    You could potentially get a speeding ticket from you logbook. Watch the video to learn how.
    CDL drivers enter the total mileage for the day and the number of hours that they drove; therefore, officials can determine a daily average speed. This average speed will vary depending on terrain and how heavy the vehicle.
    In the United States and Canada, if the truck is loaded and you are driving through mountainous terrain, you are only going to attain a daily average speed of approximately 80kph (50mph).
    If you are not heavily loaded and driving on the flat, you can have a little bit higher speed. Also, if you are pulled into the scale, they can determine your average speed on a leg of the trip. In other words, if you picked up a load in Detroit, Michigan and get pulled into the scale at the state line, authorities can determine your average speed for that distance.

    This is one of the reasons to just use speed limited, watch uour speed and use e log
