@@JonnyDibble this wasn’t that! It was silly and a little cheesy, but it was well thought out and executed in a way that makes you, you! Embrace it! It was fun. Cheers
I own a ampeg svt vr I love it but it’s 85lbs. These days it stays home at all times and will only get use in the studio. I run a sans amp or the quad cortex for everything. What an amazing time to be a musician. I love ampegs a lot and tend to use it with a sans amp ( even tho it’s a svt in a box) for more clarity and drive without the neighbors calling the cops. 😂
Sick intro, thanks for the review, I’m saving for a new bass amp and I can’t decide if I buy a Mesa or an ampeg, I used to have the PF-500 and it was great, but the same problem with the DI output sound, in cab sounded killer but the DI sounded with no life, after this I thing I will go for the Ampeg over the Mesa
A missed opportunity that Cab-Sim was left out of the DI. Two outputs to FOH would have been ideal, plus the amp on stage to move air in addition to IEM.
If you’re purposely going for the “floor Tom sounds like another kick” sound it’s great. I love a floor Tom that rumbles as much as the sound guy will allow.
Great review! Is that a crafted in Japan 70s reissue P bass, I have one just like it awesome bass!! I just saw the part where you verified it, mine is 2002 !
Slightly disappointed that the ending didn't have you acting like Gollum and creepily saying "My precious..." lol Thank you for the Venture demo though! I really want a V3 now.
I just don’t like Neo cabs. I would rather just pay a little bit of extra money and have a little bit more weight than deal with Neo speakers. They just don’t sound very good.
The intro was worth every second of film and editing. Absolutely PERFECT!!! Cheers!
So bad it’s good is my vibe

I can't even begin to describe how happy that intro made me. Almost in tears.
😂 amazing
I think Johny sniffed too much fretboard cleaner with that intro
@@BassUnderCover mmmmm lemon oil
Ampeg is doing well under the wings of Yamaha Musical instruments division. Nice stuff Jonny.
That intro was amazing!
@@dsapala thanks 😂
Jonny! Fantastic review and thank you for the brilliant intro!!!! That alone is worth the price of admission!
Jonny’s got the “I listen to Title Fight” hat on, you know this is gonna be a good one
Finally someone testing it with a P Bass. Sounds Killer. I will get the 300 Watt.
Best intro of 2024!!! 🤩🥳😍🤣
So..... that intro was a thing haha😂
@@klaymeister that’s exactly how to describe it tbh

With his budget spent on the epic intro, all future videos will actually be audio only. 😉👍🏻
I’ve peaked tbh
Exceptional intro. The Bilbo scary face really got me 😂
I exported it, then thought of that so re-exported the whole video 😂
With a CAB sim on the DI, this would've been my favourite head ever
@@LSapio there is a cab sim on the DI?!
What an intro !!
Cool you got Leland Sklar to be in that intro.
Far Out! Middle Earth Gets down on the Low End. Sounds great and love the bass
Please, more intros like this!!

you pulled out all the stops for this one lol im impressd
Would you think the 700 would be a great home amp or would you stay with the 300 ?
I’m curious to know what this amp sounds like pushing Mesa Subway cabs??
Can you get your hands on the new Venture VB eighty eight cabinet for testing
Waaaait, it doesn't have the cab sim??
Been on the pipe-weed making that intro like
Shockingly no
The intro 😂😂😂 I just keep rewatching that and not getting to the review
I think this is the funniest intro I have ever seen lol 😂

Love the sounds and features. But they are ugly. Surely ampeg could have designed something with a more 'vintage' aesthetic?
@@domboy666 I don’t mind how they look! Nothing ground breaking tho I suppose
