i think that gohans ssj2 on cell was the second BIGGEST moment of dbz. first it gokus goin ssj1 (in my opinion). this was awesome.
This song is actually called Hyperbolic Time Chamber on Faulconer's albums just in case people were looking for the track on the volumes.

This song is called "the hyperbolic time chamber"! They used samples of it for Gohan's ss2.
Bruce Faulconer is a genius in my eyes. More than anything, his music defined my childhood.

actually it is. the part ftom 2:22 is the song that played when he was transforming. so basically it is his theme.
He did light oversight and some character design but he generally gave the greenlight to Toei to do whatever the hell they wanted.

@TheLaurena24 No it's the theme that plays when he first turns SSJ3, I believe. I'm not 100% sure. That does not mean that, that's the SSJ3 theme. Yet again this theme also played when Goku was fighting Cell before Gohan went SSJ2. It is also known as the Hyperbolic Time Chamber theme.

@noshi49 the themes get named from the first moment they played. unfortunately this theme firs tplayed in hyperbolic time chamber so the official name which is in the album is hyperbolic time chamber theme. it is used alot through out dbz but it still applies to the first moment it was used in so it's HTC Theme

@IXECSTACYXI I'll say. I've played in band for nine years. I know what to listen for. Simplicity doesn't mean that a song is bad. I like Bruce Faulconer's music because, even without words, even though it's not orchestral, it still shows the emotion of scenes, and also says much about a character, in terms of their themes.

I actually liked buu. it was much eaiser to take him seriously once you saw how intensely evil he was. especially after he transformed. but youre right on with goten turning super sayian. at the rate they were going, i almost expected pan to be born a super sayain.
I agree about kid Trunks. but since hes from a different time stream, it makes perfect sense that he turned out like he did. He only fought as a sport, not really of out necessity like future Trunks. and he also grew up in a safe time period with all the luxuries of the Briefs family so he became a spoiled little brat instead of the badass that future Trunks was.
Lol and once again you hav a point my friend. The part i said about them showing is just my little speculation however in the show and manga elder kai actually DOES explain why Vegito's fusion is different and some of his statements support my original statement about the potara fusion getting a lil extra boost from the whole lil competitveness thing.

Wel maybe competitive nature of the two is a better choice of words lol, but actually it did give them extra power since it made the potara work more effectively as implied in the anime and explained in the manga. Plus when vegito went super he was giving off EXCESS power due to goku and vegeta tryin to show each other off.

even though people disagree with you....I agree with you..the buu saga we all could have done without ...however...majin vegeta was sweet...ssj3 was hot.....ultimate gohan was hot ,,,and hell even gotenks was a cool transformation....maybe Toriyama should have done a world tournament to end the show ...like they used to do in dragonball ..

@MaxFlared in one of the episodes of DBGT Cell actually absorbed kid Goku, but like you said with gohan, goku powered his way out. Don't exactly remember how though.

yeah it was trying to be funny on purpose and Gohan wanted to emulate the heroes that do that. But he was trying to create a secret identity and he was in no real danger. When he actually fought in his late teens he wasn't stupid about it.

@peterwowfan Only the people who have seen the Funi dub would recognize this music anyway; everywhere except America and possibly Britain would be upset because THEIR dubs' music isn't used. That's why I like the original Budokai music: it combines the Bruce Faulconer feel with the original Japanese feel, and it just goes together better than any other DBZ music I've come across.

True, but that happens with almost every narrative during translation. Accuracy is good, but seeing how rare it is for me to find the english manga's, and the fact that if you take that out,English DBZ is really fun then well, no complaints.
I don't really count GT, since it wasn't written by Akira, but Gohan, had he remained under training, Would likely have been as strong as SS4 by the time the Buu Saga started. (It's stated, and made quite obvious, that he (would) far outstrip Goku if he kept training, Goku was SS3 to start it, Gohan likely would've reached that point by the time he was 14)
@IQ2992 I remember an issue being brought up about that years ago. Word is, that Chris Sabat and others at funimation would press him in to not let there be a silent moment in the series.
