I remember me and my friends "played" fall guys day one. By "played", I mean sat in a loading screen for 3 hours waiting for servers to load, great experience.
This is what really frustrated me too when I tried the game. It just feels bad to get taken out that way, especially since there were a few games where you could just gang up on one team.
i remember that one ball game where you had to get the most balls in your teams zone and every time one team got completely dunked on and one team had like 7 balls
As a person who plays fall guys every season, I can understand where you are coming from. The game gets repetitive pretty fast but I can say the game and concept itself is very fun! Hopefully when the console and free to play releases happen some stuff will be changed. Nice video!
I can see where Foekoe is going with this, but like with all games/things in life, practice makes perfect. I *somehow* have over 500 hours in this game and over 250 catalogued wins, and can safely say that I'm pretty good at it. Still, even with the variants to a lot of the rounds to mix it up a bit, it does get repetitive at times, I can see that. ESPECIALLY given that Season 6's rounds have no variants at the time of writing, but I don't let that stop me from having a ball. Like with ANY party-based game, you gotta have some nonsense in there to keep it interesting. Most of the Mario Party games are the kings of random nonsense, so it only makes sense for Fall Guys to have those kind of bad rounds. Oh and Fall Mountain is one of the best final rounds if you know how to tackle it and use Big Yeetus efficiently when it appears. 😛

I'm actually having a lot of fun with it, I downloaded it 2 days ago and already level 22, I got the season pass... I didn't buy the game originally but it was $20 when it first came out and surprisingly they haven't had me play any of the bad maps you mentioned so it might be possible they lowered the chance of playing those worse maps... but anyway I I think the base season pass without any tier upgrades was 850 of the premium currency, but if you get all the tier rewards you get like 1100 of the premium currency so you basically get to play the next tier for free, with a 250 premium currency profit. You only get 300 premium currency if you don't buy the pass, in which case I guess you'd have to farm that for 3 seasons before you finally get a free one, but honestly the fact they give you so much premium currency makes me wanna go all the way get to tier 100 and see how much they give for the next season pass. That is not bad by any means, rewards you for playing.
The downtime between rounds is probably the worst part of the game. Even if it's free to play and I get to play with my friends now, the downtime between rounds basically killed it for me.
The difference between Crab Game and Fall Guys is that Dani is an individual person, while Delvolver and Mediatonic is a whole company. Dani can make his own decisions and is basically just independent, while Fall Guys has a whole team behind it. Who is trying to cater to millions of people and make decisions that they have to all agree on. Its a lot more difficult for the devs of Fall Guys simply because there are a lot of devs, unlike Crab Game which is made by only one person. I find this comparison to be somewhat valid, but fall short as Crab Game is completely different from Fall Guys besides the main core of the two games.

Fall guys was unlucky at the time of release as well because it was like half a month before amongus got popular and I don’t think it ever really came back from that.
I'd say most of the issues with the game involve how the dev team is splitting up all of their attention on console ports, issues with the game, and just how long Seasons take. Season 6 is looking to be 6 months long, and season 5 took 5 whole months to be over with. Once the Switch and Xbox ports are done, maybe MT will have the time and the people to make the game much more fun.
Now that the free to play announcement has happened and the game looks like it’s getting a somewhat revamp and revival, it’s fair to say the developers are not writing their graves out yet. I’m hyped

Coming back here after the announcement of Free for All. Interested to see if the shift to a free to play game will make it more relevant. Crab Game must've had some influence with how accessible it is which gave it a lot of initial allure and just something to mess around with for 20 minutes.

One of the problems with the waiting time is also that if your team loses in random squad show, you have to wait till the players get eliminated and for the next round to get chosen before being able to quit and get rewards
Fall Guys had potential upon release, but as time went by people noticed the devs didn't listen to their community at all, and so the game slowly died due to the lack of trying new things

well did you know that dani made a game called carlson which is a first person shooter and dani doesn't want to release the game and not listen to the players. Dani has the same issues as Mediatonic.
So that's why I can't do that one quest that requires me to do something in team games. Either remove the quest or bring it back (though the first option is way more likely)
Eh, you honestly only bring up 2 points that I'd say apply. You're right, the seasons didn't bring enough new maps, which is why many people just forget about the game and then come back when they can play maps from like 2-3 new seasons combined. When selecting what map to play the game also seems to have some sort of bias toward a couple games that change every day or, making those come up significantly more than anything else, which I suppose is meant to help new players have a chance to get better at the maps and qualify after playing the same map a couple times in a row, which is great for them but also ends up making people think there are way less maps than there actually are and anyone who has played all maps before is just going to get bored by playing the same 8 games 10 times a day. The downtime is definitely another thing that could be massively reduced... well maybe not anymore now that we need nintendo switch players to load into the game as well. However the biggest reasons why fall guys fell so much out of favor were the cheater situation early on, which effectively only needed 1 person to cheat to ruin the game for 59 others with next to no means of fighting back (if you were good enough you could sometimes beat the cheater in a team game and have them eliminated, but it's not very likely). The poor network implementation (everyone basically has full say over what happens to their bean) came with so many problems and made cheating trivial, an issue which couldn't easily be solved at this point in development. But the issue was glaring and they needed too long to address it. Anyways much more importantly than that fall guys just fell out of favor because among us became the most massive phenomenon since pokemon go before fall guys could really solidify its place in the peoples gaming day. If your video has shown me one thing though, it's that the taste in maps in fall guys varies massively. You apparently hate some of the most beloved maps while loving some mostly hated ones. And honestly, that's fine, it just gets to show that there are games for many different people. Also you're complaining that the creators don't listen, which I don't think is entirely true, because when at first everyone complained about team games, it seemed like they made those a lot less likely to appear in rounds. However in turn that meant that the game got even more repetitive, with even less maps to choose from, which essentially backfired and made even more people want to quit.
My personal biggest issue is the tag system, makes it so about 20 of the 60 something rounds appear significantly more than others, and they often weight in favor of the garbage rounds like right now pool party is 50% more likely to happen than slime scraper why???
if i were the devs, i should just make the game free to play as it is a trend with many multiplayer games. like despite its flaws, i really want to try it out my self so i could suggest improvements as well. but i cant cause of that prize tag :(. heck the only game in my library is tf2 and i flippin love it immediatly. wish i could say the same for this one.

One of the problems with the waiting time is also that if your team loses in random squad show, you have to wait till the players get eliminated and for the next round to get chosen before being able to quit and get rewards

Fall Guys had potential upon release, but as time went by people noticed the devs didn't listen to their community at all, and so the game slowly died due to the lack of trying new things

I was really hyped at the beginning with this game but what really killed it for me was the hackers and the controls; the controls are really sluggish and unrealiable. Crab game is good and free
well did you know that dani made a game called carlson which is a first person shooter and dani doesn't want to release the game and not listen to the players. Dani has the same issues as Mediatonic.

So that's why I can't do that one quest that requires me to do something in team games.
Either remove the quest or bring it back (though the first option is way more likely)

Eh, you honestly only bring up 2 points that I'd say apply. You're right, the seasons didn't bring enough new maps, which is why many people just forget about the game and then come back when they can play maps from like 2-3 new seasons combined. When selecting what map to play the game also seems to have some sort of bias toward a couple games that change every day or, making those come up significantly more than anything else, which I suppose is meant to help new players have a chance to get better at the maps and qualify after playing the same map a couple times in a row, which is great for them but also ends up making people think there are way less maps than there actually are and anyone who has played all maps before is just going to get bored by playing the same 8 games 10 times a day. The downtime is definitely another thing that could be massively reduced... well maybe not anymore now that we need nintendo switch players to load into the game as well. However the biggest reasons why fall guys fell so much out of favor were the cheater situation early on, which effectively only needed 1 person to cheat to ruin the game for 59 others with next to no means of fighting back (if you were good enough you could sometimes beat the cheater in a team game and have them eliminated, but it's not very likely). The poor network implementation (everyone basically has full say over what happens to their bean) came with so many problems and made cheating trivial, an issue which couldn't easily be solved at this point in development. But the issue was glaring and they needed too long to address it. Anyways much more importantly than that fall guys just fell out of favor because among us became the most massive phenomenon since pokemon go before fall guys could really solidify its place in the peoples gaming day. If your video has shown me one thing though, it's that the taste in maps in fall guys varies massively. You apparently hate some of the most beloved maps while loving some mostly hated ones. And honestly, that's fine, it just gets to show that there are games for many different people. Also you're complaining that the creators don't listen, which I don't think is entirely true, because when at first everyone complained about team games, it seemed like they made those a lot less likely to appear in rounds. However in turn that meant that the game got even more repetitive, with even less maps to choose from, which essentially backfired and made even more people want to quit.
My personal biggest issue is the tag system, makes it so about 20 of the 60 something rounds appear significantly more than others, and they often weight in favor of the garbage rounds like right now pool party is 50% more likely to happen than slime scraper why???
if i were the devs, i should just make the game free to play as it is a trend with many multiplayer games. like despite its flaws, i really want to try it out my self so i could suggest improvements as well. but i cant cause of that prize tag :(. heck the only game in my library is tf2 and i flippin love it immediatly. wish i could say the same for this one.
