    This actual carving of the breast on this video was very impressive. Thin slices, skin remained on. Presented beautifully. Same with the thigh. Very impressive cutting. I aspire to cut my turkey this way this year.

    Best way to carve a turkey just like he did it. 👍The legs are tough to cut right. How easy he does it. 👍🤗

    I like that presentation. What internal temp did you cook that bird to?

  • @TheCausalParadox

    Great technique. Also a nicely put together instructional video.
    "Chef's Eye" view is always the best for learning (too many cooking channels have crazy camera work and too much emphasis on showing the chef's face).
    Audio levels could use some work but otherwise very good!

    Hello chef: Do you brine your turkey? Does brining change the cooking time?

    • @RogersPowell
      @RogersPowell  10 лет назад

      Good Samaritans' Kitchen HI. Yes I did brine the turkey over night. It keep it tender and juicy. The cooking time should be the same. Thank you for watching!

    The turkey was cooled before carving, and was over cooked. However it was a good video

      I thought so also. Seemed very dry. But the carving technique was very helpful, as was the presentation.

    Great presentation, and cutting the breast across the grain in that fashion should make for a nice texture as well. Bravo!

    Why do all these channels showing how to carve a turkey on a cutting board, it's always completely DRY. Every time I bring the turkey out of oven and transfer it to cutting board, juices are all over the place and a complete mess.
    Please, someone advise on how to improve my technique!
    Thank you 😎

    FOR ME IT'S THAT PERFECTLY ROASTED TURKEY WHICH IMPRESSES ME AS SO MANY END UP WITH TOO DRY A BIRD FOR THAT HIGH INTERNAL TEMP FOR THOSE THIGHS OF 180 INSTEAD OF 160!!
