lol vic being a good sport posting performers using promark sticks, just shows they are in it for the love of music and not making money
Or that Vics marching sticks suck.
Dallin Stagg Only if you get bad pairs. I love Innovative’s designs the most, but I get a lot of poopy pairs from them. Same with the System Blue sticks. Half great, half poopy.
UltraPercussion I only use IP, I used to use vic, I used McNutts, but I love rennicks way more, I use his Snare and Quad sticks
@@Iplayquad cassellas are the best snare or tenor imo, but the jeff queen solo sticks from vic are the best pad sticks hands down, incredible feel
Dallin Stagg I personally have tried damn near every sticks, and my top 5 are
5. Dc50’s
4. MS3s
3. Paul rennicks
2. Jim casellas
1. Colin McNutts
Not all their sticks are bad, but some definitely suck from VF
Probably took them 3 minutes to coordinate this and put in visuals. There all legends in my book
Where can I find your book? Thank you
Thank god they’re legends in your book holy shit imagine if they were just legends not in your book
@@chrispeacock2650 Fascinating. Somehow, you found a way to become offended at someone giving a compliment. Let me guess....Generation Z? So, how are people around you supposed to react when YOU give a compliment or negative critique about anything in life? Breh, take a chill pill.....Now back to enjoying drumming videos...
@@rudy8146 😂😂😂 definitely gen z
God I love that old Phantom Regiment lick!!!!
Scott Johnson still killin it!!!
I've competed against Tim Greene and I have nothing but the up most respect for him as a drummer and all around individual.
All of those guys are very good at drumming.
Love Dr. Wooton Jumping during that one section
I've never seen Vic like this with all of the cool moves and the lay back and stuff *I SEE YOU*
Loved watching you play this at Maumell Central Arkansas Clinic. You've taught me a lot about technique and rudimental drumming and the different styles of music in that short 3 day period. Thank you for taking your time out to teach us.
They played "ain't nothin sweet," enough said.
The 9 people who disliked this, probably think they are better 😂😂😂
love the way John dances lmao
We've been waiting for this

“Slow it down, break it down, so you can throw it down” - Wooten
Execelent! Where do i download the book?
who is the tall black guy at the end next to ralph nader?
Tim Greene
This is the sort of gig that would have me wishing for BASS, in the form of a PremierⓇ 398816, dual RemoⓇ PM-2028-MP PowerMaxⓇ II heads, and a pair of Vic FirthⓇ GSTH beaters. The CorpsmasterⓇ snare stick range has some excellent models, signature and otherwise, in full scale production; I use the SRHN Ralph Hardimon nylon-tips myself, and the MS5 picks up where the SSJ Scott Johnson model left off.
(One stick I have under consideration for a future purchase is the SMJ Mike Jackson model, which I'd like to test-run on a NOS YamahaⓇ MTS-9214 birchbuilt twin-snare configured with RemoⓇ KS-0524-00 CybermaxⓇ batter and KL-0214-SA Falams IIⓇ resonant, plus PearlⓇ CH-5S batter-hoop hook, LR-40 leg rest and SLG-100 double sling, in the pipe-and-drum-corps environment.)
@117288745598270838831 I wouldn't use nylon tips on calfhides, but most current plastics (e.g., the EvansⓇ/D'AddarioⓇ B14HD on my TamaⓇ/HoshinoⓇ IMS145, and the B08EC2S through B16EC2S (evens) I plan on for new tom batters) tolerate them well; the nylon tips are often used for brighter tone on cymbal bells and bows.
Most sane pipe band drummer
Back when Scott Johnson didnt use system blue
Isn’t Ralph Nader sponsored by primary?
ahh!!! AMAZING. I WANT TO LEAN THIS
Please do a breakdown of this
Wait wait so this is on the Vic youtube... but Scott Johnson's Scojo sticks are by Promark and so are the BYOS sticks...
Alex Mok Yeah. Vic Firth is showing Tim Greene, and it doesn’t matter to them that the others are using different sticks as the performance was good.
Nice juggling act.
0:59 sample from terraria legacy console tutorial music
And here we see Ralph Nader in his natural habitat....with four friends
The to byos or to be spacific the two black dudes also use pro mark sticks it’s not just scojo
OTTO Rocket HD There are three black dudes tho
They replaced Jeff Queen with Scott Johnson?
I don't like it but Scott is better than him I would've liked it more if Jeff was switched with the tall black dude next to Ralph
@@TheScrappedPodcast true
Jeff Queen couldn't make it
RALPH
Lol at Harv breaking and not doing the stick flip at 3:40
Flams are so HARD to play FAST.
This is so cheesy lol
Scojo is a better drummer, but Dr Throwdown has more feel and attitude.
I’d say Ralph is actually a better drummer as he is younger and still has his chops while Scojo’s hands have deteriated
I'm not knocking John Wooten as a player because he's a master in my book, but, anyone else think his technique looks to floppy and loose?
Yes, Jacob, thanks for noticing. That's a compliment by the way, not a knock.
+John Wooton thanks for the reply! What's your reasoning for not having that drum corps tight technique?
+Jacob Agee Reason for not being tight? I like how you call it "Drum Corps Tight". I like to think of myself as "Drum Corps Loose." LOL! Actually none of these guys play tight. Ralph Nader is smooth as butta! You are getting the wrong idea about technique if you think that being tight is something you want to accomplish. You are going in the wrong direction. The trick to speed, endurance, power, good sound, and groove is to be as loose as possible. Only use tension when you need it and only use as much as you need. Too many bad techniques being taught today because people assume you have to be tight to be uniform. You have to be the same to be uniform, not tight. Also, I am a musician, not just a Rudimental drummer. My technique must carry over onto other instruments. If you practice a technique that is non-transferable then your drumming career is over as soon as you age out of drum crops, because there is no place else you can use this technique. Hope this helps.
+John Wooton lol I didn't mean literally tight I meant that tighter look that you typically see in drum corps!
+Jacob Agee I don't know what you mean then. Perhaps you should try a different adjective. Tight is tight and I do see drummers in the marching arts playing too "tight" too often. IMHO.
I thought this was vic firth not system blue wtf
Pretty sure only 2 outta the 5 are system blue people and there aren’t any system blue drums in this video anyways lol
they didn't do a single flam five. i'm unsubscribing
They do alot tho but lol I love this joke
*sniff I smell dirt
Jayden Phillips Are you outside cause this was clean
@@mr.friendly1256 false
There is one in every crowd... We rehearsed this together on drums for literally 45 minutes before performing this. Considering that, I’d say it’s pretty freakin clean. Just sayin’.
the guy on the left is trash, he keeps breaking
Greene if you read this it was Grayson
You’re not any better
Samurai Legend 😂😂It was a joke, He’s my Band Director, Mr Greene is a legend
Sorry bro😂
so, 5 people doing the exact same thing. at least boring
