I never get tired of them. Deserved much more success. I think it's save to say they will remain a favorite for as long as I live. The solo on this song is masterful.
Such a wealth of great material but the only SB&Q song you ever hear on the radio is Arms of Mary. So much more to this Band ,if you are not acquainted with there music hunt it down some great material.
Amen. Pick up "Albums" the 8 disc box set of Sutherland Brothers & Quiver released on Cherry Red Records' Lemon Records imprint in 2019. Has all the singles as bonus tracks. Impeccable songwriting by Iain Sutherland, wonderful guitar by Tim Renwick.
I just love this song, brings back memories, Sutherland Brothers & Quiver, one of my favourite bands. Used to play their songs in my high school band: "Harbour Lights, Secrets, & Arms of Mary.
"Great song that is, we all love this song during our good old days in Panguna mine operations on the Island of Bougainville, Aungee Tampara' S.G.Poteary.
@nazaholicable - Pleased to read I seem to have uploaded both your favourite SB+Q tracks. Unfortunately this album was released just at the wrong time as things were a changing in the charts. They were about 3 years too late to have made it big I reckon. Cheers for your comment and observations. Steve :-)
My favourite track from the album (a 1977 Christmas present). As you say, Quiver were down to just Willie Wilson on drums by this time. The guitar break on this song certainly sounds like Tim Renwick. The insert notes for my vinyl copy of the LP lists lead guitar duties as "Ray Flacke, Mick Grabham, Tim Renwick" in that order.
My favourite SB&Q songs are harbour light and saviour in the rain. Both brothers are great singers. If harbour light had been released as a single who knows if their chart success would have continued. Play the down to earth album regularly. There are many great 70's band no longer on the radar. Anyone remember be-bop deluxe, Naxareth and Strawbs?
@@joaodomingosboff603 aqui no RS é muito comum escutar uma versão dessa musica através da banda de bailão Os atuais com o titulo Eu voltei, ficou muito boa
I just LOVE "Harbour Light" & "Secrets" from SBQ; dude upload them as mp3's on Bee mp3 or 4shared. I wanna learn them so my band can play them, they would really be appreciated.
Just love this song. I play this repeatedly many times.
Never gets old....love it
Brilliant Band, I think they were very underrated, and deserved much more success. Thanks for posting.
Brilliant comment, thank YOU :-)
I just love this music.. It does not seem to grow old. They were under rated then. ❤🎉
❤❤❤❤🎉
Never getting bored of listening to this song

Tim Renwick at his best.
Brings back sweet memories about young days when we enjoyed these songs with special people ❤🎉
Beautiful song, never get tired of listening to it. I love it.
People love these songs, we play them in our band and after all these years, still get requests. Awesome stuff, for sure.
47 years on this still moves me! My current age? 73. 🙋♀

Please, could the lyrics of this song give us ...? Thank you very much! We are researching, as a group from Brazil re -recorded in 1979.

One of my favorite songs. Should have been a single. Would probably have made top 10

One gem from the 70s that I missed; thanks for allowing me to discover this great song 39 years on. 1:11 - somewhere in my beloved Fife. Crail?
