  • A little run-through of this boiler and unvented cylinder replacement.
    This one ran really smoothly from start to completion in about 3.5 days.

    Omg I am a heating engineer . This was a refreshing change A plumber who takes pride in his work and does a superb job . And one who can use copper and solder a Fu?ing fitting

    Would love it if you done a detailed tutorial video on pipe bending. Don't think I've seen better pipe work anywhere. Seriously impressed with your work!

    Really nice job. The D2 pipework is incorrect, prv from combination valve should go in before tundish.

    Top job lads, I've been a heating engineer/plumber for 33 years, I was lucky enough to be taught by proper tradesmen, my Dad was very fussy about his pipework and workmanship which was drilled into my training, excellent work, would be pleased with that job.
    I noticed you didn't use the expansion connection on the cold set?

      Thanks buddy, most of the comments pickup on the discharge. Though part of the basic schematic, the prv isn't actually part of g3 regs, I didn't add a tundish intentionally as it doesn't need one, it discharges in plain sight. I haven't bothered explaining this to everyone as I can't be arsed to argue 😂 I've dealt with people like this on social media for years. I mainly ignore them now, I spend my time more wisely helping people who actually want to learn rather than like you say, prey to find something wrong with an install... have a brilliant Christmas mate, and thank you for the support

    Disgusting how good an install that is. Any future soldering tutorials? What blowtorch head and gas do u use? Doesn’t look like a sure fire one

    Have you tried Condensate Pro for your external condensate pipework? Very neat, very quick to use and UV resistant I’m going to use it on all mine where required now.👍👍.

    Do you glue your lagging together? I dont know how you manage to get it to stay so tight to the pipe look around your bends?

      No need , turn cold off and run a tap. Im not a fan of valves on outlets on Unvented cylinders

    Very neat! What the name of the industrial looking metal pipe clips and the trunking they attach to also i saw on another video a fixing type strap that goes between the floor joists to attach pipe clips to?

      Its just 21mm light gauge channel etc. I go through all the pieces you need in the "hampshire project" Video. Hope that helps mate 👍

    Really neat job lads, attention yo detail second to none. Pretty sure the D1and D2 pipe should tee in within 600mm of each other.

      D1 is above d2 in a straight line, separated only by the tundish, as long as he has no more than 500mm D1 and at least 300mm before Bend on D2 then it’s all good, he had both correct 👍
