Mike V and Andy Anderson both made me feel more comfortable about wearing a helmet and I'm thankful for it every time I slam my head.
Sameeee. I love my helmet. Id rather look like a nerd than get dementia when im old.
I think the helmet stigma is going away. Fuck the haters, if you skate, keep on skating!!!
Do whatever makes you feel comfortable bro! Besides that a bad fall can fuck your shit so better safe than sorry lol
@@heyyou7536 glad to hear that you're sticking w/ it. I've been going snail pace but I also wasn't good at skating as a kid either. I'm just figuring out ollies and am very happy w/ that progress. It helps that there's more cool helmets out there. What kind did you go for? I went w/ a Pro-Tec w/ a Skeleton Key graphic on it.
I think it’s dope that you wear a helmet. I just bought two triple 8’s for my kids that want to start skating. One weird thing though, I used to wear them at some indoor parks that required them when I was a teenager but I feel like I hit my head more whenever I wore it. If you got it, might as well use it! 😂
the fact that he pulled up for muska like that. infinite respect.
Can we just all thank the Nine Club for constantly bringing us amazing guests and content? I’ve never seen a bad episode.
I had the opportunity to meet Mike Vallely in Caracas, Venezuela. When he was signing autographs I told him that I took a 16h bus from my local city to meet him and it totally worth it! He stood up and gave me a hug and took a picture grabbing me as a bro. That made my day and my skate life!!! Also, he give "greeting fists" to kids while skating and listened them. He's a great guy!
you goed to caracas from san cristobal right? Useche and 16 hours got me a glue, im useche too and from SC by the way, i was 8 hour trip to ccs but i get the info that he was in ccs later, i felt really bad because he is my favorite skater
@@geezuschrist2734 Yes, I'm from San Cristóbal too! I have some videos of him in my channel.
This guy taught me how to Ollie when I was 7 through those skate school videos. Legend
I used to watch those religiously
Me too bro was Transworld interview in the 80's 🤘🤘🤘
Damn I remember those.
We need a Jason Lee nine club!
please
Yes
I saw Jason Lee and Mike Vallely do a demo behind Sevananda grocery store in Little Five Points in Atlanta Georgia for Thomas Taylor’s Stratosphere Skate Shop in the late 1980s early 1990s just before Mike Vallely turned around and backhanded his girlfriend in the mouth. What a punk.
Yes weeeeeeee doooo
@@paulrevere2928 Oh fuck ! You for real?
I live in Des Moines and I’m 49 years old, I used to skate until I was 19 and I’m seriously thinking about skating again just because Mike moved here .
Do it. I stopped in 89 and just started back last year at 46 skating bowls and ramps.
Skate with him!
If I get the chance I would love to skate with him
Dude I am 41 and still skate a few times a week, get back to it man. It's so fun, you won't regret it
Do it! Shout out to the fellow Iowan’s! I’m about 2.5 straight east from Des Moines!
I rewatched the over 5 hour episode. Lol in one evening. It's crazy because now we get two and a half more hours with Mike V.
agreed
This is part 1 of 9 2 hour Chats though right? 🤘😆
Listening to Mike talk about skateboarding, makes me want to go out and skate
Going out and skateboarding makes me want to listen to Mike.
Go and skate, no hate.
You know it.
was JUST thinking how I wish Mike V would come back on NC. so hyped
Years a go I got his Revolution Mother Element deck signed by him at a Fayetteville Demo.
I wasn't even skating back then just respecting the music and the legend from my youth.
Bro I was thinking the same thing lmao so hype when I saw this vid😂🔥🤙🏽💯
Be lit love to see him in Raleigh random
Ayyy llusion good to see you here haha its chem
I’ll never forget seeing my friend almost drop to his knees after getting a high five from mike at a demo! Greatest guy on or off the board.
Roger pulls “why would I wanna run through a graveyard” quote... love it, I’ve been saying that to myself for years.
Andy Anderson and Mike v together is what the people need
I just listened the second time on the back porch skating around. I want to say I love you guys. The Nine Club rules. I haven't said much lately. I supported you guys before. I have to say you can expect me to donate regularly once again. Winters in PA are depressing. You kind of forget about what matters in winter. You guys matter. Mike V matters. Everyone who skates matters. Much love. 🙌🤙
Much love! shout out from Brazil!im from south of Brazil, here the winter sucks as well specially in august!it rains nonstop!!
🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙 from LA!
Love you big dawg!
I loved that story behind the Powell Peralta elephant graphic. in my opinion thats the best board graphic ever. That image has been with me since 88 in whatever format. Its on my arm, on my wall and a set up by the front door ready to go. That's a seriously powerful image.
Me too!!! I just scored a reissue from Mike himself and signed :) so stoked!
I ordered a Street Plant board immediately after his first Nine Club episode. Dude is so inspiring.
Fucking ending was heavy, skateboarding is life whether you grind rails, slap curbs, just push keep it going, much respect 9 club the world needs skateboarding
This is another special, special interview. I can't get enough Mike V. If the conversation is not 5 hours plus, it seems like not long enough. You guys have us all spoiled now.
Mike is one of most genuine and inspiring people in skateboarding, I remember coming home from school and watching the sports school trick tip segments he did with time warner cable. Helped me learn so much and kept me stoked to keep learning and skate anything even a little drain or crack in the ground. Never looked at skateboarding the same since and I love it.
so stoked on this. favorite stop & chat by far.
I met Mike V once in the middle of a crowd walking to get a beer at a LA Kings hockey game at Staples Center in the late 90s! He was so friendly and genuinely stoked to say hi! I will never forget it! Dude is a legend!
Da Noin Club to Des Moines Club, The Nine Club has got it all.
The first Vallely episode is def my fav nine club episode
It's awesome to see a new video featuring Mike V in 2021. One of the reasons why I skateboard.
I’m a retired moto guy and i have a lot of friends that moved to Des Moines for the trail riding !
Mike's just tryna cash inn on the new park heath has a shop there leave Des Moines alone Mike pay Lance mountain back already
@@ianhauschild8938 🍼 you need a blanket and your bubba. Here little boy. 🤣
@@Z17xMachine haterrrs gonna hate skaters gonna skate lol
@@ianhauschild8938 kook😂
@@austindanquer92 whatever if y'all respect a man for stealing from a friend that's just shows y'all character
Mike V’s NineClubs are Gold.... thanks for sharing!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Mike's decision to use a helmet made me think about it. I'm in my forties with kids and it suddenly dawned on me why the f**k have I never worn one? I wear one on my MTB and I'm much more likely to whack my melon skating? Saved me from at least 1 concussion so far so thanks Mike!
I started skating around 2005, back then, no clue what Mike V. is all about. His skating really intrigued me from the start. Before a Kickflip I learned boneless, street grabs and some crob plants. Still to this day my favourite skater. Much love.
Mike V. Legend! Thanks again The Nine Club.
Great follow up, love Mike V and you guys!! Great job, much love!!
Really enjoyed his first interview. Glad he’s back. Thanks Mike V.
Mike V. is one of the best skaters to watch I love his style and personality. I have watched Label Kills at least 1 million times.
I still got my old VHS copy. Wish I had a working vcr though.
I love how mike v. has been all over the country but the east coast love comes out so much in his interviews.
Val-la-lee, Vah-Lay-Lee, however you decide to pronounce it. You know this gentleman is a legend.
It’s the second. Him and his wife told me.
I always complain about movies being too long, but I devoured this episode like it's nothing. Mike V is a treasure.
Mike's always a great guest. Thanks guys
i called him mike valley for years
Same here. Funny thing is his Powell board was popular in my town as a kid, saw him in themagazines and videos and still I couldn't get it right til he was on then off World.
Sick! Been waiting for this one!
Amaziing as always.
Great show. You guys have the best attitude in the whole world. Love it!
Really enjoyed this thanks guys 🤘
another great show, could listen to mike talk all day.
The man the myth the legend!!
What a great episode. I laugh so hard sometimes at the same moments you all start laughing that I feel like I’m in there chilling too. Mike V rekindles the Essenes of skateboarding
Always entertaining spending time listening to skaters from the OG days such an insight to what is their perspective on what was, what is and what will be. My only time seeing Mike V was when the bones brigade toured uk and he was at ROM skatepark along with Sean Goff and some other uk pros, It was the first time i had seen a No Comply and when Mike V smashed a 4ft out of the 6ft banks the world just got redefined in that moment, Massive thanks to The Nine club and Can't wait until Mike is back in the studio.
Can’t wait for the September episode! Hope that one is way longer.
Had to go back and watch again cause I was up late listening and fell asleep gotta go from the beginning more views for the mike Vallely episode
Killer, I could watch so much more!
Mike Vallely bringing out the best from the nine club 👏🙌👌
Really enjoyed that as always. Is it too soon to have Mike back on again? Could listen to him all day long. I've listened to his interview three times already. The passion really comes across, which is just so rad. Makes me stoked about getting out and skating later.
Just watched his 5hr interview. This is awesome.
Repping Dubuque, Iowa. Glad the legend came to the midwest, grew up idolizing this guy
I got to see Mike with Black Flag back in Jan 2020....my all-time favorite skater....all-time favorite punk band!!!!
Super nice guy got to meet him in Des Moines! I also saw Kelly but he had a mask on should have asked him for a autograph!!! Thanks great show
My son has love and respect for you Mike so I had to check you out!
I had no idea about the Cariuma one shoe deal, that’s such a good idea! Love the words of wisdom and warmth from Mike as usual!
optimum energy with everything he does, and strong values. Mike Vallely RULES
Mike V, what a fucking legend. Dude just has the best stories and the way he can captivate you with his words is unreal. Always a treat to be able to have him on.
Was really hoping for five hours again
@derp derpin or if daewon ever did one
Hey Mike, I remember watching you rip the street course at Slam City Jam. You and Chris Senn had the most distinct styles and were the hardest charging skaters there in my recollection. That was a great time in skateboarding. I'll be picking up a pair of those shoes come September. Thanks for your contribution!
Can't wait for September loved it guy's...
Met Mike V in Indianapolis when Black Flag played. Super nice dude, bought a Street Plant board, he signed it and chatted for a bit.. Dope dude!! Love to see him back on here!!
"I think your bread is done" had me laughing hard
Awesome episode!
Mike V skated Ft Dodge Iowa skatepark waaaaay back in his FuelTV show he had where he toured the states to skate parks around the country. So sick!
One of my favorite skaters of all Time. Great dude.
Always always always have love for mike v man such a good dude.
The 5 hours one was one of the most inspiring episode, glad he ´s back
I too could easily listen to 2 1/2 more hours of this. Great stories.
Kelly it was an amazing time in skateboarding to learn/invent new things weekly (started in ‘89). Maybe 2 videos were released per year so the possibilities were endless.
Thanks Chris, Roger, Jeron.
Stacy Peralta would be huge on the show btw.
There really is a good connection here, between you all and Mike.
Saw him skateboarding at a warped tour once and finally got to meet him a couple years back. He was just walking around after they had done sound check and he was super cool and chill. Took some pictures with my daughter and I and chatted for a bit. He killed it later on stage with Black Flag
I loved to hear that his local for awhile was one of the parks I go to all the time in VA beach dudes awesome !!
just thrilled about Mike being in the home state. Also with a park that size in Des Moines who would have guessed Iowa. He really embodies a lot of skateboarders that grew up throughout the state. We never had great parks until recently, so we skated whatever. We had so much faith in the ones we knew had potential. I think it was the community, still like any other, all we wanted to do was skate.
also just say dead without the D and then say moyne. or the way those seagulls from finding nemo say "mine"
Love the VG/HC gear! Bought some of his line from them! Good shit!
Damn fine episode fellas, damn fine.
First time I saw Mike V, I saw a video of him flying around a cement park. I still never seen anyone killing those transitions like that with so much air connected. Scary guy... in a good way. And now we see that he is a really nice and intellectual guy too.
Great stuff. Mike V is awesome. These stories are awesome. Muska said the F word and that’s what started the security guard. Wow. That was back in the day. Sucked. But was a whole lot of fun. .. Thanks Mike for a ton of my inspiration as a kid. I would learn a trick. But then had to learn it Mike V style. All out as fast as you can, as big as you could, and stylish.
First board I ever owned was a Mike Vallely element! 17 years ago! I remember it like it was yesterday! Baby blue with a beat up smiley face, it said “have a !@%$# day”. Everyday I spent on that board I .... had the best days... of my life!
I had the opportunity to see Mike win best trick at Tampa Pro 2012!!! I’ll never forget!!! He broke his board and like three other pros boards trying it and then made it!!!
Very special special special guest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I prolly watched Mike V's part in Public Domain about a Gorillion times, and his elephant deck is on my list of boards I want to finally own.
I wonder why I feel so much like this dude I'm 28, he does what I do get asked one question give people one hour of talking and forget there life
Watching this at 4 am getting ready to go to that giant skatepark they were talking about
"i cant relate to nyjah huston, i cant relate to alot of people" ay man, i feel ya crob!
nyjah is like an unicorn u know its not the reality of the majority of skaters u feel me?
@@DeadHandX It's really only HIS reality.
@infoslinger his shorts will rip soon
Nyjah can do so much next level shit but has the personality of burnt toast and the style of a video game. His board company will be clown shoes
@@theramplocal Burnt toast has way more personality. I've seen way more of his legs than I ever wanted to. 🩲
Don Vito and Mike chilling to Springsteen
You don't even know Bruce Springsteen. He's not one of your skateboard vluds.
877 Cash Now!!!
Slam city jam needs to come back to Vancouver!!!
Bring that shit back as SLS type contest like winner gets on the sls contest kinda like Tampa pro stylr
Crob fighting for his butt crack graphic😆
Loved this episode! Mike V is the best!
Btw Duffamn kicklipped the Baldy gap in Cataclysmic Abyss if anyone's wondering :))
Hell yeah dude, such a great part
Legend Mike Vallely🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yeah boi new epz
Good damn that's was amazing
No One talks about Skateboarding like Mike V.
I didn't watch the early access because I didn't want to get caught up in the live comments. When Mike talks I just want to listen.
So glad they gave him a mic!! 😂
LEGEND!!! 🔥🔥🐐
September is my b day so I'm glad I'll be getting that gift!
The best dude ! 🖤
I learned about skateboarding from my dad so my family swears by the bones brigade. Mike V and Ray Barbee were my first introduction to street skating.
I listen to Mike's episode like asmr 😌.
Gonna have to take a quick trip from my hometown in Iowa to check out that park! Iowans are the best! Don’t forget to farmer wave mike V!
