This was exactly what my issue was. I had too many background apps running. Was frustrated as heck, & now calm as can be. Thank you for great tutorial!!
Thank You for this great information! When I checked my apps running in background I had 16!! Now I check this at the end of each day.. and my Firestick is much faster and it runs perfect!! Thanks again!!😊
You are amazing!! RUclips has been constantly buffering lately. I only had about 10 apps open but noticed a huge difference when I closed them all and reopened RUclips. Thank you!!!
great video. Another thing I do at least once a week is clear cache and reboot my modem/router and firestick by unplugging it from the power. This works wonders as well as doing the steps you mentioned.
Had my sticks for a few years now and never knew this trick. Thanks again as usual. Keep up the good work. Your service is the only one deserving of me becoming a Patreon member.
Thank you for this necessary information. I had 20 apps open and also had the feature content on. Thank you again because the apps creators do not provide this information.
Ty for helping I'm going to start my own video's and are going to tell people to look for your videos to you are one of the best knowledgeable people on her from 1 to 20 so that is a huge compliment💯👍 your right about the small processor that's why there is a way to add a USB drive port for SD and USB memory cards and hard drives but there's a certain way of linking everything together I'm going to be doing videos that's going to be in one of my videos when I get the right equipment but I will start out by making a couple of videos to help people cut the cord like you my friend thank you your awesome person...💯👍
Thank you so much for all the information . I am still learning how to navigate my fire stick. And I have learned so many useful tips from you . Thank you and God Bless you.
Hi CC, i had 4 apps open im always on top of clearing my caches' and closing apps, restarting my firestick and topping it off at the end with putting my firestick to sleep. Learned all that from the best The handsome Mr. CC😀
Thank you for this program I love it dearly this is the best thing I ever got keep on doing the good work you do looking forward for new things you have coming
Good overlap between the stick and the Toshiba TV I have been having problems with. I only had 11 apps open, but I will come back if that wasn't the issue! 😁
I had 18 tabs running in the background, you were very helpful because I use Cinema & the buffering drives me crazy 🤪 not to mention they uploaded movies and television shows to titles that don't belong on it, like I was looking for the Spider-Man movie & they had every movie on there except Spider-Man just stupid.... BUT THANK YOU & KEEP IT UP, YOU WERE REALLY HELPFUL AND INFORMATIVE 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 P.S.. I have another question, my Fire Stick kicks me out in the middle of movies and television shows... Will this process I just did stop it from doing that???
1st time seeing your video...great content and followed along to close 24 open aps!! Now to find the speed test video! Thanks for putting this out there!!
You've definitely made me smart(er). LOL I use Background apps and processes religiously. All of these tips can really help folks out. Also before I force stop on the apps I don't want running, I also clear the cache.
Great job! (As usual 👍🏾) you keep the info pumpin' and it's always useful. I advice all the people I know if they want the latest and most important tips to check your page out.
Great video! Do you have a tutorial on how to navigate your firestick? There's so much stuff it would help to know where to look for what quickly. Thanks!
I normally force stop, clear cache, and put my firestick to sleep every time I'm done with it, and it's been working great, so do you still recommend the background app? Awesome videos as always, thank you Mr. Curiosity!!! 😊
Damn good content and tips!! My constructive feedback is to limit repeating things so much and perhaps shorten this particular video by a minute or so.
Just a couple of things ???, I find it interesting that you use a wifi extender, and not a mesh system for more coverage, even if it was only a couple of mesh points like amplifi sells ??? And, oddly, when I’m streaming, I find using I get a lot less buffering using an upstream, rather than many downloads, which seem to buffer, even if I’m in the next room to the router ??, and sipped, my speed always shows up in the high 100’s, to the 200 range, with VPN, on, and almost 400 without VPN, and yes, shutting down background apps helps. Very good video, I’ll, be sure to tell my brother to watch, when I send him my extra first stick.
Lol, we use a rock space mesh system now. We can get access to our basement and separate garage with a booster as well by the same company which extends the range from 4000sq ft to over 20,000. Thanks for the comments. Hopefully this gives guy some guidance on our situation and no more confusion. We’ve done videos on both.
Thank you for all of the information that you share. I have used several of your tips! I now have 64g of storage and can stream with a hard line instead of wifi if I need to! Thank you so much!
Thank you very much.I usually have 2 or 3 apps running before turning off at night I close my Nord VPN and the clutch Iptv which I use. I also clear the cache of all programs. While I have purchased a wi fi extender,I have not been successful in installing it. My download speeds are around 100 and I still encounter buffering and freezing.. I appreciate all of your help.
New at all this, so thank you so much. Questions: you mentioned - Source - we like cinema hd as very new movies on there, but yes we’re getting lots of buffering. Did you mean that say you select a movie and it does a lot of buffering you can try the same movie at 480 instead of 720? Do you have another app comparable to this? Why is it that in cinema hd…I,e. avatar new one comes up as plane…or does this just happen? I will be watching more of your videos as I have been learning so much from you. I have already closed all my background apps, have made some changes under settings so hopefully things will improve. thanks
Start with cinemahd. It's a free app that is P2P which means it's not managed, or regulated. There are many better options. Reach out on Patreon as we have them all listed.
yes thank you, i just wish there was something we could do about the source. i followed everything you just talked about from watching your video s , so i thank you. that darn source is the problem what can be done
That has everything to do with what apps you are using on each unit. I have both also and it picks the signal up the same. In fact there are way more limitations on the roku, so I rarely use it. Especially since the roku channel is on the firestick also.
You're the best! After following and learning from you for 20 months, I feel like an expert now.
Thank you, Mr. CC!

Just cleaned mine up too. Had a bunch of apps there that I had no idea were there slowing me down. Big shout out to you!
So glad you are here for us beginners. When I have issues with my firestick no one else exists but you.
Had my sticks for a few years now and never knew this trick. Thanks again as usual. Keep up the good work. Your service is the only one deserving of me becoming a Patreon member.
Thanks for your support
Had 41 apps running in the background. Had 349 mbps download and was buffering until the apps were forced closes. THANK YOU -system no longer buffers.
Thank you for this necessary information. I had 20 apps open and also had the feature content on. Thank you again because the apps creators do not provide this information.

Finally fixed mine by switching internet companies and getting a new amazon fire stick. Mine was 3 yrs old. I did like the tips, though.

I'm going to try this option because my firestick does buffer a lot sometimes and it's not even that far away from my internet router.
Absolutely terrific. Thank you!
Thanks for the information always great👍
I like your content!
Thanks for the great info!!!
I have a wifi pod range extender with female connections for a plugin. Will this give me a stronger signal if I hard wire the firestick into that?
Potentially. It kind of depends on the brand and how good the wifi extender is. Rock Space, yes for sure.
Learning a lot about it now.👍
Great video as usual. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for all your help.
Great information. You broke it down. Simple and plain. Excellent

I have an Amazon fire stick and another by Roku. Massive problems with buffering on the Amazon, but no problems at all with the Roku.
