OK so .... I'm only a part-time Metallica fan. I only have a few albums. But in the last 24 hours I've watched quite a few Metallica videos here on youtube and read 100's of comments & reviews. I can honestly say i have not seen ONE bad comment about Jason in all the vids i have seen. Man, it seems this guy has real credit. I gotta go check out his other projects.
It's because he bailed out before St. Anger and people have nostalgia for the Jason days ('86-'99), so they look back fondly on him. Jason is cool as hell but he's the weakest bass player out of the three imo.
