- Emma Rothschild is Jeremy and Jane Knowles Professor of History at Harvard University and Director of the Joint Centre for History and Economics at Harvard and at Magdalene College, Cambridge.
Professor Rothschild's lecture focuses on the mid-twentieth century history of internationalism.
She explores the early discussions of the United Nations and other international organisations, the history of public involvement in long-distance exchanges, and twentieth-century theories of individual sovereignty.
This lecture was recorded on 21 May 2014 at the Edinburgh University Business School.
