Our Special Place:
A man atop the roof
after climbing high
looking back down at the vines
that scaled as years passed by
a woman lights a fire
from the bottom of the greens
the man begins to panic
and jumps while he screams
"this place is nowhere after all"
"this place is nowhere after all"
as i seep into the blackest void of all
i'm nothing, i am no one
as i sleep i hear them creeping down the hall
they're nothing, they're all gone
but it's okay to be afraid
when you're staring face to face
with time that's gone to waste
a man walks the clouds
after soaring high
looking back down at the mountains
reaching for the sky
a woman cries her eyes out
just to fill the clouds with grey
as the man falls down to earth
people swear they hear him say
"this place is nowhere after all"
"this place is nowhere after all"
as i seep into the blackest void of all
i'm nothing, i am no one
as i sleep i hear them creeping down the hall
they're nothing, they're all gone
but it's okay to be afraid
when you're staring face to face
with time that's gone to waste
and it's okay to hide away
to overcome the fears
that ruin all the days
as i seep into the blackest void of all
i'm nothing, i am no one
as i sleep i hear them creeping down the hall
they're nothing, they're all gone
as i seep into the blackest void of all
i'm nothing, i am no one
as i sleep i hear them creeping down the hall
they're nothing, they're all gone

Best song that I ever listened to. It describes so many things... Death, suicide, breaking up with someone, just about relationships... It's about the meaning of life at the end, about futile attempts to find happiness. It helps me a lot... It's... Just beautiful. So beautiful that no words can describe it. This is my favorite song so far.

This really is sad
This is actually a really beautiful song. Even though it's about depression after a breakup
The lyrics kinda remind me of death but I can see break up too. Has the writer ever said what it was about?
I assumed it was about the existential horror of realizing how big and empty space is and how isolated Earth is.
Thought harder about it and started crying. Maybe I'm reading too deep into it, but this hits close to home.
I thought it was about suicide, but break-up makes more sense.
a breakup kinda makes this song lose its meaning to me. i think it’s a bit lame compared to what i was expecting it to be about tbh.

"sorry, i'm hearing this song that is really good made by furries, but i want to know, im not a furry. yEs, i m n o t a - NO WAIT, IM NOT A FURRY AAAAAAAAAAHHHH"
I love this song. For me it speaks to everyone. No matter how high in life you get or how low you are, it's good to accept your faults and acknowledge them and even if it takes you time to get over those faults and you want to hide from them, that is ok because everyone is afraid of confronting themselves but you cannot move on and be happy until you do.
I thought it spoke about death "As I sleep into a blackest void of all I'm nothing. I am no-one..." and you think of all the time in your life that went to waste but I guess it could be speaking about depression as well.
@@commenter621 I think one of the lines in particular makes this seem like an inaccurate intepretation: it's okay to hide away to overcome the fears that ruin all the days. If you are dying, there's nothing coming. There's no more days to ruin, and no more overcoming to reach. This speaks instead of progress, it seems.
@@nexinex6049 Yeah, but it might mean that he's not dying at that moment, just reflecting on the fact that everyone will die someday. Maybe the song tells you that it's okay to cope with the fear of death

This song describes the guilt of wasting time perfectly. For 6 years I wasted over 7 hours every single day with gaming. I quit football, cross country, and stopped socializing. Now that I’m turning 21, I have fucking nothing. Nothing to look forward to, nothing to go off of. I wasted my prime doing useless shit and now I fret about every single second that passes, about how much closer I am to death without having accomplished anything. It’s real, man, and I dread free time now. Even sitting here is making me feel the worst existential dread.
You've just turned 21 dude, you have so much time ahead of you to change anything. Be happy you're realising this now at 21 and not 31. Start exercising and feel accomplished every day you work out, things can only get better from here. :)
Making it to the next day is an accomplishment. Don't let capitalism tell you that your only worth your productivity or what you can do for the big man. You enjoyed every moment playing those games, it's not time wasted. Your life is yours to live how you want.

This song actually sounds like the end of something... thanks Zylenox for sharing this amazing song
inspired on Silent Hill
This song I heard first when I really started inquiring within myself. Such a different time, it makes me remember and experience how quickly you change as a being so completely.
And most of all, how it all shoots back to being nowhere after all
I came up with what I believe to be the meaning while I was (and still kind of am) going through some painful bs.
A man had built up his life in happiness, and stared back on his accomplishments. But then, he met a woman who he loved deeply, who distracted him from all the good he had in his life. He became focused on her, but he felt that she was with another man. "This place (Our Special Place) is nowhere after all." He loses touch with all of the things that once made him happy, proud, etc, and ends up ending his own life.
The blackest void could be depression, but could also be referencing to suicide. "As I sleep I hear them creeping down the hall" could be referencing to the woman and the man he thinks she's with, likely in a dream.
I'm just going to jump to the more developed version of "but it's okay to be afraid". He's saying that it's okay to be upset with the chances he missed. He also says that it's okay to avoid them, and that it's also alright if he stood up and tried to approach this person.
xSilvWolf accurate
Deep...
Cringe.
@@Marr0wgar lmaooo wtf bro
I used to have vivid night terrors when I was younger and this basically describes the experience you wake up you don't know why you exist or why your alive (this place is nowhere after all) and then you panic since you don't know why you exist and then you think something is coming it's gone you hear it but never see it and the rest is random dreams after it happens but then you wake up again falling down back to earth for it to happen again
this song is so good
I still love the music Renard put out under the Queenstons the most. I like the rest, but in my opinion nothing beats this.

Hello
10/10 song
It's pretty creepy how this story is talking about something really sad but the music sounds really up beat and happy.
Theory:
A man atop the roof - From the bottom of the greens, the man begins to panic, and jumps while he screams
This represents his life being at it's peak by finding a lover, but it just ends up coming crashing down.
This place is nowhere after all - This place is no where after all
This part is him getting overwhelmed with emotions as the thoughts corrupt his mind as the bad thoughts worsen.
As I seep into the blackest void of all - I'm nothing, I'm no one
This is the same as the last one, only difference being the thoughts are creeping into his self confidence as he is probally thinking he will never find another lover.
Their nothing - Their all gone
The thoughts are now reaching their worst point. The thoughts are corrupting his view on everyone else and causing him despair.
But it's okay to be afraid - when you're staring face to face with time that's gone to waste
Being scared of being turned down again and not wanting to take another shot. Seing as he was probally turned down, it was all a waste.
A man walks on the clouds - Reaching for the sky
He basically suffered a mental suicide, As he tries to picture being in a relationship again. While in an attempt to keep his hopes as high as possible.
And its okay to hide away, to over come the fears - And its okay to hide away, to over come the fears
Hiding himself from society because mentally to himself, he is nothing, and will never get another chance to find another lover. While passing it off as "Taking a break" while deep down he knows the truth.

(DO NOT MIND MY TERRIBLY LATE COMMENT BUT ID THOUGHT ID BRING THIS UP 1000 YEARS LATER) People have many different depictions of songs. And their meaning. I always pin point songs and think deeply on what they really mean. This one though really echoes to me. To me, at least, this song talks about suicide (again you can have different views. This is mine) why? Think "A man atop the roof after climbing high" sort of says something. That woman in the song could be the "mans" distressed, sorrowful wife. Trying to cope with the difficulties her "husband" may be enduring. "The man begins to panic" shows he may suffer from some sort of mental disorder that's led him to "climb atop the roof". "And jumps while he screams" basically shows he is jumping to possibly end his life. And when it refers to "screams" the words he "screams" have a deep meaning. His mind keeps thinking the world is nothing after all. Like it meant nothing to him in the end. Then "as I sleep into the blackest void of all, I'm nothing I'm no one" refers to him constantly going to bed thinking he has done nothing useful his whole life and results in him being nothing. Then "I hear them creeping down the hall", refers to the shoulder hanging demons that haunt his mind telling him that he is nothing. Second verse starts stating he's "walks on the clouds, looking back down at the mountains reaching for the sky" his spirit that's left his body after dying is watching the place he once thought of as "nothing". "A woman cries her eyes out" refers to the mans wife crying over his death. "As the man falls down to earth, people swear they hear him say" are the by standers watching as the man leaped to his death from that building roof top. So. In the end. This song is probably about suicide. A man dealing with hardships. Then again. This is only my view. You may see it differently. Thanks for reading! Lol. I apologize this is so so late. But I just had to say what I kept thinking ;P
IM NOT GOING TO READ ALL THAT SO I WILL SAY ok
english literature analysis essays are shorter then that
jesus thats kinda deep but makes so much sense, i thought it legit was a fantasy story about a guy traveling to the clouds and falling down because of some lady who was upset. i guess that explains the void thing
i think its about a break up
For me this song is about lucid dreaming lol, but yours makes sense too

i have a feeling this song is based off depression, he "Climbs" which is him dealing with life, and as hes about to jump (its said in the song) he says "looking back down" aka looking back on life, then he says "The man begins to panic, and jumps while he screams" or him jumping to commit suicide, then says "This place is no-where after all" while he is falling. then it the song says "As i seep into the blackest point of all" (or death) "Im nothing, i am no-one" he follows by saying "as i sleep i hear them creeping down the halls" (i can only assume its his depression but that could be a stretch) "There nothing, there no-one" as in once hes dead they will be no-one and so will he. then goes by "and its ok to be afraid, when your staring face to face, with time thats gone to waste" or in other words all the time he has wasted in his life with depression. then goes by saying "a man walks on the clouds, after soaring high, looking back down, at the mountains, reaching for the skies" which would be him going to "Heaven" (or what ever god you believe in) because he committed suicide. "A women cries her eyes out, just to fill the clouds with gray" which would probably be his mother crying. "As a man falls down to an earth, people swear they hear him say: this place is no-where after all" its the view of people watching him jump. (after repeated verse, the rest i am talking about starts at 3:04 ) "And its ok to hide away, to overcome the fears, that ruin all the days" which would most likely be referring to his mother after his suicide.
Im pretty sure a lot of the lyrics may be included in a suicide note

I feel like there's some kind of deeper reason Lapfox turned off their comments but I don't know why
Probably because of the backlash of their bad reputation. According to the really old Lapfox fans Renard/Emma used to have their comments open and not disabled.
Looked into this; Emma wanted that channel to be solely music oriented. As such, she disabled comments there to make the focus be the video itself. Comments are enabled on her other channel, where she posts singles, dailies, and stream clips.
It's sad how some people hear this song _now_ and say "I'm not a furry tho, lol", the song has NOTHING to do with or about furries. Not all furries make songs about themselves 24/7. And listening to one song by a furry doesn't 100% make you one, just chillax to the song, smh
