rewatching this while waiting for this week's final two contestants clip to be uploaded...so far, it's been dull n i haven't gotten a king challenger vibe(even though the current king isn't even that great)...mbc really needs to up their game in casting/scouting for singers who'd bring back the level of competition(i don't mind some weak nonsingers who want to join, but can mbc find the gems that hadn't been on this show as well? there are so many talented amazing singers in Korea)...well, when they get some the panel ruined it anyway...so eh...anyway, i didn't know this song's original singer...and just went looking for it....n watched the live stage, but it only made me want to watch this again...i love their stylings and how they sound so comfortable like this is their own song.
now this is a well even match, so much so that it's unfortunate they went against each other so one will have their journey unfairly ended at round 1. i don't get this show...sometimes they put two weak ones together that they could advance further and then their fans will brag a ton as if they're the best vocalist just for winning round 1 lol...but then putting two strong ones in first round..it's kinda anticlimactic move for next rounds. even if it's supposedly random....it's just unfortunate...though i guess i did prefer the one that won since she sounded more firm/confident and the other one sounded like she's trying to conceal her voice that it sounded a bit weird at times even if they're both great. unless that's how she usually sound. edit: actually the one who won this round should stand a good chance to be king since she shows great confidence and seems very comfortable and i feel that those are what enhance a singer's perf...though i don't trust the panel much after what they did to that previous king, gave him like only two votes when he showcased his range of vocals and abilities while giving tons of votes to the other guy who barely showcased vocals in his winning perf. and reading comments saying the one who won is Kim Boa makes me want to see her become a king even more now >
