Hi neighbor! We're in Friendswood, which is (as you know) about 15 minutes up 45, just across the highway from NASA. I am so glad Royal built this terminal. Our first sail on Allure (we went on Adventure last year for our first ever) is May 30 and we're so excited.
Me and my wife was there for that same cruise on the Allure. The new terminal was awesome. And the whole process of getting through was fast and smooth. One of the best parts of going on this cruise is I got to send my 3 daughters the Glen Campbell song “Galveston”. Been wanting to do that for years. 😂😂👍👍

We also were able to be one of the first to go through the terminal and sail on Allure! We left last Wednesday and came back Sunday, 13th. The terminal is awesome and I love the facial recognition cameras!

Just returned from Allure in Galveston. It was wild getting on and off. The worst part is taxis and Ubers do not want to take you from your hotel to the ship. They only want to do ship to airport. They just ignore or don’t show up to help you we had to hitch a ride to the ship. Maybe when there’s more competition it will improve but I could have been watching my ship sail away.

Hi Clarence! Unfortunately we have only done this transfer service once and it was will the cruise line so we don't have a suggestion that we can recommend from experience. Hey is it possible to drop off luggage before actually parking your car in the parking area? If so, how is that done - where exactly would your car be when dropping off luggage?
We are boarding 3 weeks from tomorrow on Allure...the baggage drop off area confused me. Are we supposed to take our bags there BEFORE we go in the terminal? Or do we take them in the terminal then give them up somewhere along the line? I saw a lot of people in the terminal pushing bags around.
Hi! You have options in how you want to approach it. If you do not want to carry your luggage onto the ship with you you can leave the bags with the porters and it will be delivered to your room later in the day. You can drop the luggage at the front so you don't have to carry your luggage through the parking lot or you can park and then take your bags to the porter. If you want to carry your bags onboard yourself you can, just remember rooms may or may not be available yet when you board. Also if you are leaving your bags with the porter I recommend not putting IDs, prescriptions, or other things you cannot get by without just incase the luggage gets lost (this rarely happens but just in case). Thanks for the tour. You have no idea how happy this makes me!! We are moving from California to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area next year. I would still dive to Galveston the day before your cruise starts. Traffic around Houston can be horrific no matter which highways you use. Galveston has great things to see and do. Lots of great food to eat as well. Some moderate priced hotels/motels allow you to park in their lots for free. Shuttles take you to the port for a fee. Port of Galveston gives you a small discount if you make a reservation ahead of time on-line for their parking lots. Other commercial parking is in the area. If you are in Galveston on a day when no cruise ships are in port you used to be able to drive around the terminals and see the layout for yourself.

Hi Margaret! As a DFW resident for almost 50 years, let me be the first to welcome you for your arrival next year. I predict that, like the other Californians I have met who moved here, you will love it. And the ability to make the drive to a cruise ship is one big reason. Pro tip: don't miss the Buc-ee's halfway to Galveston. Huuuuuuuuge, clean bathrooms and amazing sandwiches and snacks, which you might want to bring with you onto the ship since many ships have nothing crunchy.

The first time I stepped off the plane at Love Field to visit him I knew I was going to love it as much as he does. You all are so friendly and genuinely helpful. We just love the vibe there. Thanks for the tour. You have no idea how happy this makes me!! We are moving from California to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area next year. I've already mapped it out and it's only about a 5 - 6 hour drive to Galveston terminal. I'm so looking forward to having Royal ships within driving distance of me in the not too distant future.

I would still dive to Galveston the day before your cruise starts. Traffic around Houston can be horrific no matter which highways you use.
Galveston has great things to see and do. Lots of great food to eat as well. Some moderate priced hotels/motels allow you to park in their lots for free. Shuttles take you to the port for a fee.
Port of Galveston gives you a small discount if you make a reservation ahead of time on-line for their parking lots. Other commercial parking is in the area.
If you are in Galveston on a day when no cruise ships are in port you used to be able to drive around the terminals and see the layout for yourself.

Hi Margaret! As a DFW resident for almost 50 years, let me be the first to welcome you for your arrival next year. I predict that, like the other Californians I have met who moved here, you will love it. And the ability to make the drive to a cruise ship is one big reason. Pro tip: don't miss the Buc-ee's halfway to Galveston. Huuuuuuuuge, clean bathrooms and amazing sandwiches and snacks, which you might want to bring with you onto the ship since many ships have nothing crunchy.
@@SueBohlinDallas My husband is living there in temporary accommodations while he gets his business up and running and while we scout out our permanent home. The first time I stepped off the plane at Love Field to visit him I knew I was going to love it as much as he does. You all are so friendly and genuinely helpful. We just love the vibe there. Anyway, I've been to the Buccee's in Fort Worth and all I can say is "wow" and I will definitely be checking out the one you mentioned.
