    Another tip that I use for saving money is to buy in bulk. Example instead of a carton of eggs, I'll buy 48 eggs at a time. Just be cautious of expiry dates, etc. Same with beef. I have a local producer that I can buy bulk beef Chicken and fish which has a high cost upfront, but I'll put in my freezer and the cost per meal is significantly less than if I simply went to the local store for these products. Also by buying things in bulk, I don't have to go to the store as much saving travel costs/gas etc. Plus, I can make up many meals at a time and then re-freeze them for later use, etc. Buying in bulk and preparing the food at home I've calculated has reduced my food cost to less than half. Plus I have more consistent quality food sources as a result. Great video as always! Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom. I've been sticking to your advice for over a year now and it's crazy how my body has transformed. People around me pointed out every day. I went to the local pool yesterday and it felt so good seeing so many women with their jaws on the ground as they looked at my physique. Feel so good! Thanks Kevin. excelsior!

    Im from the Philippines and this makes perfect sense. As someone who doesn’t have a lot of resources. Just sticking to the basics and not consuming 1 gram per lb of body weight and just going by 0.6 grams is something that helped me grow I have never had this much progress since I started taking my training seriously and that was the main catalyst for my gains even on my 8th year of training

    • @naturallyintense

      Truly honored to have been of help, my friend and the rhetoric about protein intakes are just marketing meant to make people buy supplements. And unfortunately so many give up because they believe they don't have the resources when they have all that they need to exceed. Thanks again and all the best from New York!!!

    Great Video Kevin, one question, I enjoy boxing as well as bodybuilding, I am doing HIT now, could you please suggest when is "the best" time to do cardio to not "lose" gains, is something like doing cardio before weights okay or?

    • @naturallyintense
      @naturallyintense  3 месяца назад

      Thanks for watching and I think it's important to accept the reality of biology. Our bodies are meant to specialize to perform whatever task we frequently do, and so you will always have some trade off in gains if you are doing cardio. So there is no best time as the end result will be the same and you have to decide what's most important or if you are okay doing both. Hope that helps.

    Whilst I still take creatine, fish oil, magnesium, protein powder and a few other supplements, now that I'm pretty much broke, my shopping list has gotten remarkably basic & I've noticed that buying unprocessed wholefoods (& the cheapest available) has made me leaner, mentally clearer whilst still gaining strength and muscle size... peanut butter, frozen Basa fillets, cheaper cuts of meat, Oats, potatoes, Pumpkin and greens (price fluctuates alot in Australia) - microwavable rice and sachets of beans and tuna have all halved my grocery bill but seem to be just as effective if not more than a gigantic grocery list filled with empty calories... thnx for your video. 😊

    I do think this is a very important message for people to hear, and not only for people just starting out in resistance training but also to improve the health of those who have been training for years and have routinely consumed large amounts of protein and protein supplements. Taking the discussion a step further, can you elaborate on how you calculated your average 125 grams of protein per day? Most people only know how to calculate their daily protein based on what they consume from animal sources (complete proteins). Did you include the protein content found in the peanut butter sandwiches, beans, etc. in coming to your 125 gram tally? You gave the example of PB sandwiches, a little chicken and some eggs serving as your daily intake of protein, so am I right that you counted incomplete protein sources in your total count? I imagine most people don't think to include incomplete proteins in their daily count and overshoot their intake as a result.

    • @naturallyintense
      @naturallyintense  3 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for watching and it's all protein intakes, not just animal proteins as that would not give an accurate picture. Hope that helps and thanks again!!

      No food in existence is without some degree of toxin that in large quantities would kill us all.
