that's bullshit. all these people agreeing so hard in the comment section will still push their children to suicide if they don't bring good marks in their class. (first its 9 and 10th, and then its 11 12th, and then iit - medical , and then even in cllg u cannot fail a paper ) . two-sided.
why everyone is judged based on marks ?? what if the child is good at something else?? Does somebody gives a f*** in our "education system"", in our country???? nah!!

      Romans 6.23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
      John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
      Mark 1.15
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
      2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
      Hebrews 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

      greetings
as an ex ICSE and conventee who is currently a CBSE candidate and someone who has a well round exposure to the IB, IGCSE and GCSE form of learning, it is nowhere mentioned in the current educational resources of the era that the indian education protocols are found to be unscientific. we are made well aware of the oriental scientific advances. even now, religious chanting, recitation of excerpts from the upanishads and practice of education in the pre british style is being practiced in some rural parts of kolkata, WB, namely santiniketan where sanskrit and indian studies along with western sciences are emphasised. it's better to not blame the current era as we are provided ample resource(s) to learn and interpret the indian way of learning. and qho said the modern education system makes servants? it actually creates confident minds. kindly go by the general conducts.

Did you really enjoy nodding to teachers even when you clearly knew you had a valid point but you were not even able to voice the opinion because our education system teaches us not to answer back? If the Indian culture was really integrated into our education system that should mean schools where children inquisitively ask questions to their gurus, the guru has to be a very learned and ethical person and the guru and shishya bond is that of love and respect, a kind of bond that makes the student totally receptive towards the knowledge imparted. It would also mean having open classrooms among nature and learning everything practically and knowledge being passed down verbally so you wouldn't have to bury your head in books all day (and still learn nothing by the way). Don't we nowadays learn more by listening to podcasts or watching documentaries than our education system taught us? So there is something wrong with the authoritarian system isn't it?

AI is a biased system because its information will be put in there by Man. I’m teacher in New York City schools and I see how there is a lot of education bias. The left in our country controls education and teaches American students to look down on their culture. Would tell our students if you truly want to be educated need to take individual responsibility for your education and look at all sides of information and educate yourself the way you see fit. Do not rely on anybody else for your education or your health.

    • @venkateshyerramalla
      @venkateshyerramalla Год назад +56

Sati was never there in our culture - example in Ramayana, Maa Kausalya, Sumithra and Kaikeyi didn't sacrifice even after death of King Dasharatha. Similarly in Mahabharata, Satyavathi devi continued to rein power even after death of Shantanu maharaja with the help of her step son Bheeshma and then you also have example of Kunthi Devi...
Caste system was never there people were recognized by their profession and what they do. For example, Valmiki is a hunter but we call him Adi kavi and consider him as Maharshi Valmiki, Satyavathi devi is a fisherman's daughter. Her son Vyasa maharshi is generally called as Vyasa bhagvan. Maharshi Vishwamitra was a king but transformed into Rishi.
Parda us absolutely no in Indian culture, you don't see it anywhere except Muslims who originally came as invaders somewhere between 1250AD to 1400AD. Childhood marriages gained prominence only after 1500ad when India was continuously invaded and the invaders were brutal cruel towards women. To ensure protection of girls, child marriages started. In Indian culture Maa Saraswathi considered ad mother if knowledge. Nit letting girls was also a Islamic practice forced on Hindus another reason was lack of safety if girls under Islamic rule. Macaulay ensured false and distorted history is thumped on us along with few other westerners such maxmuller etc. Unfortunately we were made to believe about western superiority over our ancient knowledge. Look at ad by colgate which speaks about salt in toothpaste which was a regular practice in India till 1980's... there can be others. So essentially we should handover and truth to next generation and contribute towards spreading vishwamanava soubrathathvam which essence of Sanathana Dharma, which is true Indian culture. Best example for this is Indonesia which balances their current religion which is Islam with their ancient hindu culture...

Macaulay said that but after him so many different educational reforms were made and Macaulay committee also brought advantage in a way that we got to study the world through English literature. So, there is nothing to blame of what he said even though it’s unacceptable that he said the means about Indian. After him, there were also some Britishers who supported the importance of Sanskrit and Hindi and mother tongue language.
Today, we are so fortunate that because of English language and education we are so much ahead.

      1. The current education system focusses on rote memorization. Even Western education has gone from ahead of this. So it's not like you are at the forefront of whichever system you are following.
      2. The old thought that you had to know English to be worth anything has been proven wrong by the Chinese. They still don't speak English and are at the top of most scientific fields..so why lock out millions of Indians who don't speak English out of the best schools.
      3. Why not use available platforms to seek wide ranging change, while you also work on making your own platforms?
      4. Question 4 is irrelevant considering the advances in language translation on all devices. Kids these days are able to learn entire engineering courses from sources online and just to to college for exams. So the language translation bit it is irrelevant.
      5. If you listen to people from the government Sanjeev Sanyal etc you will be aware that the government is already working on changing our education system. There's no place for huge college campuses to accomodate our huge numbers. So digital is the way forward

What she says is so right! I have friends whose children speak only English, but not one word of their mother tongue. When I asked why, they said that for getting admission in the school of their choice, the children needed to be fluent in English. So they never taught mother tongue to their children. I am flabbergasted!
And why is fluent English a requirement for admission to a school? Its the school's responsibility to teach English. Otherwise what are they doing?

I have seen parents teaching a child to say " say hi and shake hands like a gentleman " , he was little boy of 4/5 years and I kept on saying " namaste " to him, but his mother was repeating sentences like " say hi and shake hands like a gentleman man ".
His mother didn't even tell him to answer me by saying " namaste " and I kept on repeating namaste....
