I have a lite in my back yard and I love it. You guys made some valid points but this is my contention. If you have a basket that's a bit less forgiving with the chains even though the band is a bit thinner it will increase your putting because of the chance of failure. It's like basketball with a double rim, get good on that and go back to a standard and watch what you do.
Hey guys from the South Carolina Coast. Great review thanks. Bought 9 Pro's. Friend has the Lite and as in your vid a lot of blow throughs. Inland I have 50 acres of wooded hunting land with many shooting lanes, roads and fields. I am setting up a course this spring. Only going to do 9 hole course with different throwing positions to make it an 18 hole. The price can add up quick at $150 a pop...We are calling the course Disc Hunters...
Love this! Thanks for sharing. Grew up coming down to Myrtle Beach with my family. I’m in the Rockies in Canada now so SC is pretty far, but would love to get back there to play! If we do, we’d love to check out your course!
@@localdiscgolf We live about 20 miles south of Myrtle but own a business in Myrtle. Yea you're pretty far from us. So you used to come down during "Can Am" days. A lot of Canadian's used to. Good luck with your channel, it's pretty cool. Love for you to play our new course ( and / or hunt and shoot guns ) if ever down here. We will have a mini bar at every hole to make things interesting...
I have the lite as well. The pass through putts we're getting frustrating, so for a few bucks I bought chains and added horizontal cross chains. Problem solved.
@@levig6238 I added two rows of horizontal chain approximately 1/3 of the way down and the second 2/3 of the way down. I cut the chain into lengths of 5 links, and squeezed the ends closed onto the existing vertical links.
Great video as always.keep up the good work. If your taking suggestions I'm in the market for one of those extention poles and would love to heard what you think
This was a very helpful video. I wonder how many times you can set it up before the threaded inserts start to wear? Are they made of brass or steel? A small amount of anti seize would probably help with wear. Thank again for this video.
Definitely! I give a light spray of WD40 every so often just to keep it threading smoothly. Thanks for your comment! Let us know if you’re ever looking for a particular review/comparison. We do have tons of content coming so please stay tuned… 👍
Thank y'all for this review. My family is having trouble in choosing which basket to invest in and this will help us all in our choice. I believe we will be going with the MVP Pro HD V2 though.
I have a remix basket had an axiom lite and currently also have an mvp lite and there is literally no difference between the mvp lite and the remix. I think they are made by literally the same exact manufacturer just with different lables.

Great point! You’re right it will force you to be a bit more considerate with weak chains. 👍

Love my black hole pro. Had it for 2 years outside in northern NY winter. Still in great shape
They’re the best!!
Good review. I ended up buying the lite. I'm using it for practice so if a few putts go through the chains who cares. It's cheaper and lighter.
Totally! It all comes down to how you’re using it! If you’re needing it to be portable and you value the weight, then the lite is a great option!

@@WoodGuyDGwhere do you recommend adding them? I don’t have a problem with pass throughs either because I’m a weak putter

This was a great review, I've been looking at these both and the throw-through makes me really want to get the pro. Very helpful thanks, so much!
Glad it was helpful!
The chains look thicker for sure apart from the band, and absolutely the sound is superior.
Thanks for making this review. It helped me make the decision to pick up the HD. It seems like the extra $$$ is worth it.
The HD or the Pro? We're hoping to review the HD soon!

Thanks Billy! Don’t own one, but I’ll see what info I can find…
Switching Gears YYC is going to provide an awesome disc retriever for an upcoming review! Stay tuned…

We literally just grabbed an HD to do a vid on!!!
Thanks for helping make my decision.
So glad!
I enjoyed the review! Thanks
Thank you for this, I’m biting the bullet on the pro!
Great choice! You won’t regret it.
im using the MVP black hole pro, very happy with it ;)
Me too!
I put 2 Bungie cords on the chain ring and attached to the bottom of my life made it catch way better
Interesting! Would love to see that... lcldscglf@gmail.com if you'd like to send a pic!

Interesting! Haven’t tried either of those.
Is the Axiom the same as the remix?
@SaddleHunter not sure! Hopefully someone else can chime in!
So buy the light then buy bigger chains and you have a cheap made pro lol thanks for the video!
Interesting! Is that what you did?
Any basket is better than no basket.
Couldn’t agree more! But some nerds like us like to test/compare 😝
