Amazon does a terrible job at updating even the apps they do host. They let them go stale to the point of not even working. Sideloading is usually required if you want to run anything from this decade.
Also youtube's smart tv updates lately have sucked so much ass. I really want an older version
FireTV supports third party apps installation with its sideload feature. Thanks for the info Craig.
Anyone else get the feeling either he hasn't a clue about side loading besides what he figured out for the video or be is full of it and does sideload and doesn't care about the "morality" of it and this was all lip-service?
Yes
This was a garbage video. Loafs of waffle and didn't tell how to actually sideload.
There are certain shows that I watch. I don't like commercials. I got rid of $150 cable bill. I got tired of registering visa gift cards for free trials.
That reminded me of a few years ago making a list of random emails to get psvue 7 day free trials when it was a live tv option for PS4 they finally caught on and shut it down but maan I was milking it lmao ran out of email ideas after about 5 months
Definitely, just you or others like you. I love my Android apps like text editors like DroidEdit, terminal programs, and FTP programs. I just don't like FIreOS limiting the vast amount of software out there I can use. Perhaps that's just me. I am a tech nerd. I use Android for writing codes, maintaining my websites, and transferring files between different devices via FTP.
For a sec I thought you were gonna mention a damn vpn sponsor at 5:41
Downloaded Zachary's justice league and watched it on my full had TV after putting it on a pen drive. No privacy issues or anything.
Peacock still is not on the fire stick the only way I can watch it is by side loading
That's odd. I have it and I didn't side load either.
Well. if i pay like any US citizen for HBO MAX, i watch it even though i have to sideload the app.
Anyone else here for the 24 hr challenge.?
yep
24 hrs is too easy. Esp for that sort of cake.
There’s no risk if you use a VPN
What? no wonder I see reviews from a year ago, nothing here to see just move along, he is probably being paid anyway to say all this anyway, I really don't think he cares what anyone does with their sideloading as he calls it, besides the word " sideload" sounds so ominous, you know grown-up words.
But if I want to get let’s say Russian channels for free what can I do?
Probably use IPTV service and find one who has Russian tv. They are paid services but it’s very cheap and you’ll get lots of other good channels too.
WTH 😂😂😂
Here is another reason not to sideload apps: since you can mirror a mobile screen to a tv or a streaming device, just install it on your phone/tablet and do screen mirroring
Screen Mirroring often lags
Ya have to have nice new equipment, but ya, doable.
Worst...info...ever. Been sideloading for 3 years. You couldn't be anymore wrong. Sorry.
He's not wrong though, you can download malware without knowing from the Internet.
