Both will die
The 7.3l Godzilla engine isn’t just a crate engine it’s offered in the f250 .. but this megazilla engine is the upgraded version that ford been testing in a s550 mule .. they leaked the N/A version and it will come in 2 applications that’s N\A AND boosted but the boosted version is said to have a twin turbo making almost 1000hp but it might not be for the mustang trim .. ford been secretly making a thunderbird to replace the current FORD GT and this version will be more affordable to compete with the corvette
Bro, if that's true....
@@burgerbandit3646 it’s not. The reason they had an S550 test mule with a 7.3 in it is to test a manual transmission for the 7.3. Idk why people actually are thinking it’s going, every article posted about it states it’ll just be a crate engine and not in a mustang.
@@77tt33 I'm talking about the Thunderbird. No way they throwing a twin turbo Megazilla in the Mustang. That'd be too insane for a street car.
@@burgerbandit3646 they’re not throwing it in anything other than the Trucks is my whole point, they’re testing a manual transmission for the 7.3. Either way there’s no way they allow ford to put a performance 7.3 in any car with all these restrictions.
@@77tt33 definitely think people are jumping the gun on this one and setting up themselves for disappointment. Throwing out these insane numbers like 800+ 900+ 1000+ horsepower? There's no chance.
You forgot the Dodge Viper V10 engine was a 8.3 L. That’s it the biggest dodge engine they made for the street.
Don't say nothing lol
8.4
8.4 liter Viper V10
7.3L v8 out preforms the V10 viper engine.
Yeah for a “car guy” he doesn’t know much about them huh
That engine is capable of making 790 hp normally aspirated.(with piston and rod upgrade.they have already built one turbo charged to exceed 1700 HP.so I believe their probably be two version of the mega
The 7.3 has been in the SuperDuty trucks, that's why the HP isn't what you expected.
It also has been upgraded for the al new super duty's
Diesel engine dumb fuck
the camaro you were thinking of was the 14 and 15 Z/28. It had the 7.0 Liter V8 in it.
I got to ride in one around Raceway Park of the Midlands…. absolutely amazing machine.
Beast Handling on the Z28 thats only thing I admire on the chevy side, besides smallblock modiability vs mopar.
Chevy had the Z28 Camaro with a 427 cubic inch engine in it I believe that 7.2
Dodge is dead and buried lol
May they rest in peace
Based on emotions or facts?.
@@ljmorris6496 the fact that dodge is killing the V8 duh..

Chevy actually had a 7.0l in the 2014 Camaro Z/28 and the ZO6 Vette from like 07-14 if I'm correct. Its hard to come across a LS7 nowadays tho. The crazy thing is that they didn't put the supercharger on it but they put it on the LS9 that came in the ZR1 around the same time. That LS7 supercharged wldve been deadly on the road.
The ls7 427 came 2005 with the c6 zo6 .. it had 505 N/Ahp and that c6 zo6 still a bad mf it was a pure 10.99 1/4 mile car stock N/A still no car can do that til this day
That explains somethin
Ya c6 zo6 and the 14/15 camaro z/28 comes with the 7.0 na bolstering 505 hp.. very understated and under mined. With just a tune they can be turned up to 500+ wheel. Cam and intake they make around 580+ wheel depending on cam obviously.
LS7 cylinder walls were too thin for boosted applications, similar to how dodge sleeved the 6.4 down to a 6.2 for the hellcat and it’s variants.
@@themadmonarchist always wondered why just never looked into it. Makes sense 7.0l small block is probably pushing it to throw forced induction on it
Had a deposit on a 2023 C8 until I saw pricing on my Scat & delivery time. Pull the trigger on my Scat, got in 3 months. the C8 was promised to be delivered this month after what would have been a 12 month wait. Glad I went with my Scat as it is a manual & the C8 isn't & my spec went up by 5k! Also considered a New Nissan Z, but the markups are insane on those. My Scat was at msrp & the C8 would have been as well ,but that additional 5K msrp I wasn't feelin it. Glad I got my Challenger Shaker Scatpack Widebody 😈
Why not a demon?
Who da f got Demon money!, my bad everybody on youtube....the price of scat has went up like 10 to 15k in the last 3 to 4 years, a Demon was 85k new, I imagine mildy used one is starting @ over 100K nah don't see that being cop for most ppl.

Dude Siiick! I love the challengers and shakers, they look so good!
7.3L??? I'm listening.
I think what people don't realize is that Ford can only do this because of all the gas efficient cars they make boosting their fleet average. Dodge does not have that.
That’s why dodge is pushing forward so quickly with moving to EVs. They’re using them to lower their emission average while hyping up the V8s by saying they’re discontinuing them to make hella profit. From there, once the average is down, that’s when they can comfortably make V8s again.
I remember my pops telling me something like this wayyyy back when they were announcing the 6th Gen Camaro and all the new pony’s. This is the first time I’m actually seeing people comment this big piece of knowledge cuz it makes so much sense and raises the hopes that V8 motors aren’t actually dead yet…
@@Anime_n_Music and when the EV isn't the answer Ford will be bit in the @ss for putting all their eggs in a failure. This EV fade is Political and when the Democrats lose things will return to normal
That’s why they come out with the Hornet..unless I’m missing something, as of late you could only buy a Charger, challenger or Durango from Dodge - all gas guzzlers..Ford was smart about it - we all hated that Mach E…I guess it makes sense now
Dodge is on by Stellantis which owns a lot of different companies and they should be able to use some of those other companies as they’re EV sector and go towards there overall emissions output. But if dodge did choose to go this way or was forced to it’s still sad to see it.
That 7.3 will be limited like the Blackwing so don't get all hype about it
Exactly bruh! It’s a crate motor with only 440-460hp used in the Ford Super Duty F350s. It would look absolutely silly in a Mustang since the current Coyote is 302 cubic inches. This thing is over 445 cu.🙁. You can’t go from DOHC to a modular SOHC and call it progress for the S650. Plus, the A10 transmission is not compatible with this engine. It just doesn’t make sense to put this in a Stang. It’s probably better suited for the Scats and Cats rather than the pony.
@@mikehughes8023 like the elephant engine in the challenger. All of this high performance and Chevy is really lacking when it comes too outrageous horsepower and we're not talking about the C8 Corvette ZO6 and the Camaro ZL1 and I hate to say it but I work at a Chevy dealership...smh
Yes but they also weight less. People think the C8 don’t have much hp but it’s a mid engine car with no weight for what it is and tons of aerodynamics. That’s some science right there put into a car, an american car…
Everyone seems to have forgot about the 7.4L 454 or the 8.1 vortec and then there is the king, the 632ci 10.1 liter monster crate engine.
Pontiac had the 455 super duty trans am and the buick 1970 grand national 455. And the 69 camaro 454. Chevy has been deep in the big block game. Everyone forgets about the 454 that came in chevy trucks, suburbans and silverados.
2014 Camaro Z28 had a 7 liter. I know Im not going electric, and I dont care for flat plane cranks. If I want exotics, I will go to the source. So Vette is out. Camaro may be what I get in 23 for the supposed final year, a nice ZL1 with a stick.
After that, Im going back to old school V8. Carbureted, solid rears. Im dailing a 73 Continental with a nice 460...thats 7.5 liter, and its big and not fast by modern standards but that feel is unbeatable.
Leave dodge alone
They already are
They on the bench
dodge is dead now
I read the “code red” will have 1300 hp. It will be a limited edition as well. Twin turbo 7.3. Rumor has it that Chevy will also unveil an Iroc Camaro based on the ZL1 platform. Here we go gentleman, gas prices be damned!
There already a code red with over 1000hp
Code Red is a product offered by Shelby American making 1300hp based on a TT 5.2L
the 7.0 Chevy was actually the C6 Z06 which I believe was made until 2013
7.3L is 445 cubes. Thats late 60s to mid 70s displacement. Im glad theyre going out like straight Gs

Even the name sounds monstrous. 7.3L V8 LOL! Also, I dig the beard aesthetics brother👌🏾
Wrong wrong wrong! Bro.. Dodge pushed back to see what Ford would put out. That last car will get it all. 1000 HP coming son!
I think some people forgot about that 572 big block crate engine Chevy offered a little while back.

And know dodge just come out with the 2023 Dodge SRT Demon 170 1025 hp and 945 pound feet of torque.
A big block street legal mustang would attract a lot of people from every brand. Bet that thing would have a crazy aftermarket
U ain’t hiding that upper veiner boyo
Chevy had a 7.0 engine for years (427 cubic inches) from back in '66 - '69. Also available in the 2022 COPO Camaros are 3 options, the naturally aspirated (470hp COPO 427), the (580hp LSX-based 5.7L, 350 supercharged,) and a (brand-new fuel-injected 9.4L 500hp Big-Block 572 cubic inch) monster. TALK ABOUT BIG ASS MOTORS WITH HP
Then you got that big ass 632 making 1000 hp
This shouldn’t be a surprise..couple of fun facts that we all know, the Mustang has never ever stopped production..the Camaro has, every dodge muscle car has, and they were Mia for decades..Mopar had a nice 10-15 year continuous run but mustang has always stayed consistent..Mustang is thee Flagship muscle car..point blank and period.
DODGE VIPER IS THE GREATEST AMERICAN 🇺🇸 STREET/RACE CAR.
In 2014 and 2015 Chevrolet made a 7.0 (427cubic inches) camaro…
People don’t give dodge enough credit when it comes to crazy hp numbers. The ship has sailed. No pun intended
Dodge reminds me of back in 2000 when I wanted to drive a new Dodge V8 car and there was nothing available 😕 after 2023, my R/T Challenger will no longer be current, I'll be owning a classic, like I used too. But my second favorite is a mustang, and I'm liking what is coming up! Sorry, not interested in a in line 6 or a Dodge/Tesla. Love your channel Knock out! Best one on RUclips! Thank you for all that you do. These videos you make take alot of work and the passion, and it shows on every video! 😁🏁
Why is everyone discontinuing their best selling vehicles to their own detriment? EV’s aren’t ready to replace everything and I’m honestly not sold on them ever being real replacements.
Good on you mate Very well spoken thank you for APDATE😃
My jaw still on the floor 😳
All the makers are having supply problems. FORD in Kentucky is packing several huge parking areas, including Kentucky Motor Speedway parking and camping areas with almost complete vehicles.
I’ve always been a fan of Dodge just on the looks and the sound. Out of the three major muscle/pony cars rn, the challenger in my opinion is the one that looks closest to its older brother back in the 70’s. So that’s the major reason I always stood by dodge. That and the hemi engine. But now that dodge is discontinuing the old school looking challenger, at least not moving forward with it yet in the ev market, as well as removing hemis, to my understanding, I think I may have to move forward with the mustang. Never been fan of Camaros though. Sorry just a me thing
I like my challenger dashboard, although its not as spifiy as the mustang digital dashboards with customization, no where near ostentatious as the maro you can customize the interior mildy to make it unique, but its mostly analog without the tazer.
@Pufulica personally I like the challenger dashboard. I have a large family with a large number of vehicles ranging from explorers to broncos to Miatas. For me simpler is better. Never been a fan of having 20 buttons on a center console and 10 more on the wheel. My challenger has everything I want and nothing more. A knob for the volume, a knob for the radio, a knob for the ac and a simple center console. Nothing extravagant but enough for me to know where everything is. Lord knows I hate it when cars have 20 buttons on each section, with 10 more where the freaking GEARSHIFT is. Like come on, I just want to lay my phone down next to the gear, not on top of buttons lol.
Maro interior better than both
@@geton411 not a fan of the maro dashboard at all. Honestly the maro for me is the worst of the 3. Like I said I hate buttons next to the gear shift or below. And I’m not a fan of the fan shape or placements
@@geton411 if you are a fan though, don’t mind others and get yourself one of you haven’t already. Like I said, I’m not saying the challenger is the best. But it fits ME the best. Unfortunately, with dodge going ev and removing hemis, and Camaros being discontinued again, the mustang is gonna have free reign of the market. And although they’re not bad cars, people have to understand that competition breeds innovation. Hopefully one of the other big 2 returns
It raise ur heart beat saying that whole thing .7.3L megazilla in mustang ☠️☠️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥☠️
Ford: 7.3L
Dodge: alright guys time to ressurect the Viper but this time throw some twin turbskies on it 😈
Did this dude really say the 7.3 had trash numbers? It’s an F250 engine those are some pretty good numbers
About time Ford finally showed up. Dodge has had a supercharged 7 liter crate motor that makes 1,000 horsepower for the past couple of years. To be honest, as a Ford tech, the 7.3 liter engine doesn’t make anywhere near enough power for its displacement. The fact that it’s a crate engine only means it probably won’t be emissions certified and therefore not street legal (much like the Hellephant engine). The likelihood of the 7.3 being twin turbocharged is rather unlikely as the engine was set up for natural aspiration as a heavy duty truck engine and Ford has never had a turbo anything larger than a V6. I could see it potentially being supercharged however.
Also Dodge isn’t the only one being affected by parts shortages. Ford even has engine air filters on backorder right now. Getting parts for anything is a total joke at the moment.
Ford been had an answer. the CobraJets were crushing COPOs & HEMIs, now they’re bringing back ohv (pushrod) motor in the stang…they’re about to show both Chrysler & GM how to do it right w/ more cubes
Since ford discontinued the 429, they just gave everybody a chance to compete
Ford is Gangsta they run muscle cars!!been around whole time when Chevy & dodge both bailed out alwhile in 2000s & didn't take a bailout!
I’m seeing an article that says the 7.3l Godzilla engine can make 1450hp with a supercharger. Article is from December 2021, by roadandtrack
What all 3 car makers need to do is just have a old school division. And make/ keep the v8s with classic designs..
A 1000 hp? Will it be a different Body? What’s keeping the tires from spinning out?
Nothing...SHRED EM!
few bags of concrete in the trunk never hurts lmao.
The old Chevys had the classic 454, which is a 7.4 liter, so GM has never been a stranger to huge engines. As far as Dodge knockout, don't forget about the Viper with the 8.4 V10, but if you only meant V8s, then yes, the Hellephant is the largest.
Damn it’s Vince Carter Dunk Contest OVER!!
The Godzilla 7.3gaser come out in the f250 & up pickup truck.. was made to match the 6.7powerstroke in hp/torque.
In a gaser platform.... It became a very popular engin so Ford started selling it as a crate engine..
It doesnt match the torque lol
Dodge is planning a package with the Helliphant engine at 1,000Hp.
Might pull the trigger on that , currently redeye owner
Chevy had the LS7 in the C6 Z06 and Z/28 Camaro. 7 liters.

Dodge ain’t gonna let that slide 😉
The last Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 had an 7.0 N/A. I'm a ford guy btw. Love your content. Although your knowledge of cars is a little rough in my opinion, I still like your videos bro. Ford literally started this war in 1964. You all know better. FIRST ON RACE DAY IS WHAT FORD STANDS FOR. Ford was first. Chevrolet was second. Dodge was always last. Again, just my opinion. I love all 3 though.
Chevy not to long ago had the 632 crate engine come out and it's supposed 10.6 liters and make 1000hp n/a
He’s acting like dodge didn’t make the viper
Megazilla is naturally aspirated
Godzilla is the motor in the 2018 and up f250 work trucks. It’s not just a low hp truck motor. It’s 430hp 400trq NA beast. With simple FBO packages they are make 600-700hp. Just cam, heads, and headers. The motor it self, is a real racers engine. Big block, push rod, forged internals, and fuel injection. Sheeeeesh. Whipple already made a blower for it, plus the FBO, their making 1300hp+. There’s a couple pro 275 class cars running this engine on single big turbo making 1500hp+ If they twin spool it from the factory, my soul is for sale. I already want one to go in my Foxbody, then I can buy a s650 with one it already👀👀👀👀

@@nerychristian facts! Just sharing my opinion. In order to kill a brand you have to be able to attract both.
Dodge made a 7.2 in the past. The almighty 440. 7.3 is 445 ci. But I agree, Dodge is pussing out on their curtain call. Should have stroked the 392 to 426, and built it with forged internals. That could have easily knocked on the 700 hp N.A. range and stroked the hellcat and done the demon blower. That could have hit the 1000 hp level easily. That would have been the way to go out.
