Yep we need more/better options for building batteries! Better nickel, strip or grid, I think cell fuzing is mostly a false sense of security, or scared'ity! Because even with it fully fuzed, you can still have quiet the scare, the pack can go to meltdown! The main thing is to have a good BMS, that will stop a cell overcharging, and over tempature pack, heat and cell voltage is the main cause of meltdown,. About the only other cause is cell damage! Nice work! I'm looking for a smaller simple spit welder, I built a larger combersome welder, it works well, it's just difficult! I'm in the process of rebuilding! I have about 2000 cells to put together! Good day!!!

Yes it will be certainly get heated up due to Internal current circulation., Even if there is No external Load. Batteries should Never be connected in Parallel without Diode to stop internal Circulation .

Dont be stupid, these are new cells. new cells, no matter what brand get a charge, AH tested and then storage voltage, before binned. its very unlikely they will go bad. after dealing with over 4,500 new cells Ive never had a bad one, ALL tested same exact capacity and internal resistance. everybody has to stop treating like there old recycled laptop packs with varying internal shorts, resistance, capacity, etc... the manufacturer already does this for you.
