I called Taurus once when I was working at a gun store I heard a voice on the other end say It is a great day here at Taurus my name is ----- How can I help you ? in the background I hear guns being fired and I couldnt help myself I said it does sound like a great day how to I come to work there and shoot some guns? lol The guy laughed and said yea they have me over top of the range right now lol.
I recently (January 2021) picked up a G3. I love it, but now the G3 T.O.R.O. is out, I want to get my hands on one! The quality has improved greatly since I had my last couple Taurus pistols... the PT140Pro, and the PT738 TCP. I did like the little TCP in .380, but sold it and bought a pocket sized 9mm (Diamondback DB9 Gen4) just because its almost the same size, but a higher powered round. Id like to find another TCP, but they are hard to find now since the Spectrum replaced it.
Bought the G3C Toro conversion kit last week ! Optic plate screws were frozen and the tiny hex wrench twisted and snapped ! Dealt with Lori , Tammy and Sherry and was told to send the slide back ! I did and 3 days later they said no new slide available , no repair for the sent slide and a refund in a week to ten days ! All I needed was another crap wrench because it's an odd ball between 1.5 and 2.0 mm ! They left me hanging ! I am done with Taurus and I own 3 of their guns 2 are GX4's ! Love to hear from that CEO just to let him know how they treat customers !
That new 460 S&W magnum Raging Hunter is a great concept revolver. The aluminum shroud over the stainless steel ported barrel keeps weight from being unweildy as barrel lengths grow longer. I believe you can do no better than that model as 454 Casull and heavy 45 Colt loads can be used too. Even the 45 Autorim and 45 Schofield can be used. Talk about shit hit the fan versatility.
Taurus has come a long way but I wish they would change their spare parts policy. I had to get a spare striker assembly for my g3 because it's a restricted part. I paid $70 for that assembly. Great gun but only gripe is that I'm buying another Taurus a g3 next week!
Sent a Taurus TS9 back for service. Taurus out on the wrong color frame, kid you not. It's was just entered into their system yesterday. Frame should have been Grey instead of black. Since the frame is serial number, how are they going to fix it?
I hope they have better quality control, than years past. Taurus guns, in the past, made their guns look good, but have not given enough attention to the internals, which result in some good guns, but some, not very good. Since Taurus is a sponsor of Gun Talk, I take this video, with a little more skepticism.
Lies... Worst customer service I've experienced... I've bought four from Taurus, I regret it... specially Tammy ( supervisor ) from headquarters, don't care about customer service, they have the attitude that they have many customers and don't care about losing one...

Just had a very positive experience with their warranty department. Turn-around for me was about a week from shipping it out for repair.
