i think the one consistent trend for EC since launch has been Role Compression. In the beginning ,a weapon that just does PATK up for 1 ally was already good (pumpkin lantern), but now Kamura does PATK up to ALL allies, MDEF up to ALL allies, plus Cure All in one package. I expect this trend of Role Compression to continue, so Aerith not being the best “pure healer” probably isn’t the best way to judge. Also With 2 new status effects coming into the game, I can see Applibot leaning into tons of status effects to increase the difficulty curve of the game. For example , what if the boss casts AOE fog/fatigue/poison every 30 seconds? then the healer won’t even have time to heal anymore. We all know Applibot plans these things 6+ months in advance and nothing happens by coincidence….We just got a random Lucia outfit that makes her immune to poison, and now Esuna Cure All….I believe status effect meta could be coming and this weapon is likely a total game changer. Of course in a month or two , matt will get Esuna All too, followed by Barret, Red. But it’s unlikely they will also come with the ATB+1 for allies 😅 just my random thoughts after I saw the weapon
I love your reflection so I pinned it!! I agree Esuna All is the key, also MATK (All Party) is always good, this weapon is not bad at all indeed! I'm just not sure PDEF Mid is enough, and that's why I'm so conflicted. Perhaps... if we move into an Ailment Meta where we'll receive different status and Esuna All will save us all, then PDEF High might not be so needed. Or maybe we'll need 1 healer and 1 off-healer and then Matt + Aerith + Vincent could be the play (or Matt + Aerith + Tifa with the new Outfit). And if that's the case, then this weapon will play a key role in that meta and team composition. The key difference for me would be the next Crash Event. What is that event going to require? Would this weapon be extremely needed to clear crash? (Maybe, quite likely, and so will Tifa I guess?). Also agree that Matt at some point will get everything and so will Red haha. Let's see what the future will bring to us! Thanks a lot for your insightful comment!
@@pliyo Also don't forget, we can't bring all characters to the tower challenges. = You can't bring Matt to every fight. ^^ (But they also didn't go crazy on the difficult there yet.)
That weapon is work compression incarnate. 90% HP or lower = haste to your DPS essentially… combined with a mag party increase this is essentially a passive mag+haste party buff and a 3 ATB aoe cure (which so many people forget), I was healing with an ob2 rod with Esuna for 1800 with 3.3k heal potency. Now Rod is ob9, my potency is above 4k do you understand how much healing power 3 ATB brings to the table? We have two “haste” options practically, either we haste our DPS with our normal weapon heals or we haste the healer with 3 ATB heals. We also have a 20% single target cure buff so we have that option for fights that need it. And most importantly: even if you don’t use the weapon and you use Matt, now you have a HEALING STICK for party mag increase on your back row, which 9/10 if you remember we would use the DPS sticks there and essentially waste a slot just to buff the DPS. This time we don’t lose healing power for doing so. Again, work compression. Now, looking at this weapon from the perspective of “but it is only pdef mid” is literally looking at one freebie of the weapon and deciding the rest is bad because of it… this weapon isn’t Centipede, but it never aimed to be. I guarantee you, if the weapon did not have the pdef buff at all, most people wouldn’t actually complain and suddenly rejoice their healing stick is doing so many things, and now, amongst those things is also an incidental buff and because it is incidental the weapon is now bad? To me it sounds like copium for not pulling for it. For F2P ob1 is enough, as usual, and it does the trick as is. Matt IS a better F2P healer and the benefits of this weapon shine much more in the hands of whales. But, the Esuna option is still relevant for F2P. Heck, even it’s “haste” will find use against bosses that slap, as after each hard hits, you heal and +1 ATB. But for whales like you, for people that do ranking and solo crash, there is no “main” or “sub” healer… there is “which is the best unit for the current task at hand” and as you have many times seen, each time that unit is different. The benefit of this weapon is that regardless of who is using it, it will always be at least a party buff weapon and it is the only healing stick that does that, so I can guarantee you, each fight that is magic oriented and will use ANY healer, this weapon will be slapped on the back row as a perennial stat stick. For that alone, your healer will not sacrifice its healing power for buffing the DPS.
I agree with everything you are saying, also btw, I never said the weapon is bad (you also didn't say that I said that, bust just clarifying). I didn't think about putting this weapon as secondary, but you are right it would be a fantastic addition (almost a must-have?) to Matt as he could bring this as stats stick for everyone, so that's a great point, thanks a lot for your insightful reviews as always!
@@pliyo yes, I agree you did not say it is bad (it mostly to reply to the sentiment many people have, as they see the weapon as a “bad centipede” instead of a “utility fairy tale”). Matt and Aerith have different strengths and weaknesses and I love that not everything is available to everyone as an option. Matt is the king of buffs and rightfully so, he is portrayed with an aoe buff limit, whereas Aerith is an offensive healer, and this weapon boost both her magic and the magic of others and healing, and obviously paired with her gear her healing is unparalleled in raw strength. Much like Matt can use Centipede + Syringe for more buffs, Aerith can use this with Fairy Tale for more heals. But each of them is different and for different reasons, depending on the battle, one or the other is better. All in all, don’t regret it later, pull until at least the gear slot, which is tremendously powerful and all around useful, as it is combines the tanking of Electroarmour with the DPS party boost and healing potency all in one armour.
Her weapon is crazy good, you dont play her so you are passing. I get it. IF you main her its a crazy upgrade or her heal staff. And her outfit is crazy good.
For me esuna all is my game changer. That thing has been more useful than I thought, then again I am a fairly new player so I havent hit a wall where PDEF Mid to High is that important.
I think you could solve the pdef high issue with a pdef all guild weapon as a sub. That way you won’t miss the high tier and as you explained this weapon and outfit obviously do way more than matts. I think this is really good and should not be skipped, just like kamura.
Just my opinion but F2P wise - everyone who will carry that player will ask for this weapon due to the atb gain alone P2W wise - got the kamura combo that covers the entire spectrum of attack and defense… on its own it isn’t perfect but cumulatively it makes Aerith quietly critical to have… not as flashy and fun as dps but still critical as she catalyzes the victory. Not urgent to pull but a solid investment overall👌
People see ATB boost and loses their mind but don't realize unless you get it to OB10 it will never proc or maybe once or twice per battle at most. Is it worth 50k crystal ? meh
Thank you!! I didn't touch on this point and is so true, so thank youf or sharing that!~ Sometimes we lose track of the fact that most weapon need to be at OB10 to get the real value out of them, and that's a huge investment in this economy - even with these banners that bring more guaranteed copies -
People is so blind, with this weapon and Cloud's one you cover almost all content, this weapon is meant for hard content where bosses nuke you , think any Ex1 Ex2, for easy content you got Cloud's where his fixed damage is enough. Cant believe people is can't see beyond pded mid now that we can get our PDEF or MDEF to 200+ easily with brands and UW, their loss I guess.
krakens, whales...and not a single word about us, sea horses LOL I pulled till costume, 9draws-12stamps, horrible stamp luck but i got it OB4 with 80 weapon parts added and good luck with wishlisted weapons. I should get around 55k crystals when Tifa arrives so hopefully will get her 2 stamp pages
So would you put a Cure in esuna slot and all status' are cured? OR Is it like... Cure-Fog in that slot and it ONLY cures all who get Fogged in one cast?
I mean its his opinion but so far even tho this is a great weapon i do kind of agree out of all of them this weapon is last 🤷🏾♂️ my rank so far is cloud, yuffie, then her cloud is op as heck haste alone makes him crazy

Absolutely!! It’s really good indeed, I’m gonna try to stick with Matt unless this is proven to be extremely necessary!
Not a downer for me. Since she has equivalent Matt Centipede now with ATB+1.
So I can now AoE Mdef+patk all and Pdef all+Heal+Esuna All. +ATB
For me esuna all is my game changer. That thing has been more useful than I thought, then again I am a fairly new player so I havent hit a wall where PDEF Mid to High is that important.
This weapon is really really good for new and old players so you won’t regret it! 🚀

That’s a really great point! I’m more and more thinking about pulling on Aerith!
Kamura Wand plus this Bahamut Rod, Aerith almost have everything you can ask for a Support, if only they made it pdef high.
How can you get that 167k blue crystal? are you save it from more than 3 month ?
Yes, I have been saving for a while, trying to only spend premium tickets!
Love the analysis ❤

Aoe Attack up, Aoe cure for shit, Aoe def up, atb +1, what? it is fxxking great weapon
I think, outside of the esuna all slot, this banner is a huge let down. It will only shine at ob10 and most people won't even get close.

So would you put a Cure in esuna slot and all status' are cured?
OR
Is it like... Cure-Fog in that slot and it ONLY cures all who get Fogged in one cast?
It cures all fog, Cure won’t help you healing all statuses. So it’s pretty good! But not a “heal all statuses” mechanic

At least my aerith the single cure up to 8k lol
I pulled it in case I need the esuna all but only went to stamp 6 on the first page. Really don't feel like it's worth it unless you whale to OB10
i did up to stamp 6 too
I went to costume coz I got lucky on pulls. 15k for costume. Not bad lol
I might need to do the same. Esuna All might become really important soon!
Is Bahamut Rod less use than Centipede?
It´s way different, Centipede can give us PDEF High, while Bahamut Rod will allow us to have way more DMG by bringing that extra DPS, so in a way Bahamut Rod is better, but with some enemies like Crash, where you need PDEF High, then Bahamut Rod might not be enough.

My main is aerith and I agree with you pdef mid mid just kills this weapon
I aspire to be sexy and brave and good , I love the new costume too
tifa is magical non elemental dps plyo
That makes sense!! 2 banners for Phys and 2 banners for Mag
