Las Vegas summers require water parks with water slides, lazy rivers, and wave pools to play in!
Wet n Wild made it’s come back to Vegas in May 2013. The current Wet ‘n’ Wild is a revival of the old Wet ‘n Wild that used to reside on the strip which closed in 2004. No longer on the Vegas Strip, it has moved to the West side of Vegas.
Wet‘n’Wild Las Vegas features over 25 award-winning slides, making this a go-to destination Las Vegas’ Summer Playground.
Wet ‘n’ Wild has several eating options, the largest is their Oasis Cafe which serves pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, and fountain drinks. I suggest buying the park cup for the higher cost as you can use it all season.
Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas Tips and Tricks
You are allowed to bring in bottled water, factory sealed only.
Wear Flip Flops, Water Shoes, Sandals, SOMETHING to keep your feet from getting burned!
Sunscreen is provided at no cost at the entrance of the park.
Lockers are available at the entrance as well.
Life jackets are required for guests under 48" tall in the Wave Pool and Shipwreck Cove.
Life Jackets are available at the lazy river and the wave pool, all sizes! They are in great shape too.
Consider buying an Xpress Band. These are an innovative wristband that allows guests to wait in line for slides virtually.
Some rides have weight limits, you do get weighed, and NO ONE but the ride attendant and you will see the magic number on the scale.
No coolers of any kind are allowed which makes sense with no outside food or drink being allowed in the park.
Bring your own chairs, tent, blankets, etc. Tie down structures are not allowed.

    COWABUNGA BAY WATER PARK
Vegas isn’t the only one with a fun waterpark. Henderson has it’s own 50’s theme’d water park, Cowabunga Bay.
My favorite feature unique to Cowabunga Bay is their larger features have HEATED WATER. The Wave Pool, Kids Area, and Lazy River are all heated. Granted our Vegas summers average 105 to 110 degrees, heated water doesn’t sound like a feature you’d actually want. But trust me, easing into the lazy river at 80-83 degrees so much easier.
Things you should know before you go:
The Wave Pool can get crazy with people running into each other while enjoying the ride. Kids under a certain height have to bring their own life jacket (must be coast guard approved) or can use one of the several they have on hand.
Apply your sunscreen often, there are stations around the park that provide sunscreen for free.
Wear water shoes or flip flops - it’s a must with our burning hot cement.
Goggles are not allowed on the bigger slides.
No food or drink is allowed to be brought in, factory sealed bottles of water or baby food is okay.
You can leave and re-enter but keep your parking pass and get a stamp before you go.
Kids 2 years and younger are Free.
    Parking is not free.
If you have little ones that are not yet potty trained, they are required to wear swim diapers.
Check their website and Facebook page often for upcoming deal days, special events, and updates.
Groupon often has deals on general admission, check before you go!

I’m going to cowabunga bay today. Personally I would problably pick wet n wild because it feels like it has more rides, yet at cowabunga bay the wave pool has rapid waves. It’s really hard to chose 😅😅
