1. **Fractal patterns: In nature you can find fractal patterns that develop from small waves to large storm waves. This pattern shows that similar structures recur on different scales. 2. **Fibonacci Spirals: The growth of plants often follows the Fibonacci sequence, which is reflected in the arrangement of leaves and the shape of shells. This mathematical relationship creates efficient structures. 3. **Trunks and branches: The growth of branches on trees or the course of rivers shows how the complexity and number of branches along the main axis increase, which improves the efficiency of resource transport. 4. **Net structures**: Hexagonal shapes, such as those found in honeycombs, are created by contraction and lateral tension. These patterns are also found in tree bark and other natural structures. 5. **Ice crystals: Snowflakes are unique six-sided structures that vary in shape. They illustrate how infinite variations arise from a common pattern. 6. **Spheres: Spherical shapes such as planets or water droplets are created by gravity and surface tension, resulting in optimal volume distribution with minimal surface area. 7. **Tessellations: These geometric patterns repeat and are found in the structure of bones and living systems, showing how people are structurally connected in three dimensions. 8. **Growth patterns in trees: The pattern of nutrients and sugars flowing in opposite directions in a tree creates a spiral dynamic of movement that supports growth. 9. **Tree rings**: These rings document a tree's environmental history, with the width of the rings indicating growth conditions such as drought or storms.
