I always wonder why they didn't think of inviting her to make guest appearances on the Golden Girls. She would have been perfect in that episode where Dorothy, Rose and Blanche had to do a kind of Broadway song and dance number.

Um, she’s a seasoned dancer. I’m 60 and surf and skateboard. Any person who stays active can still do things we did at 20. An average 65 year old would be on the floor clutching their chest but Ann stayed active so this isn’t a big deal. At 75-80 she could still do this. I know 75 year olds who still surf and skateboard. They stayed active so it’s no big deal. My point? Stay physically active, dumbasses. 😅

    • @davemattia

She looks older despite her vigor, and in fact, she was probably more like 70 here because there used to be a lot of discrepancy about her real age until it finally got wiped off the internet search. That's not a knock, and it actually makes her more impressive to dance this hard at whatever age she was.

Her tap shoes did have loose taps as do all the other dances in this blog, which make double the sound…….. I know this because my tap shoe’s had them too.

It is nothing short of a miracle to see that 64-year old, Ann Miller in 1987, still had a fantastic figure and those never-ending shapely legs that captivated audiences the world over in the late 30's, 40's and 50's with her specialized form of tap dancing Wow! I doubt that even a day went by without Ann having her strenuous practice. There's no other possible explanation than dancing and exercising that kept her so trim, slim and still every inch the movie star to look at. Just loved her dancing in Kiss me Kate, Lovely to look at, Easter Parade, Two tickets to Broadway, Easter Parade and on an on. Very rare video and great find. Thanks!

Wonderful Ann Miller! She just got better and better with time. She played a lot of summer stock and really honed her skills. When she was announced as Angela Lansbury's successor in Mame, people thought it was a joke. It was no joke. Ann was phenomenal! She wowed audiences again in Sugar Babies! Ann is inspirational. She never gave up or quit. I loved her commercial for "The Great American Soup". The soup didn't sell, but Ann was terrific and looked sensational.

This is so priceless and precious to me watching how hard she is working still ……have loved Ann in All her numbers all the pictures she worked in . No one could hold a match to her . She truly loved being a Star made , groomed , taught at the MGM golden halcyon days of yesteryear . In her interview series ( think there were 4-6 episodes on RUclips can find ) she talked about if she could only have One More Picture , One More go Around ……..it showed all her life , never had a harsh word the studio system or co stars .

@Justin Martyr His name is Walter Painter, and that is his wife, the assistant choreographer. I think you would be able to find the whole show (Happy Birthday Hollywood) maybe on RUclips? Liza's opening section is amazing. There are some really great routines in the show and many many Hollywood stars and celebs. Well worth watching, you won't see this kind of thing or talent again.

I wish Annie would have drank more water. She was still gorgeous but hydrating should have been a mandatory request from leader

At 18:27, interviewer asks, "How is this number going to look on the 27th?" Ann: "Well, we hope it'll be a knockout." Well, anyone who has watched the finished product ( ruclips.net/video/CCpCSHJPT4w/видео.html ) can see that it surely was!
