Life of an E5 driver:
Enemy snap shotting cupola from 200m away farming you in one game (Its so over)
You find a nice hull down position and the enemy can't hit and pen your cupola even with gold (we are so back)
Enemy shot into your lower hull and you got ammo racked from full health (Its so over again)
Not me, over 800 battles in mine, and 3 marked with probably the most consistent games I've had. The fucking T-22 on the other hand, my armor will never work like when Qb showcased him just sitting sideways and bouncing everything. Plus if I do get to shoot my fucking gun, half of them leave the reticle completely

@@thecockymonsteryes really...E5's are too easy to counter..it has a massive lower plate,a massive weak point on top..it's surely good in a tier 8 matchup,but it gets shredded in T10.. + on top,the patton shot HE ..

e5 was always insane it just takes a bit of extra skill to play

I don't know... Anything with an ELC Even 90 for a cupola feels outdated. I am sure top tier players can make anything work, but I don't need the frustration of watching how that weak point is turned into swiss cheese. If that Patton is not a donkey and doesn't spam HE, this replay would have been minutes shorter
just played a match where 2 Super Conquerors and a Jg E 100 did zero damage. is WOT even worth playing anymore, when Tier 10 is either full of BOTs of just plain idiots.
Last i played, its more pinacle of everything wrong in the game...one side has better rng on the required pixel snipes, 1 side has full field mod loadout and other barely has full modules nevermind bounty...and crew skills, 5 skill crews vs 3 skill crews is also massive gap
and how many battles you had with 0 damage? We all have bad games/RNG/team.

The E5 was my first-ever Tier 10 tank. I remember grinding for 2 years during high school for this, playing 2 hours three times a week. I haven't played it for 4 years now and gathering dust. but I'll give it a try in the coming days.

Right now, E5 has some better mobility at the cost of: Tiny bit worse dpm, big cupola, -2 less depression, worse accuracy, overmatchable/ less heat resistant side, less hp compared to the Sconq. The heat vs apcr is debatable which is better. (Fully depends on the scenario.)
I love my E5 but lets not pretend that the E5 was or is going to be better than the SConq. The nerfs just bring these two more in line with each other.
Been playing a lot of the AMX M4 54 for a mission recently and I'm glad to see im not crazy. There's basically no situation except maybe against lower tiered vehicles where I wouldn't rather be in a t110e5 or a Super conquerer.
Love how most of the workshop tanks are E5 equivalens when we consider major strengths and heavily exploitable weakness...either you dominate or get shut down the moment your spotted

Was always the best. People who disagree could never comprehend moving their turret. Hence the majority went to krans and s conqs... same for the 8 depression.
I think you and other CCs do a good job of highlighting exactly why the E5 was never meant to act as a 1-to-1 competitor with the SConq in the hull-down ridge fighting niche (more gun depression, smaller weakspots). Rather, the E5 shines when fighting on more level ground because it's much better at sidescraping, assuming you peak angles that hide the cupola, and is more maneuverable.
E5 was my first T10 tank. I got it years ago when there were only 4 nations in the game.
I switched to the E5 for Onslaught, over the S Conq. I found it bounced more shells in close combat.
E5 was always OP

I think it was one of the only tanks I ragesold after getting ammo racked in 1 or 2 shots.. I guess if you can play renegade you can play this.. I can't really play either..

That was vague and entirely incorrect. If you have the luxury to hide for the whole battle like Pub players then yes and even then it's marginally effective at best. Aside from that top Achilles heel the E5 would be a very well rounded vehicle.

Easy come, easy go. I remember my first t10 was the E5 and they nerfed it two days after I got it. I've never quite forgiven them for that.
E5 is my 1st tier10 tank in the game before the S.Conq. introduced. I played 13 battles were everyone was shooting the cupola, so I had 38% in it and the max damage was
For me the E5 works best when I play it like an aggressive medium with incorporated heavy-tank playstyles, if that makes sense. It's greatest weakness is the player's lack of awarness. If you are not barely face-hugging them, then you are better off backing it up and start looking for better targets. The gun can be super trollish and misbehaves like a toddler, sniping with this thing is frustrating to say the least. But this gun in mid-close range is an roaring apocalypse, you can dish out damage like an autoloader on steroids if you can manage to just sit there and fire shot after shot, it's frankly an insane gun with an fully trained crew and fully geared up load-out. Damn, I love this tank, it was my first tier 10.

They must have really buffed the E5 since I last played tier 10.
Back then, the E5 couldn't show any amount of side.
Hell I remember killing a full health E5 with a full clip of HE in the 50B just because I could see the right side at an 80 degree angle.

I like the history lessons you give on tank balance as you play them. I remember when the E5 had the nuts armor. Good times. Would be great to see a Type 4 game where you talk about how it was before as well. Miss the Type 4 Derp.

It’s my third favourite heavy at tier 10, with the kampfpanzer 07 pe being my favourite and the IS7 being my second as it’s so troll. Overall, it’s a great tank but needs either a dpm buff to make it actually formidable, or a side armour and top speed buff so you can actually sidescrape to hide your cupola and avoid the cancer 420mm heat from a jagdpanzer
Can't help but question if this is what you meant in the other video about +/- 2 spread and why WoT is not fun anymore.
I'm sure you had a good time but how about the T32 or Tiger 2 that supported their T10's only to end up as cannon fodder...
That is mainly a heavy tank issue. You just turn kinda useless when you are uptiered, unless you are a tier 9 with tier 10 lvls of pen. Heavy tanks have usually higher alpha than meds, but are worse in everything else gun wise. They trade for it and in result, get better armor and a higher alpha. Now the issue is, what is that good for when you get uptiered? You a lot of time lack the penetration to contest even +1 tiered heavies, you lack the dpm to trade with them and you are forced to fire gold, but you will still get smacked. Mediums in that regard can still so ok, since they generally have the better pen, mobility and accuracy, while their dpm doesn’t take such a huge hit. They get the better camo and view range. In short, their role doesn’t change, they are supposed to flank and support the other tanks in the game. Heavies sadly lose their whole use and just become HP points to farm for the enemy team. Mind you, that’s in general, stupid stuff like BZ176 do well even when uptiered, since it’s a premium. Renegade can do well because it has the dpm. 252U can work in tier 9, since the chasis is basically tier 9, etc. That brings us to another issue, what is the point of this game anymore? To suffer in horrible stock tanks? Let’s be honest, even when fully researched, tech tree tanks are worse than the premium ones. Even if they were on par, you lose a ton of credits if you don’t have a good game, which you won’t have if you are stock or uptiered (which you mostly are). Sorry for the vent, I’m just frustrated by this game. I just want to have fun, play the game and drive my favorite vehicles, instead I am frustrated and getting outperformed unless I play a nonsensical made up premium vehicle from Wargaming.
At this point, f2p is pretty much an intro into the game, while the rest of the content is locked behind a paywall. Unless you are good like for example QB is, having a completely f2p account is bordering pointless.
How would you like to fix it, at least to some regard? I would like to hear your opinion. I believe premium ammunition should be reworked (not sure how, maybe lower/higher alpha AND changed pen values depending on it), maybe the older vehicles should get buffed. Tech trees should definitely be reworked ASAP, by removing pointless grindy modules, like an additional gun that is just a stepping stone and isn’t offering an option instead off the top gun on a vehicle. Maybe remove tiering system all together and make a rank based system like in War Thunder? That might be dumb, but would feel great to just avoid actually playing some of the tech tree vehicles…

Well, even the medium tanks suffer when ending up in +2 tier matches as their performance is relative to the team's composition. Their guns, mobility and camo work only if the maps allow some sort of maneuvering otherwise, due to the general performance of the up tier vehicles, it's hard to move unnoticed.
I thought about how the "fun" could be improved in WoT and I think the solution is very complex as it needs multiple simultaneous changes and not one or another.
Amongst them I would reduce the damage differences for same caliber guns when going up in tiers. For example, have a 105mm gun do the same damage at tier 6 and tier 10 and not go 300, 320, 360 or the 122mm go from 370 to 390 and 440. This way the tier 10 could have better DPM (it needs to feel like an up tiered vehicles) but not flat out better damager per shot and better DPM as it takes away any challenge and makes the mistakes in front of lower tiered opponents less impactful as even when getting flanked it means that it can shoot its way out of trouble.
Another change would be the reduction of the HP percentage increase from tier 7 and up. If you look at how slow the HP increases up to tier 7 and then explodes when going to tiers 8, 9 and 10 it's ridiculous! The tier 10 tanks look like minibosses when fighting with a tier 8... They should have more HP, as expected but not THAT much more. Due to the high HP amount, flanking a tier 10 in a tier 8 doesn't pose that much of a challenge as the T10 can just shrug it off.
Rebalance the tanks so that there's no tank that can do it all! For example, the guns should not have great gun handling, great DPM and great pen at the same time! Make a formula or manually tune the guns so that you can have only 2 of the 3 features on any given tank.
The same for the hull behaviour: do not allow a tank to have great mobility, great armor, great viewrange and great camo. Have only 2 out of the 4 features.
The list can go on but these changes should be applied to the premium tanks as well. Otherwise it would be pointless to change the tanks that nobody plays and call it a day! I mean, buffing/nerfing Panther 2 while Bourrasque remains unchanged will hardly make any difference in the "fun" factor of any given battle in which the 2 are opposed.
Let me guess, next nerf is 60tp or E5

I had great success with the E5 in Onslaught ... granted I'm terrible at Onslaught.
It was my first tier 10. Still love it. Prefer it over the S Conq because it feels so much more agile

The MVY needs buffs
it will never replace Sconq on a ridgeline, but it has always been better on flat ground. cupola on E5 is fine, but the 8% of gun depression is not, it should have 10 like it meant to. other than that, E5 is a great tank as is Sconq even after the nerfs.
Its good for pro players only, or if you get an good map where you can hide the cupola
when i meet a sconq on any sort of ridgline its impenetrable, at some point i will fire my gun and the sconq can just roll up and shoot me.
and whenever i meet a e5 i just shoot its cupola. usually every 1 out of 3 shots hit. and soon its gone.
the e5 sucks but only because of that cupola.
Honestly, that was a bad and unnecessary peak against the e4.
Full gold v T8 tanks which says it all about state of the game.

I liked the M103 the most. E5 is bad with its low alpha dmg and giant turret weakspot.
@@1255XLim only at the T32 currently, but the T1 Heavy is quite good, so is M6 that is basicly meta at tier 6, the T29 has been nerfed but still seems quite good and the T32 feels really good to play. turret armor works well, even in higher tier games.

I hate fighting S.Conqs, doesnt matter what tier you are it feels like they fire gold and are only playing to statpad because of the awesome accuracy, good rate of fire and general chunkiness of the armour,
S.Conq has a weakpoint on the turret for sure, but aiming at and hitting it before the S.Conq hits you in yours is a losing fight xD

I do not enjoy tier X matchmaking. It is so stale and frustrating. I find myself in a lot of battles where players are afraid to get stuck in and trade effectively. That being said, I do enjoy my T110E5. It is an all-round brawler of a vehicle that simply trundles forward at decent speeds, dishes it out and takes it well.

I just finished grinding out the SC and WOT want's to NERF it. Like every other decent tank I had to GRIND. I'm NOT happy about that. I already have the T110 E5 is that going to be buffed in my garage?
Sc will still be one of the best. Pretty much still the same tank with 0,7 secs slower reload

The E5 is not like the other noob-friendly heavy tanks, it took me hundreds of battles in it to actually get barely decent in it. I don't have any significant talent in WoT I am just a Gold 2 pleb, lol. But that's why I love the tank, the massive amount of tank-awareness in your angling, positioning, and your latitude to your enemy and general awarness you need to just make this thing work is a challenge in it self.
the E5 was always a great tank, and still is. once you get that bad boy into a position where the Cupola is hidden, oh my GOD is a good time GUARANTEED!
E5 is the only tier X I sold. Absolutely no regret.

My first tier X tank,firstly sucked badly but after some research doing good with this tank.Armour feels forgiving if you can hide cupola and bait enemies,mobility decent, gun is next level. I enjoy this tank more than sconq.

With the Conq nerf, the E5 will become more popular. So WG will then nerf the E5, this is always what happens. They never seem to nerf the Russian or Eastern Europe ranks. Wonder why

Why do they always hide around a corner from you? On console all of those tanks would just come bowling round the corner and destroy you to bits.

Sconq is good the way it is now, it has it's weaknesses which in Pub and CW modes is quickly seen. The E5 is an old favorite but suffers not only from power creep but also from WG myth about cupolas, making it very hard to brawl with as it's easily 3 shot in the tumor, the boat shape really doesn't matter. I hope they buff it, the whole Amaerican line needs a good cleaning and they need to remove those hit boxes or make them smaller on the cupolas.

It is a great tank. I love it, but not at first, sold it, bought it back and am making it work now that I am a better player. I believe it requires a certain amount of minimum experience. Most less skilled players get mauled in it.
Im seeing the enemy top tiers only firing premium and it disgusts me.
That is the sole reason I dont play WoT anymore.
