    Thank you for posting this. I'll be cruising out of the new terminal in September and videos like yours are a big help.

    Now that’s the Royal treatment. Carnival needs to step up their game.

      Right?! Carnival does need some stepping up, especially if they wanna call themselves the FUN ship, make some diaper friendly splash pads for the little ones too 😁

    When did you make reservations for the shows (water, ice and production shows)?

    • @ahoymommy
      @ahoymommy  Год назад

      We sailed the week after Thanksgiving. At that time we were able to reserve on the ship, we didn’t have the online option. However, the following week in December, Royal Caribbean announced that you can now reserve your shows at early online check in. Yay!
      Reserving shows can be done 30 days before your sail date. Early online checkin is 45 days before sail date. I always put a reminder on my calendar so I can get a good boarding time for early online check in.
      The water shows and ice shows, on the first day, it was busy and packed. We made reservations for those and didn’t make reservations for the 2nd day when we went to watch it again. We were able to find seats by walking in on the 2nd day. However, the comedy and musical shows like Mama Mia, please please please make a reservation. The wait line did not guarantee you getting a spot and the comedy show is super small compared to how big the boat is and how many people it holds. I think the seating is possibly 120-190 people.

      @Ahoy Mommy! 5th Royal cruise, 2nd time on Allure. What is your biggest tip for checking in with Kids at this new terminal?

    • @ahoymommy
      @ahoymommy  Год назад

      @@Bruhstorfer This terminal was so easy for us. The biggest tip we did, was not sit down and feed my kiddos breakfast 😆 I let them graze on some packaged snacks, from the 30 minute car ride to the shuttle parking. Then I let my baby grazed on snacks, while she was in her stroller, while we went through security and check in.
      My toddler ate in the car, and he sat on our luggage carryon, when we went through the terminal. As soon as we got on the ship, everyone was hungry and we had our 🍕 by 11 am. However, Sorrento's opens at 11:30 am, not 11 am. They let us have pizza early that day 😍
      Basically, my husband took care of the luggage and boarding passes/passports and I was in charge of having my eyes on my 2 kiddos. That way, no kiddo got lost and my husband was focused on his task of leading us to the ship, while I followed him.

    Where did you park car? I’m thinking of the indoor parking at the RCL Terminal ?

    • @ahoymommy

      We parked here and paid for a shuttle and it is covered parking. It was $104 for the Allure of the Seas in November 2022. We also parked here earlier in August 2022 for the Carnival Vista for $84 falstaffcruiseparking.com/

    I saw on a few cruises that they were giving free cowboy hats at the terminal. Did they do that with you? Probably just a one day promotional thing. thought I would ask.

    Hi, we are flying into Texas. We have littke kiddos and need a bus shuttle to avoid flying with car seats. Would you recommend Galveston Express?

    • @barrettosontheloose
      @barrettosontheloose 10 месяцев назад +1

      We used Galveston Express to get to port (and return to airport). We paid for 2 adults round-trip and opted for them to pick us up from our hotel for an additional $50. (We could’ve taken our hotel’s free shuttle back to the airport and then caught the GE shuttle there, but that just seemed like more work with transferring luggage around and dealing with a toddler so it was worth the extra charge!) Plus our daughter was a free lap infant. We paid $170 R/T (including hotel pickup) with Galveston Express. They picked us up right on time and got us to port/airport safely. We recommend them!
