Blimey quite a set up you have there mate very interesting, like having your own special mini version of the national grid lol . But anything you can do to stop getting shafted by the energy robbers has my vote . And if you get a bit chilly you can get on that drum kit and practice some iron maiden that’ll keep you warm 😜cheers dude 👍
Hi there big fan of you channel is there an updated software for the seplos BMS because the one you showing this video doesn’t seem to work, thanks Martin
Hi Martin, thanks mate 😃👍 to be honest I’ve not looked for an update on the software for the PC or firmware for the Bluetooth LCD BMS as it’s always worked, I did however update the firmware on another DIY battery I made in a wooden box with one of the first edition Seplos BMS as I’ve put that in my kitchen to and linked to the other 2 in this video with no issues and works well even though the cells are 304ah rather than the other 2 Mason boxes with 280ah cells. When I originally tried downloading software and firmware from the Seplos website I found it didn’t have a lot of choice so instead I downloaded the Mason manual PDF and found a link to the Seplos server where you can register and downloaded a lot more software and firmware 👍 hope this helps mate 😃 cheers
Spent the day fitting the Selpos BMS to my battery bank, removed the Jk BMS. After thinking out how to mount the BMS and having acces to the connectors , I came up with an easy way. After that I configured the growatt inverter to lithium battery with the Li mode and setting the protocol to 52, That worked ok , unplugging the cable gives an alarm ( no comms ) which proves it’s working ok , so no problems with that part, I’ll connect with the Pc next and set some BMS parameters. I think the Bluetooth app is for the Selpos is android only . Which version can I download for use on the iPad ?.
Awesome, I’m glad you’ve got the Seplos BMS working. The app is available for the iPhone and it’s called EN BMS in the AppStore and will also work on your iPad, the user name is admin and password is 111111 👍 cheers
Interesting to watch mate. During the shorter winter days how's it been running, can you get everything you need from solar alone or do you have to take off the grid now and again?
Cheers mate 😁 This setup on my house is twice as powerful as the one on my garage and since I’ve had it on in mid January I’ve only had to go on grid for 2 days and hardly took anything so it’s working really well mate, I think I’ll still have to go on grid for a few days through winter but I’m working on other methods of off grid power to get through them mate 👍 cheers man
Hi there , it’s me again William, Ive been looking at the charge limitation when using octopus go. With growatt 5000es, I found a simple din rail timer contactor that we can use to program the exact times for the inverter, setting the inverter to always allow charging , then switch in the grid with the timer contactor. Also I found a 100amp mains charger from signature solar , this can then be used with the timer contactor to allow 100 amp charging to the minute without using the inverters at all.
@@pcmultimedia1 Hi William, sounds good, also the separate charger is a good move especially if you also have batteries on standby that aren’t even connected to your solar setup, that way you could still take advantage of the cheaper night rates if your normal solar setup is still charged. I think with any spare money I get I’m going to build as many batteries as I can afford 😂 cheers 👍

Thank you for this simple overview, and especially the pinout for the USB to Seplos connection.
No problem mate 😃 thanks for watching 👍

Cheers mate 😃 I prefer being wired up different 😂 ⚡️

Is this box and BMS work well? Is this kit worth the price?
Hi, yes very good quality and works very well 👍 thanks
@@CarJunkeez OK! And does the BMS balance the battery cells well?
@@ivaylomanolov1455 yes it does over a prolonged period.
Do you have a contact link for that 3D printed case, what cost ?.
Hi, it was from seller afsar.imam on ebay, think it was around £40 but unfortunately it’s no longer available. Thanks
Hey whats the name of the Ios App your using on the iPad?
