This message is still pertinent today! She is a powerful evangelist and a prayer warrior! She is also the sister of the Evangelist Louise D. Patterson, who is the widow of the late Bishop Gilbert E. Patterson! I must warn you with her It's Holiness or Hell!
I've been saved for 26 years now, I give God all the glory for keeping me. I was raised on this kind of preaching and teaching. I'm an Evangelist and I preach and teach holiness. As far as your clothes and the way folks dress I believe the work of the Holy spirit is from the inside out. Preach the word it will surly clean us up. I don't mind this kind of preaching. The old saint's would say it's tight but it's right.....

I get what she's saying though. I'm not "in the church" but when I do go this is the type of environment I like. Why go to a church where people won't tell you right from wrong?
I expect church people to be completely different than me (not saying I'm a terrible person but I can't honestly claim to be Christian). That's why I've admired people in the church who follow what they believe closely and don't switch up.

You don’t go to church to be taught right from wrong. You go to church to learn about The Lord and his love and what he leads with, and she leading with judgment, and hate.
Right from wrong is fine but have some class and cooth and stop calling gods children out of their name, especially in the pulpit. What if the topic was fornication and the male pastor called y’all sleezy hoes during the sermon? Cause I’m the SAME Leviticus that speaks of the “Sissies” she is tired of, it speaks of outcasting women who divorce or have sex outside of marriage.

This is what I was raised up in. AND I LOVE IT!! When I left the world, I left it!! There is a difference in living holy and looking holy and righteous for God and living in the world.
Amen!!!!! There is no line anymore between holy living and the world. The church has to get in back in line or its going to be just like 5 of the 7 churches in Revelation. In other words, if the body of Christ don't fall in line the way God says, He will remove the candlestick out of it place in glory.

I have this video. I was saved at 15 in 1993 and someone gave me the video in 1996. I must tell you that this video will never leave me. This video helped keep me saved and will be a part of my life for ever. I Love Missionary Kelly.

Evangelisr Kelly was not preaching to the unsaved, but the saved!! And make no mistake, judgement will begin at the house of God and God is not happy with our carnal lifestyles. Personally, there is a fair amount of modern gospel music I really like and some I don't. This is definitely an area of personal preference. The rest of the message, I say PREACH MOTHER!! HALLELUJAH!!!

I agree with most of what she said, but growing up COGIC I often wondered where was the teaching for not just the women, but the men? I remember enduring many messages like this as a young woman in the church, including one where every woman between 12 and 21 was made to stand throughout the sermon so we would get the message. It could've been presented better, but it made me a more concious woman so no hard feelings. But, here I am 35 years later wondering why they went so hard on the women and but never broke the surface with the young men? I have so many men that I grew up with that don't know a thing about being a man of integrity or how to function in the role as a leader or father. What happened?

I love the COGIC but while they preaching holiness some of the bishops sitting up there during this era were raping young boys and the presiding bishop had fathered several children outside of his marriage. Hypocrisy at it's highest. She's preaching though and she's right . I'm COGIC born and raised and it makes me sad that scandal is still rampant in this church that I love!!!

@ELIPOUL Hi I'm from COGIC and I must say that some of us still preach like this in2011.
SOMEBODY had to say these words because Warning comes before distruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. And a lot of women in the church are falling for not knowing the truth of God.
I love it when they teach on true holiness, because it's either holiness or hell. When you truley have a commitment to the Lord, you will really make a change and yes we may still faulter at times, but thank God for His amazing grace, that will allow us to get back in right standing with Him. Sometimes the word don't feel good, but it surely purifies you and get your spirit and soul right before God almighty.

I understand what mother is preaching about music but see Twinkie Clark had a vision that was sent unto her by Christ himself and he don't make mistakes. Twinkie and her sisters were the ony women in COGIC that sampled music from the world, drowned, kicked, and punched the influence of Satan out of his own creation, blended the Gospel of Christ into secular music and the congregation loved it except for the haters on the board of COGIC who then used the Grammy Awards as an excuse to quarantine-

Other than her thoughts on music, hoping she wasn't taking a shot the Clark sisters you brought the sunshine, she was on point. We need more saints like this in church especially in the times we're in. This is a new generation and we what I call microwave kids so we need a sort of different approach to them, but all around we need this. Back when saints prayed studied the bible told the truth and didn't water it down.
Holiness is what's in you....it's not your hair or your dress. God cleans us from the inside out. Now, if you have holiness in you, it's gonna show on the outside. You will have a desire to be decent. If you have holiness on the INSIDE, you won't have a desire to look like a hoochie momma or a man like a pimp.

To all who is saying that this lady is preaching "legalism", here is a newsflash for you: she isn't.
Throughout this message, I did not hear her once say that in order for one to be saved, one has to do this, do that and do some of this. What she is saying is that if you are indeed saved - truly redeemed - the result of that would be holy living. And what constitutes holy living is the opposite of the kinds of behavior that she described.
I think it's as simple as that.

Mother France's was and is a beautiful woman. I struggle, part of me agrees but I also realize she is preaching people into bondage. The bible says/ Jesus said its not what's outside the cup that defiled it but what's within the cup.

When I got the Holy Ghost the Holy Spirit "TOLD ME" what I could and could not wear so much so that he directed me to a rich lady who poured out a good portion of her warddrobe to me which was quality clothing, long-length skirts. Clothes with the tags still on them and what I noticed is that every particle of clothing covered the womans body.
Am I missing something here? Is she secretly going in on the Clark sisters? And Dr. Clark is in the background shouting! I'm confused cause the Clark sisters mixed blues...R&B.....Jazz and everything else in their music and they had them asymmetrical hair cuts on the heart and soul album and twinkie had them blonde streaks in her hair in the 80's. Don't get me wrong I like the message and whole heartedly agree with it....but I feel she was throwing shade at them and Dr. Clark was in agreement....somebody tell me SOMETHING!
