Great job on the video!! No stupid music in the background, someone actually talking is good. And pointing out stuff...man way to go. People should learn from you....A++++++ on your video brother!!!!!!!
ive ran about ten tanks. I ordered a obr prostock.I was frusterated with the 23cc not being able to spin the tires in sand, with a pipe! Good to the point review!
Excellent review, I can't wait for my preorder to make it to Canada! Nice to see your Lipo fits as I conveniently already have a couple of yours laying around.
i'm jealous as hell, i watch these videos and there like "hey guys this is ONE of my losi desert buggy's" or "One of my 5B's" it drives me nuts cause i can afford even one of them and you guys have like 2-3 of each, but i also just got out of school haven't started working yet, i'll get me one or two someday.
There's a few other vids out on some issues with this buggy. No gasket between the isolator block and carb and something to do with a part having way too! Much play, I think it was a steering linkage part but not sure. Best to take a really good look through and maybe disassemble it to look for issues or take it out on a run to see if any issues occur and need replacing
Great review, thx for sharing. I've bought a DBXL 4 days ago and your vid helped me to decide to buy this truck. Another question, where you bought your car stand? Looks great too. Regards, Richard
Looking at the buggy today for the first time is wow. Sorry HPI nice to know you. For the price you get your money and some. Just looks killer and not cheap. I wish the 5t can come down in price so I don't fell so bad buying one. You can get two Losi Buggys for the price of the 5t. My next Rc is going to be the Losi Buggy. Going to look so good with a Bartolone Pipe.
Dabber422 No prob. Yeah, the Losi 5IVE is the 4x4 that's about $1400 and a great racer. The HPI Baja 5T or 5SC is a 2wd truck that's about $1000, and it has been around for a few years.
With respect to Losi and being a 5ive owner, the DBXL looks real cheap in construction and design IMHO. I like the overall appearance of the buggy look but my positive impression ends there.
Heywood Jablowmie' oh but it's not cheap the car has suffered more beating then my other 2 rc cars and all I had to change was a steering arm after I bounced it off the curb
i dont know what losi cars youve had before but i can tell this, hpi could'nt live with losi in the quality or capability department. Losi are a racing brand and the desert buggy and Losi 5ive are both based on a championship winning design in the 1/8th scale, hpi are just bashers, i dont mean to be argumentative but thats fact ;)
I dont think anyone wants to hear your review of how it sets on a car stand or how it looks. Obvious the car has never been driven and surely not enough to have an opinion on how well it works or what areas need attention. What a waste of video.
I don't think you actually watched the video or read the video description. This was a review of a car that had just been released for sale, and there was not any videos or information on the car yet.
@@MrKillerRC I did watch and read the description. It is not a review of a product....an unboxing maybe, but you cant review something you have not used and have no experience with.
@@MrKillerRC yes. Called unboxing videos, not review. English is not a hard language to use. Different words mean different things. Product highlight, unbox, first look, initial impressions all would be great titles, but review it is not.

They are in Canada see it today in Toronto..
The stand is an Axis RC - Rocket Stand. The best stand I've seen. I got this one from the owner of Axis RC, but I think Daves Motors sells em too.
Thank you for the presentation Kent! Learned something today. Good review..:)
Looks Great. Looking forward to a Running Video.

Neat! Thumbs up, i'm waiting for my buggy in Germany :-)

Love this truck. Wish I had the money to even think about getting one!! Do you still have the Spektrum RX/TX?
Nice review, Kent. Please post your thoughts after you run it.
Can you buy a top end kit for the motor such as a 29cc? What would it be called? Also what would be the best tune pipe?

You mean a Losi 5IVE, right? The HPI 5t has been around a while and sells for pretty cheap.
Sorry thanks

Kent Keller I Canada the 5ive is $1800 and found out the new losi is just over $1000.00
What's going on with killer rc I order a kill switch and nothing been 2 weeks no response no calls ?
sweet!
quick question.. does the motor mount aluminum to aluminum. or is it buffered by plastic?
It does have a plastic mount doodad under the engine. I need to take it apart and see what's up with that.
i am so surprised. it doesnt bolt aluminum to aluminum.. seams like it's gonna get loosy goosy.
kpopRC I believe Turtle Racing has made and is selling an aluminum mount to replace the stock plastic one.
it was just a matter of time.
How did the servos like being run in 2s?
Losi DBXL 26cc or Baja 5B SS 26cc What would be a better choice? which is better quality? thanks
+Lord Warke I'm thinking the same I may go with Losi it's stronger and it's a 4WD which will help a lot when off roading..
What's the battery life like
Wow thats the stock servo. Does it have good torque as well. Im not use to seeing stock servos being that quick
Yup. Stock servos. Only upgrade is the Killer RC LiPo battery.
With respect to Losi and being a 5ive owner, the DBXL looks real cheap in construction and design IMHO.
I like the overall appearance of the buggy look but my positive impression ends there.
+The Incredible Bulk ya i own the 5ive too and now i can really see where losi cut corners on this dbxl
Heywood Jablowmie' oh but it's not cheap the car has suffered more beating then my other 2 rc cars and all I had to change was a steering arm after I bounced it off the curb
should i buy the king motor dark knight or this losi?
rizzee rizz - KING MOTOR! Nearly the same, comes with MORE aluminum upgrades, BIGGER Engine Beefier Suspension, $400 LESS!!
Any Questions?
where i can found a body like that pls just the body !!
what do you think the best is out of this one or the losi 5t get back to me please
The Losi 5IVE is certainly the best, but of course it costs about $400 more. It's up to you. I have both.
Are you going to run the stock nimh rx batt or put in a LIPO or LIFE?
7.4v LiPo for sure.
Cool, I need to figure out the best fit... let me know if you already have a size in mind. I also want to add at SuperBee kill switch
Pontius Pilate Check out our Facebook page for more discussion about that.
excellent, thanks!
That car sure is beefy
How long's the run time with that 7200mah?
PBoy Depends how you drive. It's like 4 of the factory battery packs in one pack. Usually at least 6 tanks of gas, but maybe up to 10 tanks of gas.
KillerRC Wow. Pretty damn good.
i dont know what losi cars youve had before but i can tell this, hpi could'nt live with losi in the quality or capability department.

i find it funny how it costs $1000 for one of these, or $300 for a traxxas rustler vxl that goes twice the speed
volcomXdiamond you're missing the point
The Losi runs on GASOLINE - not the hyper Expensive Nitro!!
........ And, it's not a TRAXX-ASS!
It looks great, but damn that is a lot of plastic.....
The steering rack in that truck is week and the sevos suck
Ok? I guess you've ran one of these already?
Yes i did
You obviously don't like the truth, keep dreaming, ha ha ;)
