Aishite aishite aishite is a song about a girl neglected as a child. So much that she developed a psychotic need for affection. The collar represents that need and when she doesn't get it, it tightens causing her pain. She then grows up and the collar stays the same size symbolizing the need becoming more painful. She uses this need to fuel her to become the top of the class and attract everyone's affection but it's never enough, Culminating in confessing to the boy to try and get it from him even knowing it'll never be enough It's a really dark real song. My favorite cover is from Remilia Nephys who relates very much to the song through her abusive childhood and she herself has admitted that she's developed a similar complex and satisfies it through her chat on stream, and it really comes through emotionally in the cover
Perfect timing! She literally just released an EP today and have an upcoming 3D Debut this weekend 🥰🥰 This cover is literally the best song to leave the most powerful impression for a debut, 1 year later and I'm still not over it😂
I listened to this version of the song daily for weeks when it dropped, it's so good. And then Ado covered it and I had to listen to that daily for weeks, too.
Nerissa quickly became one of my favorite EN members in no small part due to her singing. She's an experienced cover artist and her debut cover choice was a great example to display her skill.
Wow, this made me even more impressed with that song. That translation is excellent. Also, that subtitle work is insane, I dabbled with animated subtitles before and that is really something.
I swear I saw a clip of Nerissa talking about how translating lyrics for a song is different from just translating to get an idea across. If I recall correctly she explicitly mentioned that there are so many poorly translated lyrics out there that get the ideas across but don't sound good when sung. So that's something she explicitly thinks about when translating lyrics. It's nice that you recovered that. That's also why I generally ignore any cover that has "(English translation)" or such in the title. Also, if you havent heard it, you absolutely should check out Ado's cover of this song (aishite, aishite, aishite). She goes all over the place with her voice.
For those who are aware of her work prior to Holo, she has done many English covers in the past. Also to note, she purposefully chose this song as her debut cover to showcase her range and her transliteration skills.
there are lots of collab songs with Kikuo and Hanatan, released under the artist "KikuoHana". They're all worth a listen, but my personal favorite is "Urami no Waltz" which i think translates to "Waltz of Despair" or maybe "Waltz of Malice"
Mindblowing song for a debut release. Perhaps the best in holo since Laplus and her God-ish. And the translation Rissa did here -- so, so good. It's probably still my favorite song of hers. While on the subject of EN TLs, do check out Calli's Envy Baby and Roki if you haven't. It's very fun how she incorporates the original nihonglish words from the former into her own lyrics.
Recommend her covers of Down by the River and Lilium. Her original songs are MUCH more pop/club music and she has a more pop vocal sound, which is a shame to shackle such great talent in favor of generic music you'd hear in the background of a tv show
Ravencroft, Ravenclaw? Are you guys from the clan that competing with each other? 😂 The first time Her name released, wait, Ravencroft? Maybe you are sisters or something... Btw, Get well soon RC, hope you're getting better..
Fun fact: Nerissa was a choir kid, so she's had to pretty much relearn how to sing without using her choir training

Thank you! Always love learning the story behind songs.
Classically trained. Nerissa talked about getting opera training.
Just wait till they discover Elizabeth and her vocal range
I definitely want to see a reaction to her from Ravenclaw :)
Oh boi

Nerissa made a short about it.

Plastic Love my beloved 🙏
Im not aware. Where i could find her prior work before entering holo?
@@rubyyy911 This is probably her most "famous" cover ruclips.net/video/vunm-W-ovLc/видео.html
@@mistersnake5835 thank you
perfect upload timing since her EP just dropped
I love this cover, probably my favorite from every holo talent.
Ado and Miori Celesta also made covers of this song. They're some of my favorite covers so far.
Oh wow Holo Advent, didn't think I would see this from you.
Now to get Biboo taxed >
blue women moment
Perfect timing, cause Rissa just released an EP, so I hope you can react to that in the future as well.

One version that could merit a listen is Izuru's aishite cover. It's really good.

The demon of soup 🙏
if i remember correctly, nerissa essentially did the translating to english lyrics herself
I would love, love, love to see your reaction to "Psycho" by Hakos Baelz
This is probably my favourite English cover I've heard of this song . But my favourite version of it for sure is ado's live cover
And this is her debut song! Meaning she'll only get better from here.
Recommend her covers of Down by the River and Lilium. Her original songs are MUCH more pop/club music and she has a more pop vocal sound, which is a shame to shackle such great talent in favor of generic music you'd hear in the background of a tv show
Rissa released a new EP titled 'In My Feelings'
I wonder if you would react to Ado iterations of this song 🤔
She's not a vtuber tho, just your usual utaite
Could you react to Nerissa new EP next please. Her new song are so amazing.
Ravencroft, Ravenclaw? Are you guys from the clan that competing with each other? 😂 The first time Her name released, wait, Ravencroft? Maybe you are sisters or something... Btw, Get well soon RC, hope you're getting better..
is this a channel where two people with no singing experience critic others like they know what they are talking about
