Hi there, what is your recommendation for glas doors? My x40 constantly bumps into it and closes the door this way and can't get back to the docking station.
hmmm I am not sure about glass to be honest as that is not something we have experience with due to not having any glass doors... if you find a better one please let us know!
first day using it and i should say the app is awful. all defined zones change in sie after saving them. it took me 15 minutes to find the option for more floor options. and i think they didnt test the app enough on the Android devices
I am sorry you are not having a great app experience! It can be overwhelming to get something this advance setup. I hope you figure out all your issues because you have one of the best robot vacs available!!
@@VacuumChef scheduling and making shortcuts are almost completely useless if your house or Apartment has more than one floor. even in the manual mode robot manages to finish only 2 rooms and then should be brought back to the Dock. when you bring it back to the target floor it starts from the beginning. means the first 2 room that did finish. so you need to almost manually tell the robot to clean 2 rooms and then another 2 rooms. the quality of Vacuum itself is not bad. but for a device in this price range you expect much better designed App architecture. especially on the multi floor solutions
@@VacuumChefIn a "mapping tutorial" I would have hoped to find answer to the following question: * How does multi-floor mapping work? * How do you use threasholds, what is their purpose? * How does multi-room mapping work, when you have barriers, so that the bot cannot get to that room? Do you need multi-flloor in that case? * If you want to mop another floor (or blocked room), how do you actually do that? Hint: you can't just place the robot where you want and hit start.
@@eburgwedel * How does multi-floor mapping work? 1. move the robot vacuum cleaner to the 2-3... floor (to another apartment, to the country house... to where it is necessary to clean, but the robot vacuum cleaner physically cannot get there on its own) together with the charging station (or self-cleaning station). 2. install the robot on the station in your location. 3. enter the dream home application. 4. connect to your robot vacuum cleaner. 5. press the "edit map" icon. 6. select "Multi-flor map management" (translated from the Russian application, I do not know how it is displayed on the global version, this item is at the very bottom of the list). 7. read the rules for connecting multi-level maps, press "ok". 8. move the "multi-level maps" switch to the "on" position. 9. press the "create map" switch. 10. select "cleaning / vacuuming". 11. after finishing cleaning, save the map (you can add 3 more maps to the main one, this is true for firmware version 4.3.9_1112). 12. the map will be added to the list of maps, just switch to it when you need to clean the selected location (the robot vacuum cleaner must have access to the charging/self-cleaning station) * How do you use threasholds, what is their purpose? you simply set a threshold. Thank you ❤
You are welcome!
how do I do the mapping if there are two floors?
You create a new map for each floor!

It appears you are replying to all comments, may I take part in this act?
Absolutely! We just don't have a good system in place to respond to replies so always reach out in a new comment... cheers!

cheers!
Hi, can we share the map with others in the house ?
You can share the robot access so yes the map would be shared!
How to merge 2 maps together?
No map merging that I am aware of! You just need to delete the old maps and make a new map!!
It won't let me do a mapping, it says ‘what you want is not possible’.
hmmm never heard of that error before! Tell us more about what is going on!
How do I map my 2nd floor?
Take it up to your second floor and start a new map!
