To be honest, when I started put Rubik's Cubes. All I did was just keep turning the cube over and over again. I didn't realize I had to solve the puzzle, all I did was turn the cube for fun. As this helps me calm down.
With just having received my cube in the mail yesterday in the evening, I’ve managed to memorize the beginners method and score a personal best of 2:34. I have no prior experience with a cube at all but find your videos inspiring. Love how you explain what you’re thinking and how you articulate your processes of planning. Your videos will definitely help. Thank you!
Your vids make me want to try solve rubrik cubes again, as i never did when i was a kid. Three days ago i bought my new cube and try to solve it by seeing an instruction on youtube. Now i can solve a cube under 5 mins only with beginners move. I really enjoy it, one day i may try to learn other methods but for now i'm satisfied with my new acquired skills.
I first learned from a guy on RUclips who introduced himself as Dan Brown. I don’t think his video exists anymore. If it does, it’s been at least 15 years since I’ve seen it. I use the method he taught all the time, and I saw it in your analysis. Planning ahead and memorizing all the different scenarios that exist? That is what blows my mind. I got under a minute once. I’ll have to use this as inspiration to reach the next level. You rock!
After watching this video, I'm coming to the realization that Soup Timmy is a force that we will all have to eventually reckon with...😊 Keep up the great work 💪!
I made a method called f2m (final two moves) so first you need to get 1 corner in the right place and all of its bordering peices mus be solved, then solve the rest
great explanation, I've always wanted to know what it is like from the cuber's point of view!! (: May I request that the next Rubik's cube mosaic be of Nagisa Shiota, from Assassination Classroom. Please, and Thank you!!! BTW I love your channel! ❤💖❤💖
Will you make a video on how to learn F to L that’s my only struggle I’m averaging a minute and 45 seconds for one solve on a Rubiks cube and I think I have to weld will help
Being a cuber in learning I theoretically know that you're supposed to look ahead every step but I just suck and keep spending 3~5 seconds to find each F2L pair lol
I've been practicing my lookahead for the last like month and yes it's super difficult, but so worth it my average is still only about 18 to 20 seconds sometimes 17 but my pb is 12.73 and I could've screamed when I did that. Practice it no matter how frustrating it is do it and it'll make you elated.
Top cubers identify which color has the "easiest cross solution" within the first 1 or 2 seconds of inspection and pick that color for their base. If you do this, you are considered a "color neutral" cuber. However it is very hard to be color neutral on 3x3 and bigger cubes if you don't learn to be from the beginning. Most intermediate solvers always choose white or maybe some other color to which they are used to (but always the same color).
best thing i've found is to turn so slowly that you never pause even if your times take a hit. if you continue for a while your TPS will slowly increase and you will be doing completely pause-less solves. the common misconception with slow solves is that your doing everything you would normally do but slower but you are actually putting more attention and focus into perfecting your finger-tricks and looking ahead further

It is quite fun to fidget, I still do it even if I am not trying to solve it

Same😅
Same, I get stressed easily so that *along with therapy putty* really help
I think that was the intentional purpose of cube before the creator realised he made a puzzle
Thank you, Timmy.
Your perspective is super useful to me, especially in the planning of solving the cube.

How fast can you solve it now?
@ my new personal best is 28 seconds after practicing on and off for the past couple months 👍
Awesome video like always Timmy!!!! The "math calculation" part had me laughing so hard because that is literally what everyone thinks 🤣

Yeah, so don't tell people there is a pattern in solving a rubik's cube to think that we're smart

I see a Rubik’s cube when solving a Rubik’s cube
Nice to have a memory that can handle all those cases and algorithms.
I’m bad at solving a cube
Give it a try again I believe in you 🙌
I average 27 second ;-;
I'm 20.150😢
I avg about 52 seconds. I will soon avg 28 seconds and don’t worry. You’ll get better at solving

Hey @souptimmy Im a big fan and im already subbed, can you please do a video on a 3x3 mirror cube? i would really appreciate it

Wow good solve my dude 👍
Rule #1: to solve like a pro
Be like souptimmy.
Can you make a Camman Rubik cube art? if you do we will get you to 3.50 million subs by october
Always remember only 10% of cubers get to sub 10 after 10 years of cubing
Hey Souptimmy, how did u memorize oll and pll its like 100 possibilities!
Being a cuber in learning I theoretically know that you're supposed to look ahead every step but I just suck and keep spending 3~5 seconds to find each F2L pair lol
exactly 💀 like performing f2l is easy but i swear it's js so hard to locate each pair

This 100% makes no sense it actually makes it more confusing 😭😂
Bro got his new pb while recording lol😂😂😂
That f2l cases were sick.
Damn may I ask how long it took you to memorize all 57 algorithms of CFOP?
Can you make a tutorial how to solve
A 3×3
The fact that Timmy has the same knowledge of 3x3 as I do yet he is faster makes me laugh.
Same thing either me
With me
I like ur sense of humor
My 3x3 WCA Single is 22.9
You are a good cuber, good video and a youtuber
Can you make longer videos 😊
I think you should do a full tutorial
Can u make a tutorial on cfop cuz im struggling with it
Can you make a tutorial on how to solve a Rubik's cube faster
To solve without reviewing it every time is hard
Do you always use white as your base, or do you ever start with a different color?
I always do bc it usually has the cubing logo on it so it's easy to pick out
it is symmetric so i don't see why not, would prob make identifying what algorihtim he needs to use harder tho if it is mostly visual

could have shown the ZBLL 1:03 so that you could talk about alg sets
I love your videos
Timmy, what cube 3×3 cube do you use
My teacher has a lot of rubies cubes and he tried to teach me but we didn’t have enough time and it was very confusing.
Rubik’s cubes.
Yea
Smooth solve. I'm still sub 13 looking to improve.
Yo Timmy when will you do the q and a vid

Even after 2 years of cubing i still pause between steps 😂

sorrry for disrupting your sleep at night i have jet lag but can you teach me how to solve 2x2
I solve it like a speed cuber. I still need to memorize the OLL and PLL. but that is how I solve it. slowly. with a guide.
I've been cubing for about 4 months now. I'm sub 35 (pb 14.97)
❤❤❤ how you solve so fast
00:06 went from american accent to asian in 1 second
Good to know
I'm starting to think Quitting cubing was a bad idea 💀
I only know how to do the beginner’s method, still my pb was like 35 seconds
What method do you use for 2x2
I know how to solve a cube but I cannot solve it like you
How do you memorise all f2l , oll, pll cases
you don't memorise f2l cases, and for oll and pll, you just keep doing the algorithm over and over until you memorise it
I make math calculation on solving a Rubik's cube 😂1+1 6+5😂😂
That’s was basically sonic if he paused time a bit
when i first solved it i couldn't do oll so i just twisted the corners
Ah yes, the perfect vid to check out tips for f2l

You must have grate vision to do that
