Honestly, this translation is really good and Nerissa did the translation to English all herself which is impressive for someone that claims to be a "beginner" Japanese speaker (though she said she knows 2000 kanji so....). She really came out of the gate running with this cover!
Haha, feel like 2k kanjis means they might have grasp of Japanese, but regardless she did great!
Couple mistakes in this statement.
1) She didn't do the translation - she adapted translation made by someone else into lyrics
2) Knowing 2000 Kanji is not equal to actually being to speak. For example if i know 2000 English words but bad with sentence structure. "Type i would this like something" which would not make me English fluent. Same is true for her as well with Japanese.

For me the most impressive thing about the the cover other than her singing is the translation is so good and doesn't sound stilted at all which can happen sometimes when translating something out of its native language great reaction was waiting for this one

Her english cover was awesome, but I do know a lot of over vtubers who have covered the song in the japanese version.

Lots of circumstances we definitely don't know, and probably never will. However, we are just excited to be able to see her now. :)
@@DuoLeveling Yeah, imagine if she debuted in EN1 alongside Callie. There wouldn't be a need for EN2 and EN3.
She got hooked to hololive and inspired to also become part of it after Myth's debut. So, the fastest she could apply after that would be for V-Singer which was IRyS. It's just like Yuki/Yuna said, lots of circumstances we'll never know about the audition, and I'll just say her debuting with Advent is probably the best possible scenario because everyone there really fit in that group.

This is one of those rare adaptations that not only maintains what the original had but I feel like elevates it even higher~! As a fan of the original japanese song, this cover is just a 10/10~!
