The reason Toothless waits so long to reveal hiccup is alive is because he was mad at Hiccup's dad. If you pay attention to the part where Astrid first rides Toothless and he flies all crazy, it's because he's angry but she gets scared and says she's sorry and Toothless reacts to her saying that and then makes the ride absolutely beautiful. In the scene with Stoick. He hears Stoick say he was sorry to Hiccup for the way he treated him and that causes Toothless to reveal that he saved him.
This movie is the definition of the word "masterpiece". Everything about it works perfectly. The conflict between Hiccup and Stoick is handled very well, the bonding between Hiccup and Toothless is perfectly paced, I love how much Toothless acts like a cat, and how all the dragons act like real animals, and the musical score and flying scenes are absolutely beautiful. I cannot give this movie enough praise.
One down, 2 more to go. You had me rolling with "gummy". Glad you enjoyed it. Oh there is Also "Gift of the Night Fury" which is SO appropriate for Christmas. If you can squeeze into your WATCH schedule between now and Xmas, its so worth it.
I'm so excited for the others! Gummy is more than likely what I'll be calling him for now on 🤣 No shot I get a chance this year haha BUT maybe I can plan for next? :)
@@EversBlockbusters Personally I would prefer to watch/post it between the first and second movie because it takes place not much after the first movie. So it would be in chronological order. And without wanting to spoil something the third refers to it at one point (but nothing overly important, just a little easter egg for those who watched it). On the other hand it would be a nice revisit to this amazing trilogy if you let some time pass before watching/posting it after finishing the trilogy.
41:00 it's a small detail, but Toothless knows what "sorry" means. He waited for Stoic to apologize before he showed him Hiccup ^^ Edit: Also, an even smaller, but implied detail, is that Hiccup lost his leg because Toothless had to grab him that way. Just like how Toothless lost his wing because of Hiccup, so Hiccup lost his leg because of Toothless.
I honestly found it hilarious you talking about how sure you were Stoic or Gobber would be the ones to get gravely injured and then Dreamworks hit everyone with the principal character losing his freaking leg
It's not really expalined here, but Stoicks hate mostly comes from his wife being killed by Dragons shortly after Hiccup was born. That hate blinds himto almost everything else until he realizes that hate is about to loose him the only thing he actually cares about
My Husband and I went down the Isle to the "Test Drive" Track and our first dance was to "Romantic Flight" The Music in this Movie is absolutely incredible and I highly recommend SIdeways Video on why the opening Overture is an amazing 'Spoilerversion' of the movies plot
@@EversBlockbusters It was❤ My one Cousin dressed up as a Viking and presented our rings, and my other male cousin was our second flowerperson, and asked very sweetly if he could wear a dress. Of course he could and he friggin _rocked_ it! The Choirs my Mom and I lead sang, my Mom, brother and dad played me songs from my youthful days XDD... It was magical, it was crazy, it was _amazing_
I really appreciate your investment in the movie, that's what I'm here for in a reaction. Enjoyed it a lot. A personal recommendation, the "Shawshank" for young adults, another Disney movie: Holes (2003). So much more to it that you'd think from the opening scenes.
There's something about animated stuff for me that just hits deeper. Maybe it's because I grew up watching a lot of the Disney classics? Idk haha but it's hard not to invest. Thanks for enjoying! I've seen Holes already, shawshank I'll look into though!
Nope, you're right! This is a repost. I did a poll asking which previous movie I should bring over from the series channel. I'll be slowly moving them all over here :)
hey ever i have a question will you watch the httyd show race to the edge too? its set in between the first and second movie and i think you will enjoy it it does start off slowly tho but it gets progresivly better as the seasons go
If I do, that'd likely go on @eversprimetime, but honestly I'm so swamped I probably won't get a chance to :/ not ruling it out, but I can't say for sure!
@@EversBlockbusters Its fine The show is not too important to the plot barely anything that happens in it shows in the 2nd movie but there are things that do and they just slightly give more sense to the events of httyd 2 If you get the chance trust me it stats off low quality but gets better over time
...if you've not seen the Harry Potter series, could I please leave a recommendation for them? Also, Megamind is phenomenal, if you're not looking for a lengthy series 😂

I'm a cat person...this may be why I love toothless as much as I do 🤣 but yeah this movie is truly wonderful. I'm excited to see the others!
Hiccup was told to stay put. Because he left and lured a stray dragon they lost the group they just captured.
Damn i watched the movie 3 times and didnt notice that i wondered why everyone was so mad Xd
Aaaah. That makes sense 🤣

Yeahhhh, that was wildly unexpected 🤣
This movie is amazing
There is a song in it
Called flight test, it’s just so cool! 21:39
It’s in my Spotify playlist as well
I have the song on beat saber, it makes me feel like a god playing it 🤣
Welp I know what song I'll be playing on beat saber today...

I'm looking forward to seeing you get to the sequels! Thanks for your reaction!
Toothless's animation was actually taking inspo from a cat's movement, and atleast in my opinion it shows
I think I've heard that before - may have been posted on the other channel when I originally aired this haha but yeah, in hindsight it totally shows!
I have a Toothless plushie. I love him so much ❤
Actually kinda jealous. I honestly want to start collecting plushies and Pop! Figures from all the stuff I watch!
I keep popping up, but another recommendation is the rise of the gaurdians. That one is one of my faves

Oh my god, I love that so much. Test Drive is such a powerful piece. Your wedding must've been beautiful 😭

@@saiyasha848 that sounds like such an amazing experience!
This trilogy is my favorite animated movies. Hope you love them as much as I do.
No doubt I will, but we'll see soon!
Your right at the beginning hiccup didn’t do anything wrong but when someone is seen as other they are automatically blamed and hated
you should react to Spirit stallion of the cimarron.
I'll keep it in mind!

I have another recommendation for ya. It's a series it's called Troll Hunters. idk if you've seen it, but ya
I'll look into it!
Also, I think u did see this, but on ur other channel👀 I might just be crazy

Yeah the HTTYD ost is next level.
I put one of the songs on best saber, absolutely incredible 😂

I will be yes!
