Sam's playing with Cardinal Black is nothing short of sensational.
You can hear his runs throughout all the tracks, especially live even with Chris rocking his Yamaha .
    What an amazing band

This is the absolute best review and demonstration of this amp to date.
Amazing player, and he's a great communicator.
Nice to see some interaction and questions from another perspective by a guitarist.
First time ive come across this channel but this is a breath of fresh air.
    I'm going try this amp.

Sam is one of my favourite bass players of all time. He makes Cardinal Black brilliant. The whole band is killer but the bass lines are a master class in how to support great musicians like Tom and Chris and make them sound better in a tasteful but interesting way.

Great video. Is there any issue with mixing the v12 with the vb112?

Hi - Really good demonstration - but it annoys me a bit all that funky stuff - it would be better if I could hear some long tones - etc.
...Ps. don't hit your bass but play it 🙂

Thanks! Regarding the funky stuff - for a demo, you have to assume there are people who play a wide variety of genres looking to purchase this amp. Some people are looking for deep and smooth sounds, others looking for hi-fidelity clarity and response. I’ve tried to get a balance of both. I’ll put some longer notes in next time.
PS - I do enjoy hitting the bass every now and then 🫢 🥊

Can the V3 be used as a stand alone practice "amp" by plugging in headphones? I feel like Sam mentioned that but was referencing the V12 or at least gesturing to it. I'd like to be able to turn on the V3, plug headphones in and practice...

Yes it can - the V3 can be used as a practice amp with headphones and an aux in. Sounds great, too!

which is better a svt pro or the venture line. i have a svt 7 pro. with a 4ohm 4x10 neo cab. on detachable casters. with speakon connected.

They’re both great amps, but the SVT 7 Pro is an older design and hasn’t been without fault, namely some reliability issues. If yours is a good one (ie not cutting out) then I’d say they are very comparable. The Venture series is a bit lighter and more modern but the SVT 7 Pro is a great head, too. The 4x10 Neo cabs are great - the new Venture cabs sound similar in my opinion. Wouldn’t bother changing either unless they’re giving you problems.

i forgot how this works. You cant take the 1200 watt head and use the 15 inch speaker cab with it, since its only 250 watts....right?

      There's a volume knob for a reason

@@bobbyblair6862 If its an 8ohm cab itll cut the amp wattage down to 600w. but like the other Champ said just dont turn it up too loud.
