I don't care how strong you are, when your mother reacts it breaks your soul. I almost got 17 years when I was young, I had no fear for myself I stood tall but watching my mother knees give out and her break. It changed me forever!

I always used that analogy when I was in prison. “I WISH I COULD BE STUCK IN TRAFFIC RIGHT NOW “. Because before that I used to hate traffic with a passion.

@@stryfetc1471 Are you speaking on Louisiana? 🤔 Talk what you know, because there isn't poverty everywhere here, and it's hot everywhere in the south not just Louisiana. There are a lot of opportunities in Louisiana. There are folks that don't know how to find the resources, don't have the knowledge about them, don't want better, don't have the drive and motivation, don't have the talent, or the education. There's also poverty everywhere in America, and outside of America thank you!! Birdbrain 😂

I’m a father, who was incarcerated many years ago, for some years. A coworker of mine from many years back reached out to me 2 days ago. He had a question and was hoping I can help. His question, “My son just received 17 years in prison,” He was seeking advice on what he should do to prepare to do the 17 years as a parent, with his son and “if I had any advice for his son.” I was honored he reached out to me and felt “I must have been doing something right that he saw something in me and was asking advice.” I told him to tell his son the 3 things I saw in prison, that caused many problems in prison:
    1)Don’t gamble.
2)Don’t use drugs and start a debit line.
    3)Stay away from homosexuals.
I don’t mean to offend LGBT, etc. This last rule causes problems in prison and it’s “MY” observation.👌🏽🤘🏽
