much and that will reduce any benefits of fasting.
The last thing is you have to be consistent, if you fast say 2 days a week and eating normally the rest of the week it WON'T work. There is NO cheat days (contrary to popular belief), especially in the beginning as your body adjusts. It actually will make things worse as you are putting your body under a lot of stress by switching.
Basically you need fast 7 days a week but take it slow, skip breakfast first for 3 weeks, then push your lunch later, then later then later, and slowly you should end up eating 1-2 meals per day (I do just one meal per day now). This is over the time frame of a few months. Consistency is the key, I have been doing it for over 3 years now and I can go without eating for 24 hours, go to the gym and play sports and in fact I have more energy now than before.

Interesting video and clearly explained. I’ve been doing 16/8 (eating window 1-9pm) for 10 months now and have lost over 20 pounds. I’d be happy to extend it to 18/6 or OMAD to try for even better results. However, whilst I’ve no doubt that missing dinner would be more effective and that the science backs this up, this is something that would just make me miserable as dinner with a glass of wine is an enjoyable event that I look forward to cooking and eating all day. There has to be some joy in life and I’d rather have a wonderful evening meal than a six pack😊

I don't see how you skip dinner. I can skip breakfast without too much trouble, but once I eat that first meal of the day, I get hungry the rest of the day. I have done 36 hour fasts, but always from after dinner to breakfast or lunch after skipping a day.

For the 24 hour fast, can you cover what/how much to eat in that one meal? I often see that question asked and it’s usually eat to satiety, but many still question if they are able to get enough protein in that one meal.

I'm not a BIG breakfast eater...I can do the Keto coffee which sustains me until lunch.
I don't think I can skip dinner. I'd rather do lunch or lite lunch and dinner, than no dinner at all. Whether that's psychological or not...that wouldn't work in my favor especially with my work schedule. Any other options or recommendations?
