If you made it through the video then you absolutely know this is a SARCASTIC view on click bait and the fear mongering happening in Honduras (especially San Pedro Sula)! Honduras does have REAL challenges! However, they should not overshadow all the beautiful things about the country and it's people. For irony, I used a picture taken in California as my thumbnail.
My family and I decided to move to San Pedro Sula while living in the United States and RUclips was swarming with videos about how dangerous the country is. At the time the only RUclipsr shedding light on both the challenges and beauty of the country was ‪@shinfujiyamaReal‬ who I mention in this video. However, outside of Shin Fujiyama RUclips was filled with videos of visitors walking through "the murder capital" of the world. Again, Honduras does have challenges with poverty, crime, and danger just like any other country in the world. Yet, the homicide rate in San Pedro Sula 2023 has dropped significantly in the past decade with cities like Memphis, New Orleans, Baltimore, Cleveland, and even Milwaukee surpassing San Pedro Sula.

San Pedro Sula, Honduras is a modern city with restaurants, shops, malls, and many amenities. However, we are also close to mountains, rivers, and beaches if we choose to explore.

We are a expats and a typical black American family living and teaching abroad in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. We were born and raised in California but spent most of our adult life in Atlanta, GA where we met at Spelman and Morehouse College.
About a year ago we left our jobs teaching in the United States for a life abroad in Honduras. Our channel has 2 goals:
