I can, in all honesty, say that THIS library is my highlight of 2023! Loaded up the instrument, played a chord with "Light Prism 7" and teared up almost immediately. Yeah, it´s not for everybody but for me it´s going to be a top inspiration tool. Well done, Eric!
Sold, sounds incredible. All the synth options on world class singers. The first library did not step outside of synthville to me ... OT really set a new bar I think for natural sounding choirs. This one is very very nice.
Learning SO MUCH about how Eric Whitacre builds his "real" music; how he uses intervals (and seeing that he enjoys the sounds as much as I do). This "walkthrough" is becoming one of my favorite Whitacre pieces! Want to buy this just so I can build an occasional chord to listen to for my "daily reset" like Eric does!
For me, this the most interesting Spitfire release for ages, and the best presented walkthrough by miles. It’s a quirky product, for sure, the choral equivalent of Alternative Solo Strings. It’d annoy me if I wanted a specific thing from my head. But it’s meant to show up and inspire something different by doing its things. Can’t afford and don’t need right now, but happy to know it’s available…
Love it, I have both libraries. Please fix the Choir Evo loading problem in the other Choir library. I haven't tried the Contrast Evo yet. It's so upsetting having to keep opening the plugin in the DAW every bloody time. They are both beautiful libraries.
I can see the evos and gate sequencer getting a lot of use. The sequencer comes off as a granular synth that'll be super useful for effects and transitions.
What a genuinely dumb way to go about the release. Chances are, within the next 10 days I will have changed my mind and lost a lot of the initial excitement and inspiration I've gotten from this video. That and the fact that there are literally hundreds if not thousands of upcoming black Friday sales soon. Terrible release strategy from SA right here.
I don’t understand what this library has to do with Whitacre, besides it being a choir? This is a style of sound and effect that Whitacre has literally never done or used in any of his compositions. It feels like a marketing strategy to just slap his name on this library.
Well, they recorded The Whitacre Singers, which is Erics own curated Chamber Choir that performs his music. And he took part in the development of the different techniques, many whom are deeply connected to his own personal compositional style 😊
@@kjellinge Well, I know it's his singers and it's a choir, but I completely disagree with you that these different techniques are connected to his personal style. This library sounds absolutely nothing like any of the music he's ever written. Are you familiar with his music? Most of it is just straight forward pure choral music. The only piece of his that I can think of that *maybe* uses one or two of these techniques is Cloudburst.
Yeah, im very familiar with his work. But I see your point, and agree that Cloudburst would be a good example of a piece that implements some of these techniques. But this library is also not meant to be a pure representation of Erics compositional style, i think. But seems to be a more experimental addition, expanding upon EWC.
@@kjellinge I guess, but normally these Artist's Libraries Spitfire releases are supposed to be exactly that; pure representations of the artist's style and toolkit. Which this library really is not at all.
Or you could buy Epic Choirs for 29 Euros and save yourself 200 Euros giving you 200 Euros more to do other things in your life you wanted to do. Like girls.. Many are Naive
Eric Whitacre's enthusiasm is contagious. He's having so much fun here, it's hard not to join him in loving what this sounds like.
Love the idea of guest presets, more of that please!
I absolutely agree

I love how obviously passionate Eric Whitacre is about what he does. Sounds like an awesome release!
Indeed
Ha, I didn’t realize it was you. What’s up Joel?!
His enthusiasm is infectious!
It's called acting for revenue
Been skipping a lot of Spitfire releases lately, but I'm sold on this one ❤
Want so so bad! Nice work Eric!

The trailer reminds me a lot of John Powells score for "Don't Worry Darling". Awesome concept of the library. Congratulations
These sounds just instantly throw me back to Halo 1 thru Halo Reach.
Absolutely
Would never have thought, Paul Thompsons adjective-bursting presentations could be topped by someone. :)

Very cool. I already have ideas.
*checks wallet* nope.

Exactly
Emergence Audio
Gorgeous sounding library! And what a price point
Pre-ordered! I'll be fuming if this gets a Black Friday discount...
Very interesting Spitfire release and so inspiring !!! Thank you so much 🥰 Just bought it !!
Just curious to see how we could play Lux aeterna of Ligeti with this choir.
As always cool

Amazing and inspiring.
Bought. EWC 1 is a staple for me. Cant wait to play with Contrast!
Eric is the real deal 👌A wizard of the sonic 🙏
Sounds lovely... the mic signals for SATB are included in EWC as well

Another great library, congratulations ❤
25 mins in so dark that sounded lovely 🙂
Incredible ssound! I like this! congratulations !
An absolute gem!❤
6:19 Mysteria by NI? Sounds similar to me
Mysteria doesn't let you control the pitch, it's more about cluster combinations. I think this is much better and more usable.
Wait what. Why do we have to pre-order this? Why isn't it available today if you are showing us the premiere video?
It's the new sales model, just like with a video game

Sounds to me its a mix between EW1 and Mysteria by NI, but if you dont have both, this is a nice addition
Giving me the folk-horror flutters. Really liking this.
Will this be NKS compatible?
Sounds gorgeous
would be awesome with a MPE keyboard, is it compatible?
Sounds amazing, Eric is brilliant ✨
🎉
Doing great Job Spitfire! If possible make Colossus and Polaris as a Kontakt Library. Spitfire Engine takes too much cpu.
What happened to LABS?
Spitfireaudio->Discover->LABS
And Originals
I'm guessing the LAB was shut down. :( Had a great run though!
@@dafingaz ??? LABS page is still up?
@@ScottToTrot no updates in several months. Had a good run though. 😂
Phenomenal!
BST : British Summer Time, PT : Pacific Time ( Western time in USA ) ... For not english and american people. 🤔
What happened to GMT?
Thank you, if only there was something like a search engine or something 😜
Is it another string library? lol
Choir!
Eric Whitacre Choir, V2
@@Finn_01 Yeah, I could see now. lol. Thx anyway. ^^
Not strings - vocal cords
Price is way out of line
not being snarky, but as opposed to what? genuinely curious
the trouble is I want to sound like me, not Eric ...
