Happy Day Gayle, you have enough beautiful fabric to start a store, my goodness, so many how do you pick which one to use, love them all, thank you for sharing, big hugs.
Hi Gayle the two you received in mail were absolutely amazing & blue & yellow with the yellow lace inside was so gorgeous ;;; the green & yellow fabric perhaps you could piece together ; and other pink florals could be pieced with something neutral like pinks or pale colour ; sure have loads of fabric my friend and they are all very beautiful - don’t forget to take envelopes or Amazon packaging to go between the covers … busy lady aren’t you ! Don’t forget to sleep/ eat/ enjoy yourself on retreat 🌹🦋
Good morning my dear friend, it’s a very grey, dreary rainy and very windy day here. They say that it could rain tomorrow as well. I will take rain over snow any day. I enjoyed watching the go through your fabric bundles and deciding what fabric goes with another fabric. You brought some laughter and brightness to my otherwise dreary day. But they say, April showers bring May flowers.💐 I hope that you and Mike have a great rest of the day and weekend coming up. Take care and I will see you in the next video. Your friend Cindy, from a small town in Northern Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🌧️🌧️🌧️
When you said you had a dresser in your guest room full of fabrics, I was ready to book a ticket to Montana! I love my hoard of fabrics too! It seems the more I get, the more I don’t want to use! ❤😂❤😊
Such fun fabrics…you will have covers for days! Those pieces with the circle type pieces looked to be about the right shape and size for a tall skinny journal.
Morning, Gayle! Great journal covers from Jody's shop. I'll have to check her out. What fun, but to go through fabrics! One of my favorite things to do. So many great ones, too! I really enjoyed seeing them all! Have a great Friday, my sweet friend! Hugs & love! Sue 😊❤
Good morning Gayle, I’m a quilter as well as a journal maker. Those materials are gorgeous, I’m just a tiny bit jealous. The swelling in my knee is beginning to subside, day 9. ❤❤❤❤❤. Thanks so much for your videos.
Oh my goodness I love so much of that fabric! I am struggling my way through a few kiddie journals so I am loving on that fabric a lot. But oh Gayle those tents would be so great with lots Oh Emmitt Kelly in it. So excited to see that fabric. You looked like you were just having so much fun going through them That was the best part. See you tomorrow, ~Patti
Hi Patti! I have to laugh answering the comments and having the video playing on silent…it looks like all I do is “pet” the fabric! 😂. The textures are just so wonderful! ❤
Gayle, I loved watching you go thru what I imagine is just some of your fabric stash. I can't wait to see how many completed journal covers you bring home from the retreat. You are going to socialise, eat, drink, and sleep, I hope. I have a fabric stash happening in my pjs drawer. Not much so far, but my favourite is the Alice in Wonderland fabric. I scooped up while on sale a while ago. This was before, but I knew anything about junk journalling. And there is enough fabric to make several journals, but I've decided the 1st one will be for me. I've had a bit of a rough start to the year. 😂 ❤
Hi Gayle. I'm drooling over the fabric stash. I don't know if you'll get this before you make covers but if you do consider the red number fabric with the circus tent fabric or the red and cream check fabric with the tents. The florals are beautiful and the Tim Holtz fabric is soooo cool. Oh, the bunny fabric with the green basket weave fabric is perfect. The corset fabrics and "sewing" fabrics ... just color me green. Fun video. Can't wait to see the covers when you get them done. TFS Hope you have a great day. 🌞
Hi Gayle! I told some of my friends that I was interested in material scraps... oh dear, I got bags full of little triangles and strips! And the themes are all for kids, because all they do is sew for their many grandchildren. So I like the idea of all the little scrappy bits sewn down for a journal cover, and I'll probably collage-sew some of the bigger pieces together. What I'm trying to say is that I'd really be interested in seeing how you do a journal for kids, because thats all I can do with these material scraps! Heeelp!!!😂
Wonderful fabrics to play with for covers. The red checkered fabric from the red pile would go with the circus tents. Can’t wait to see the finished covers! Have a Blessed day!
Hey Gayle. What beautiful fabrics! When you talked about your Dick and Jane journal I wondered if you could make a baby book from it? Just a thought. Loving the circus journals! Have a glorious day!
Good morning Gayle! I love all of your fabrics. They will make really fun journal covers. I went through a purse making phase. I gave all of mine as gifts. At the same time I also made fleece feet and leg warmers. They are really warm and comfy. Take care and I will see you tomorrow. I love you friend 😊🤗❤
Good morning Gayle! WOW! Beautiful fabrics, I'm quite envious. I have quite a bit of fabric but I don't like it all. I'd much prefer yours! The colors are beautiful but I'm a huge fan of the black and white fabrics. I have a black and white cover made and it's one of my 28 journals I need to make.♥♥♥♥♥♥
Thank you so much for your gift through YT Super Thanks! I appreciate your support so very much! I absolutely love what I do and spending time with my YT crafting buddies! Your appreciation and support are received with a grateful heart. Thank you so much! Love and hugs to you! 🤗❤️
You have some beautiful fabrics. Looks like you have plenty of projects to work on while there. Enjoy your retreat. Hopefully you’ll do a vid when you return and do some show and tell of what you did while there.
Dearest Gayle, I so love your videos. I recently shared your channel with a newbie who wanted advice on staying organized. She got back to me and was in awe of your craft room. I personally love and appreciate your confidence which is built on experience. Your hands are steady and sure and your instincts are right on. It’s pure pleasure watching you work. Regards, Claudette.
Beautiful fabrics. 🎉it is fun to see other's fabrics. You've got a BIG job ahead of you but you're sure going to enjoy making those covers. ❤ thanks for sharing it with us.❤
Good morning Gayle thank you so much for sharing. I have some of those packaging envelopes that I will try to do as you’re doing. I never thought about that. I am going to do a craft show the beginning of May. And I’m trying to make a different journals and ideas for journals and you gave me one today. Thank you again. Have a good day.
Good morning, Gayle! What a beautiful collection of fabrics! I enjoyed watching your process of matching them for covers. You are going to have some fabulous covers for journals! ❤
Good Morning Gayle! Yum! Gorgeous stash of journal cover fabric!!! Then was no end to your beautiful fabrics!!! What treat going through them! Have a beautiful day my friend, hugzzz💖
Good morning my friend! Your fabrics are just gorgeous. I especially love the little critters with the adorable hedgehog...I collect hedges and I love that little cutie!!
I just watched this video and love that you shared your fabrics for journal covers! The bark cloth is so nostalgic. All of the fabrics are wonderful! ❤
Good morning Gayle!! Happy FFF!! Wowzers! So many fabrics you got put together for covers! You’ll be ready to go for so many journals. Just awesome. So fun watching your thought process with these. Love it. TFS! Have a wonderful day! 💞💕Hugs!!
Love watching you go through your fabric stasìh. A few Christmases ago, my sister, who is a quilter, gave me a beautiful box full of pieces of fabric, everyone looked at it strangely and I thought it was wonderful. 😂 I spent ages just going through it, picking out pieces I had admired in her stash and new ones I hadn't seen. ❤❤xx
Such a lovely video today Gayle. I loved watching you go thru your fabric and put journal covers together. So much fun ❤ Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Hugs!
Good morning, Gayle. You have got a very nice fabric collection. It was fun to watch you pair things up. I’m sure you know that you can get replacement blades for your rotary cutter and then it’s good as new. That piece of fabric that you wanted to pair the leather with had a pretty deep hem. You may be able to take it out and have enough. I quilted for years and have tons of fabric. I have made lots of pieced fabric covers using left over squares. It’s lots of fun. Thank you for sharing your stash with us and letting us enjoy the beauty of it all. 💜
Good morning Gayle!! Hi & Hugs my friend...🥰 Gorgeous fabrics in your stash. Some of those quilt pieces would make beautiful TN's or tall skinny journal covers.😊 Thanks for sharing your stash with us!! Have an awesome Friday...💜
My goodness, so much fabric! What fun to see you match up fronts and backs. Love the reminder of how you do the fabrics covers from the envelopes. Thanks, Gayle! 😊
Hi, It was fun watching you match up fabric for covers! I am not good at using a rotary cutter. I usually get away from the edge of the measuring tool (can't remember what it's called) and end up making slicing things along the cut. Can't wait to see what the covers are that you make at the retreat.
Hi Gayle!! You have a wonderful collection of fabrics!! There were a few that I didn't care for but the majority I did!! I really liked the black, red and tan one with the roses and the leaves!! So very different!! I am looking forward to seeing the covers you end up making!! Great video!! TFS!! Hugs, Liz:)
Your fabrics are all so pretty. I picked up a whole bunch of upholstery/curtain samples today for free, most are more than large enough for covers with some room for fun extras like fabric flips. We will be whipping some up together across the great miles. ❤ Belinda xxx
Such beautiful fabric. I have been working on making covers too. I have 6 of them waiting by the sewing machine. Hopefully I can get them sewn next week after the kids leave for home. Can’t wait to see how pretty they all turn out. Love and hugs my friend🥰.
Beautiful fabrics to play with. You always make me want to organize my stuff better, but it never seems to happen…lol 🤪 Some of the not large enough pieces might just work well for document style covers…something to think about.
Good morning sweet Gayle. I hope you have a fabulous day. Tell Mike I said hello. And I so need a journal made from that fabric from the purse I purchased. How awesome would that be. Universe be on my side when that journal come! Lol 😅😂😂.
Good morning Gayle and friends. This was so fun to watch. Your eye for putting two fabrics together is amazing. I’m crossing my fingers that there will be a “scrappy Saturday” making fabric flips! Happy Friday all! I am grateful for Gayle, everyone’s kind comments and the love from crafting we all share. Blessings to each of you and your families and pets! (My little doggy had a ruff yesterday so pets are on my mind and heart.) also, Gayle your hi and hugs fills my heart with joy. Have a great weekend!
Beautiful colors and styles my friend. I think sewing the pieces together would be nice. Today's Quote: “How do we change the world? One random act of kindness at a time.” - Morgan Freeman. Positive. Another corcus journal, yeah!!! Vibes and Blessed Healing Prayers. Huge HUGS! Namesta 🐞🐞🐞
Hey Gayle! Just wondered if you’ve ever considered keeping a cricut easy press mini at the side to easily get the creases out of the fabric in a snap. I find it helps make my fabric more workable and takes up no valuable real estate on my space. Just a thought.
Wow, you’ve got some great fabric. I love bark cloth, I’ve never owned any, but I love it. Black and white and red go good together as do black-and-white and yellow. I see some smaller journals in your future. You’ve got a lot of fabric that you like that just wasn’t quite big enough. I see some 8 x 10 envelopes coming your way instead of 9 x 12. Or, you can always just use something else inside rather than the envelopes, I’ve used rejected watercolors that I did long ago and don’t like. I’m sure you have something around the house you could use on the inside for a smaller one like Amazon bags or you can always cut down bags or envelopes. Time to buy a replacement blade for your rotary cutter. I’m sure you can get them online and Hobby lobby probably even has them.
Yeah! Fabric! Covers! 🎉❤
Happy Day Gayle, you have enough beautiful fabric to start a store, my goodness, so many how do you pick which one to use, love them all, thank you for sharing, big hugs.
Morning Nicky! ❤

Such fun fabrics…you will have covers for days! Those pieces with the circle type pieces looked to be about the right shape and size for a tall skinny journal.

Thank you Mindy! ❤
Fun Fabrics Flip-thru on a Forgotten Friends Friday - Fantastic!! ❤ Oooh, back to the circus we go...YAY!! 🎪😃
I thought I had a huge fabric stash. Wow!! They do make replacement blades for those cutters. I think the device comes a part somehow.

Have a great Friday, my sweet friend! Hugs & love! Sue 😊❤
Morning Sue! ❤
Wow awesome fabrics, so many wonderful patterns and textures.
Fabric belly bands could be made from those long strips or sewn into cover pockets. They are so pretty to not use.
Good morning Gayle, I’m a quilter as well as a journal maker. Those materials are gorgeous, I’m just a tiny bit jealous. The swelling in my knee is beginning to subside, day 9. ❤❤❤❤❤. Thanks so much for your videos.
Morning Lucy! Keep on healing, my friend!! ❤
For the leather one, you could do a small strip of leather between two of the patterned material to make it big enough for the inside 😊
Thank you! Great idea! ❤
Hi Gayle. You have so many beautiful fabrics. I don’t think you could possibly use it all in one lifetime. 😊
Oh my goodness I love so much of that fabric! I am struggling my way through a few kiddie journals so I am loving on that fabric a lot. The daisy purple fabric matched your shirt!! Lol. Pretty pieces!

You could make a retro or vintage style recipe journal with the heavy duty fabric with writing on it (Baker’s dozen, quart, etc.)
Hi Janice! I think I figured out my blade was loose. I guess that was the problem. 🥴🤷🏻♀️❤

Hi Liz! ❤
Your fabrics are all so pretty. I picked up a whole bunch of upholstery/curtain samples today for free, most are more than large enough for covers with some room for fun extras like fabric flips. We will be whipping some up together across the great miles. ❤ Belinda xxx
Always fun to craft with you, my friend! ❤
👍😁
Such beautiful fabric. I have been working on making covers too. I have 6 of them waiting by the sewing machine. Hopefully I can get them sewn next week after the kids leave for home. Can’t wait to see how pretty they all turn out. Love and hugs my friend🥰.

Hi Gayle
The not quite right size ones would make a great Traveller Notebook cover ❤
Love all that fabric! Have a great weekend! 🥰❤
You too, Deb! ❤
Beautiful fabrics to play with. You always make me want to organize my stuff better, but it never seems to happen…lol 🤪
Some of the not large enough pieces might just work well for document style covers…something to think about.
Good morning sweet Gayle. I hope you have a fabulous day. Tell Mike I said hello. And I so need a journal made from that fabric from the purse I purchased. How awesome would that be. Universe be on my side when that journal come! Lol 😅😂😂.
Morning Lorie! When I saw that fabric, I thought, oh that’s the purse Lorie bought! 😂❤
Good morning Gayle and friends. This was so fun to watch. Your eye for putting two fabrics together is amazing. I’m crossing my fingers that there will be a “scrappy Saturday” making fabric flips! The fan block looks like travelers notebook size. You could make some tall skinny notebooks.
Great idea! ❤
Morning Gayle 🧸 Lovely fabric 🤤🥰 Love the bunny and green basket ; would be so nice with the spring bounty from Michelle I just bought
Morning Liek! ❤
Lovely fabric stash..... Have you changed your rotary blade, might be all it needs, that looks like fiskars, good make 😊
Hey Gayle! Just wondered if you’ve ever considered keeping a cricut easy press mini at the side to easily get the creases out of the fabric in a snap. I find it helps make my fabric more workable and takes up no valuable real estate on my space. Just a thought.
Hi Gayle ❤
Hi Lulu! ❤
I would love the Dick and Jane books!!❤❤
