This solo is taught note-for-note in Lesson 2 of Jimi's Influence Volume 2. The course also teaches a 48-bar solo in the style of Villanova Junction. - Видеоклипы
To me Jimi was by far the best blues player. He never was predictable or repetitive, never overplayed and always kept it interesting and musical.
Not the best but definitely one of the best. Without Jimi there would be no Mayer, or SRV, and loads of other players. Only 27 years old too, I envy my Dad because he got to see Hendrix perform a bunch and grew up with Rene Martinez
@@keithremedy What do you mean not the best?
@@hesch-tag he means Jimi isn't the best blues player because he didn't played only blues and in the blues there are better players in the terms of technique, phrasing, tone singing, etc...but Jimi's greatest influence in the history of electric guitar is undeniable.
@@vladavasiljev I know what he means and what you mean and I strongly strongly disagree. Because he didn't only play blues he can't be the best???? What the hell!! His phrasing was incredible, his bends were extraordinary and his technique was blueser than blues. Most blues players are great but are also predictable and always play the same licks and that is what sets Jimi apart. He always came up with new and interesting stuff within the blues. Of course there are players with great technique but they often play blues that isn't really blues (other modes and scales).
@@hesch-tag i think he meant that jimi is one of the best musician in general, not just in blues rock.
The beauty of it is he heard this style of playing from nobody, and now it is the gold standard to this day! Keep Rockin
when you actually look at that sololing technique from perspective really makes u understand how technical his playing was. A+ man
exactly :)) keep rockin'
I tend to think the opposite. Its not rocket science stuff......none of his stuff ever was imho. On the other hand, how he played it was very unique at the time.
@@richieknight5423 yup, but it was played with total feeling and groove. The whole solo is like story, with ups and downs, calm and chaotic plus the sick guitar tones.
@@dantorangeau2570 music then👍
He didn't analyse it......he just played. Over analysing makes breathing complicated, but its not when your doing it.
.sick tone and playing, I'm sure Jimi would be proud :)
thick would be the right word. ;)
This is my favorite Hendrix song and by far the best rendition of his guitar work I’ve ever heard. Amazing man!
Man, that was great. Hear My Train a Coming is my favorite Hendrix Blues song and you nailed it. The tone, the speed, the bends, phrasing was as good as it gets. You sounded like Hendrix. I'll listen to it again. Thanks.
This is amazing!!!!!!!!! YOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Massive thanks bredren! For me, Jimi was the ultimate because there is a spiritual transcendent quality to his sound that nobody else really has matched. He plays in the heavenly realm.
Felicidades UN PALO. THANKS, Prof. Anthony a lot of bless for you family and projects ahead. A Santos, PhD. (Puerto Rico) Huge fan of yours lessons.
Amazing playing. The tone is perfection.
that is quite simply awesome.....fluid and oozing feel! job done!
OMG THAT SOLO... Spot on Anthony as always :D
This POV is the way to go. I can see a lot more thank you
What’ a great lesson and playing. Thanks a lot
Incredible! This is just stunning. 👏👏👏❤
Great tone, phrasing, soul, vibe, you captured everything. I have been playing guitar for 30 years, i stopped playing shows because of ms. The only person who has captured the soul of Hendrix other than Texas Blues Alley is Randy Hansen.
You said it
What is ms? oh is it a disease of some sort? sorry man.
i hope you are fine 🙂
If you love Hendrix and are ok with covers, check Julijan Eric out

No his wife
Another guy on RUclips named “pilky” followed by some numbers I forget really captures the Hendrix feel
Sounds incredible. Nice work! ;)
Man! Damn damn damn! That was some of the best ear candy I've seen, and heard on RUclips!!
So I was cruising along the old inter web, and came across this video. And I can’t believe who’s playing this! It’s Stevie Snacks!!! I use to watch all his SRV videos/podcasts. That was like a decade ago for me or so. So cool that you Anthony is still cranking out free lessons Friday. Awesome man!!! Keep it up!!! Great video.
nice work - one of my favorite tunes!
Wow, great playing. Definitely a lot of that loose unpredictable Hendrix vibe in there which is so freakin'hard as a guitarist to replicate. Solid playing, kudos and respect my good sir :) Must have taken a lot of hours to get to a point of being able to play stuff like this in a fluid way.
I always come back to this one
Excelent cover!! Great, great. Thanks
Mesmerizing! I close my eyes and I hear Jimi.
Kudos to you for nailing this song!

Whew, that was great!
Jimi was something else and something else....keep at it beau'. Jimi's stuff looked easy,in some cases, but the feel the bives the nuance's of his spirit ,energy and playin its hard to git it Just 'in' it and aligned like He did....play on Gypsy!!
I L O V E my lesson & I ain't even touching my "Miss MARFA". Puts me in a funk . So good.

Did the version from Berkeley inspire you on this ?? Great job captures the soul of the song and runs with it !!
+vangelisnik I think that was in the list of recordings I used to piece together the solo.
Smokin!

I gotta know what p'ups are in that Strat! Your tone is monstrous!

Wow!
WOW !
+blkdavid
WOW !!! times three. My Christmas gift to myself. Anthony !!!
Kudos thats some nice playing there nothing but electricity
Thumb's up 👍
What type of vibe pedal am I hearing ? It's cool !
That's the Earthquaker Devices Depths pedal.
+Texas Blues Alley I also have the Depths vibe, do you mind telling me what your settings were? Having trouble dialing in the speed
@@gdawgs101 Any luck?
That thing between the neck and middle pups - is that to protect the scratch plate?
+kinkynoah Just to increase the contrast between the strings and pickguard - makes it easier to see which strings I'm picking.
That tone tho
Hi Anthony! Did you use the same gear like the last video for this solo?
+Ris Pak Yes, with the addition of a Fulltone 70s fuzz.
+Texas Blues Alley Thanks Anthony! your tone is great as always!
Yup
Will you do Midnight please? or Stone Free? Thank you
Midnight Lightning, Taxman, and on and on ! - Heat my Train - MOVED me very much 😲👍 🌈
Hi! Which effets do you use?
It doesnt look right on a rosewood fretboard to me lol
💜🙏
What pedals are you using? Fuzz and a overdrive?
Fuck yeah
what album is this from?
Awesome!! What Amp, please?
+Zarra Jester A combination of a Fuchs Blackjack 21 and a Kemper Profiler.
+Texas Blues Alley Do you mind sharing the Kemper profile?
+MrLauMusic TAF - Tram Wreck Cranked Trainwreck, from The Amp Factory
What string gauge?
how u can get this tone?
Can anybody tell me how can be not hard as hell when you play this ?
I can’t do it 😅🤷♂️
Laurent Hendrickx just print mayor and minor pentatonic scale’s positions all over the neck as a reference
Better than the original !!!! Hahaha !!!! Beautiful Anthony ! 😁🖒
Hendrix is God! As is Angus! Sorry to the technicians.
What string gauge do you use. Correct me if I'm wrong but are they 12s or 11-52
+Tony Gunk .11-.49 for E-Flat tuning.
+Texas Blues Alley thanks for responding, I use the same gauge. Amazing videos by the way
close....but no cigar
For the solo, put the speed on 1.25 and enjoy
