It was so lovely to see you too, Skye! I should definitely be able to show you what I picked up next episode, it's a lovely tweedy blue from Natural Yarn Co 😄
Your projects and your hair looks great! I enjoyed the naming discussion. I would tuck the Swirl Topper turtleneck on the inside to not lose that beautiful modified ribbing.
Oh my goodness, thank you so much for featuring me on the podcast a few months ago! I definitely saw you asking me how to download the pattern - I'm sorry I never reached out, it's been a bit of a hectic time over here 😅. I kept telling myself I'd get in touch with you when I finally got the shawl out but you seem to have beaten me to it with this comment 😄
No need to apologise at all! I’d be happy for you to get in touch any time, not just when the pattern is released! 😊 I’ll be keeping my eyes open for it! Congratulations on your pregnancy. I hope it all goes smoothly!❤
I had to giggle at the naming discussion. My parents are Dutch, middle names are the mother's maiden name too, which can be up to 2 generational hyphenated surnames, however, naming a baby comes in sequence of their birth order. First boy is named after his father then given the paternal grandfather's name as the second name. 2nd boy, it's reversed, 3rd boy gets his maternal grandfather's name with his father's name, 4th boy, it's also reversed, same with the girls, it's common in large families to have siblings with the same name. If the father or mother remarry and have kids in that marriage, the naming starts from scratch. My mother has 3 brothers called Jan (pronounced Yun), she has a lot of uncles with the same name, lol. Dutch often use nicknames. When my mum married my dad who had Swedish & French parents, my siblings & I were given individual names, so we were promptly disowned for breaking tradition, we immigrated to Australia anyway. I think of the name I should've been given and how that would fit in any documents, Maria-Frederika Teodora Philips-Brandon Henriétt, then adding my married surname.... yikes
Thanks Robyn! Oh my gosh, I ALWAYS forget to talk about what I'm wearing 😅. It's called Ayami, by Isabell Kraemer 😊. If you want to see yarn/size details (I subbed an 8 ply in for the 10 ply the pattern calls for) I talked about it mostly in Episode 15 (ruclips.net/video/5TNxiIyNTX4/видео.html) or my Ravelry project is here: www.ravelry.com/projects/oliphantkat/ayami
Hi Kat! It's so much fun watching how you mod patterns. I knit vicariously through you 😁
Haha omg thanks Jen, I'm glad someone appreciates the weird rabbit holes I go down 🤣
Lovely to see you at Fibrefest yesterday. Looking forward to seeing the skein you chose for the cardigan ❤

Thanks Roshelle! Omg and thanks for noticing my long-overdue haircut 🤣 That's a good idea about the ribbing, I'll try it out and see how it looks.
Greetings from Double Bay! I enjoyed your podcast very much.
Ahh a fellow Sydney-sider! Thanks so much, glad you liked it 😊
Hi Katrina! So happy that Trigonometric is coming out soon! Will certainly be getting that pattern. It is beautiful!❤

I love all your knits!
For the last summer baby I made socks, because he had always cold feet. You can make tube or banana socks.
Ooh yes a few people suggested socks! I just grabbed some sock yarn to make him a cardigan, I'll have to make some matching socks with the leftovers 😄

Oh my gosh, this is amazing. That's quite the potential name you had there! Thank sos much for sharing, I love learning about this sort of stuff 💜
Really enjoyed your podcast😊
Thanks so much!
Watching from Bunurong land ❤
💜 Hope it's starting to warm up for you down there!
Congratulations on your pregnancy, Katrina 💐 I'd love to know what the jumper pattern is that your wearing today. Cheers 😊
