That first video is my favorite. So realistic. Just do the best you can, aesthetic can come later if it’s important to you, but damn, just try to do your best.
Remember 71% of emissions and human driven climate change is due to 100 companies alone, so don’t beat yourself up over not being net positive. 💜💜

People need to also remember not to buy eco friendly products until you need that product again for example you have a perfectly fine plastic toothbrush don’t replace it yet till you need a new one otherwise it would be a waste of plastic, instead replace it with a natural toothbrush once you need a new one

    • @genesisrodriguez3051

Yeah that’s so true! I still want to be eco friendly but I’ll be eco friendly next time I need things. Sometimes I feel like I’m not eco enough so I changed search engines to something eco friendly , like oceanhero and Ecosia.

I just went through all my clothes yesterday and I have about 20 pieces total, obv not counting underwear and such lol. I’m proud of that and not buying clothes excessively allows me to save money and buy higher quality items I really want that’ll last longer. As opposed to fast fashion which will tear or become washed out quickly.
I also have a bucket in my closet where I throw ripped, washed out, discoloured or otherwise not ”socially acceptable” clothing. Those I use if I’m in the garden, painting, washing my dog, dying my hair, picking berries or doing something else that could ruin or stain my clothes. I also use them as PJs or lounge wear, no need to throw out clothes just because they’re noticably worn!
If you have the space I’d recommend saving completely unusable clothes/fabric and post them in no-buy groups, some people rip them up and stuff pillows or even furniture with scrap fabrics. My local hair dresser also uses old bedsheets to protect clients’ clothes from dye and to wipe the salon floors with.

For any watercolor artists out there who has a few bucks to spare, I recommend trying out “Beem Paints Minjeemin Watercolor Palette” it’s a sustainable handmade watercolor brand owned by an Anong Beam. The palette itself is made out of waxed canvas, and the packaging is plastic/waste free! The process is also based on indigenous paint making techniques. Purchasing from this business supports indigenous businesses and culture, as well as promotes sustainable products! If you’re interested, I recommend you check out In Liquid Color’s review of the paints and palette.

😶 I'm a bit concerned for her because mold occurs on plastic surfaces too. I've had a few gross dish brushes that wouldn't drain attest to that.
If bamboo toothbrushes are getting moldy, something isn't right about where and how they're being stored/dried and the same adjustments need to be made with plastic.
