Old vid I know but very well done. This prompted me to FINALLY order one for my Seiko SLA025. I don’t wear it on the stock rubber because of how damn long it is and I can’t bring myself to cut it shorter.
Is that a straight-end Chaffle from Strapcode or made specifically for MM200 models? That black strap brings out the dial's blue pop more than the bracelet. Thanks.
I ordered the baby MM200 Strapcode bracelet for my SPB187 and the end links did not fit at all. I had to return it. They didn’t have any end links that fit, strange. Bummer I hope they get some proper end links for this watch soon.
The thickness of the spring bar used Can I use Seiko Diver 2.5mm spring bars? I would like to know the size of the spring bar used in the SPB187 in the video. Thank you so much for the video
When/if my cheapest natos waffle wears out I may have to consider one of these. I do really like the cheapest Nato’s version though and much much cheaper as you might imagine.
Get a FKM waffle strap from Amazon £20 very comfortable, not knocking Strapcode/Miltat I've got a handful of their bracelets but a good quality FKM or even NBR rubber strap shouldn't cost $60
@@AverageBros ohh what a pity :( the blue version would be very nice for my husband 62mas Padi but Im afraid of using slim spring bar Thanks for the answer
All you need are skinny/fat bars. They are thin enough to fit in a traditional strap that has conventionally sized lug holes, but with tips that are 1.78mm - 1.8mm. They fit snugly in Seiko divers. Too small of lug tips have the potential to enlarge the lug openings on a watch case because of the "play" in it. This will ruin a watch case. It's probably less of a danger on modern watches that are made of 316L Stainless steel but it's definitely something to look out for on vintage pieces, ie, the Seiko 6309 Turtles, etc.
Thanks, I was wondering about too... whether or not it would accommodate Seiko fat bars. That's a big miss, imho. So, it's $60.00 for the strap, plus they charge $12.00 shipping! Seiko dive watches are designed for fat-tipped spring bars... So, on top of $72.00 for the strap, you have to shell out another $10.00 or so for 1.8mm tipped skinny/fat spring bars to keep from hollowing out the lug holes on your watch case. Standard tipped spring bars will do that over time because of the play in it. The chaffle is nice and I especially like the glossy ridges on it and it looks really sharp! But to be honest, I'm quite happy with the $15.00 (shipped) waffle strap I purchased on ebay from Wicasset. I currently have it on my Spb153 (green Williard). It's soft and pliable vulcanized rubber and is super-comfortable. Sure, it is only a matte finish but that's fine with me. I personally can't justify the expense of the Stapcode waffle when the inexpensive one gets the job done, more than adequately, for a fraction of the cost.

Finally a waffle strap that has the necessary holes for more adjustability.
Yes I’ve always had to drill an extra whole in the ones I have
As a purpose built strap, yes, it does need to be on a diver, IMO. Really sweet execution of an iconic design.
The new MM200 looks awesome!
Where can I buy it its outstanding!

Great review thanks. Buying one for my Hydroconquest ...

Straight end but you're right it totally does make the dial pop
@@AverageBros Thanks. Awesome combo.
Are these softer than the Uncle Seiko straps? I feel they are a little too stiff.
Looks fantastic
Great video man, did you find a better waffle fkm strap during the following years?
At 130mm do you think it'll be long for a 6.25" wrist or should I be fine?

Fat boy spring bars will not work. A huge design flaw in my opinion.
You could make cow pie sound like a honey bun. Good review

If it's fkm rubber you're on for a long wait before it wears out
Great combo
Love it! thanks for sharing.
Just saw this video. Is that one the blue or black strap? At some angles look blue but also black. 👍🙏
Black
@@AverageBros Thank you, I'm really thinking about getting one now! 👍 Or I'm thinking about a vulcanized rubber strap.
Also what spring bar did you use
What’s the website for these straps?
Strapcode
Just wondering if the strap is long enough to fit over a wetsuit? Strapcode straps are great quality aren't they?
Depends on your wrist size, but generally, I'd say YES, as long as you're not too much larger than my 7.25" wrist
Will this fit a 6.5 inch wrist?

Yes, Ali Express has one that looks exactly like the one in the video for 8 bucks USD.
Does it have a vanilla scent to it ?
if it does, it's very faint, but doesn't have a rubbery smell either, so it does the job
Fat spring bar friendly?
nice video
thanks Dong
Does it fits seiko’s fat spring bars?
don't think so, sorry

Put this strap on the mini turtle!
One thing that should be mentioned, and it’s a big one. This strap does not work with Seiko fat boy spring bars.

Waffle pattern on this ends way too quickly. It should extend all the way around. The gloss is nice, though.
Good review but why is every fecking RUclips watch reviewer a FREAKY left hander. It's just wrong dude!
