24YOA The paper ships aren't really powerful. The people are complaining about the Russians is that they believe war gaming bias the Russians and still makes them overpowered. Gotta agree with them
The Frederick der Große was actually already starting it's construction. The keel was laid out and one of the turrets was already finished when Hitler decided to give up on battleships after the destruction of the Bismark. The keel was scrapped but the turret was later used to shell Britain. (The name Frederick der Große is made up and the ship wasn't yet named.)
You know Yamato doesn't fare any better, right? Give Moskva 1-2km shorter range to a Yammy and it will citadel it. Repeatedly. Yamato has a flaw in her frontal armor that makes it easy to citadel towards the sides, Montana doesn't.
Yamato is easy to penetrate behind the turrets, Montana isnt that easy, Montana is Faster than Yamato, and the 406mm provides less overpens than those 460mm, and the damage Made is just 1000-1500 points, isnt a huge difference, As Montana is maneuverable, she can avoid torps easilier than Yamato, and finally, Montana isnt a focus for enemy, so Yamato will be under a shell rain, Montana can take them out without injuring damage Any other reason?
At the ranges that you actually fight Yamato/battleshits Moskva is extremely vulnerable. That huge wooden aft deck takes 10k damage hits constantly. Just aim at the superstructure/conning tower of a bow on and you'll still do high damage.
i have a plan i wil go back in time with a time machine back to 1940's russia and draw a Sovjet paper Battlehip with 4 quad 506 MM main battery armament and underwater 2x double torpedo launches that go 74 knots and a Radar just incase it wasnt bad shit crazy enought. so if i come back to this timeline do i also get to see my Fantasy Battlehip in the game as tier 10?? thanks
She may be dangerous for cruisers, but that high citadel location is a source of trouble if your in a duel with a battleship. And that huge size makes it an easy target for all enemies. Only the Yamato, Montana, and tier 10 destroyers can take her down, but how would you take it down as the Des Moines, Zao, or Hindenburg?
Why does nobody remember to include the velocity of the shells (which is the highest in game at the moment) when those shells leave the barrel, they fucking fly
a battlecruiser? I thought the British were the only major users of those. It's surprising that we get German and Soviet ships but not British ones. Though is it actually a battlecruiser? after all battlecruisers have the same guns as battleships.
@@Karasu_042 Unfortunately, it was the Moskva(Slava). The previous two Moskva were scrapped. One being a heli carrier, the other an 18th century ship with sails sold to France. I hate seeing these past relics disappear. They should be dry docked and treated well.
marinus18 I think they were talking about the ships that currently are in the game. Also, the cruisers with 14 inch guns like the HMS Hood are battlecruisers, which are (for UK) battleships with less armour and more speed. For the German, these are something like the Deutschland class, or the Scharnhorst class : a cruiser with armour and firepower increased a bit (especially armament goes from 155/203 mm to 280 mm), at the cost of some speed.
So typisch für diese Entwickler! Fängt genauso an wie in WoT. Russen absolut stark dargestellt. Abolsut übermäßig starke Bewaffnung inkl. noch der Reichweite, damit andere schön platt gemacht werden. Und dieses Radar...SPITZE...noch unfairer geht es absolut nicht!
Uhmm, Wargaming ? Maybe Moskva's main armament guns are fast firing, but not suited for battleships. The tier 10 american arty in WoT, has a gun with the caliber of 240 mm, while Moskva has 220 mm main armament guns. A tank has a caliber 20 mm more than a heavy cruiser. GG
Medium cruiser? I thought it was considered a heavy cruiser. (I am pretty sure there is no such thing as a "medium cruiser"). I wish they gave her 12 inchers. It is larger than the Kronshtadt battlecruiser so it should be able to fit those but would make her op.
Well this is what the russian 'sekrit' documents classify her as, a medium-cruiser. Although in-game is more than that, technically is a heavy cruiser but could very well be a battlecruiser (it weighs a lot more than any other heavy cruiser, has good enough armour and guns are pretty lethal to all kinds of ships). I wish there were more battlecruisers in the game. Also, what could you tell me about the Kronstadt battlecruiser?
from what I know it is the predecesor of the stalingrad battlecruiser with the big 15 inch guns (same as the bismark) bought from germany before they were at war. The soviets had these extra guns so they desided to build the kronstadt around these guns. I wish they add this ship to the soviet battleship line as it is well armed but terribly armoured though.
Ah ah ah.. Minotaur now has the smallest turning circle in tier 10. Minotaur is better at dodging, fighting planes, and sinking BBs in close quarters fights..
once of CA in tier 10 I really hate Moskva when I play Zao RoF higher than Zao (absolutely Zao is the lowest RoF CA in tier 10) AP pen and damage more than Zao Armor well more than Zao shell speed faster than Zao I don't know HE which one better
Moskva's fire chance is 17 and the HE damage is lower. Fire calculations are also more in favor of a huge number of hits in close succession than a rain of shells, making Zao the better fire starter even without the innately higher fire chance.
Why do no zao players use invisible fire? Back in the early days Zao was untouchable. They would rain HE from out of visible range. When spotted or fired upon it easily ruddered out of the way. Nerfed?
Someone don't know how to invisible fire Always I keep out of detect and kill bbs Before 0.5(I can't remember which patch nerf detect when Salvo) Zao must shot longer than 14.5km and now 15.8km
Invisible Gamer Zao's innate max range is 16.2km, it's not that hard to kite a battleship that can't match your range. The problem with stealth-fire is that it's always situational. Zaos can do it, but if there's a competent DD captain then you're gone because everyone will shoot back. It's best to forget about invisi-firing and just stick to firing a few times before vanishing and repositioning, or using islands to sneak up and put those broken-ass F3s into enemy ships; there's other ways you can use stealth.
"Most powerfull guns"? Yeah, they are more accurate and faster, but Hindenburg has more firepower than Moskva. More guns, more damage(which is weird because guns are quite smaller) and torpedoes. I think even AA is better.
We all want the real WW2 navys: Great Britain, Italy and France... none of these 3 main navys are ingame... it's a shame! Hey, it's better a paper Soviet ship than all the real ones! (russian game, russian made ships)
Italy doesn't have enough ships to fill the catagories. It never had any aircraft carriers and only a few classes of battleships. France never had a large navy so filling the inventory would be very difficult. The British would seem like the obvious new faction to introduce though.
+marinus18 Italy have more ships than germany (germany hasn't carriers too bit it'not a problem). learn something about Italy first to open the mouth without knowing. Italy and great britain are really similar in ships power and numbers

40mm minimum of bow, frontal superstructure, and deck armor. Read up your overmatch mechanics: NOTHING will be penetrating a bow-on Moskva at anything besides close range.
GintaPPE1000 And at long range nothing hits the bow because it smashes through the deck armor. At mid range shells hit the guns or superstructure. At close range the angles are near impossible to utilize. Bow armor isn't relevant on a cruiser, especially when it doesn't have torpedoes and cannot reliably ricochet like the Bismarck/Tirpitz/H39/H41.
I have been facing Moskvas with some regularity in the Donskoi (only about 10 games from Moskva currently). I have to say I am not impressed with the Moskva and do not recall being defeated by one without taking it with me. When I encounter Moskva it always sits bow on, reversing or stationary. Counter it's AP by going bow on as well and proceed to burn it down with HE. Still waiting to encounter a skilled Moskva player, maybe it will be me if I ever get 19.5 million credits.
Darcy Callaghan You mistaken me and clearly don't understand overmatch mechanics. Moskva's bow armor is indeed 25mm which means that it will not overmatch anything of 15" caliber and larger, but starting from aft of the anchor chain, the belt is 40mm which means if you're at a 70+ degree angle nothing, not even Yamato, will pen you. Moskva does require either precise angling or staying at range, contrary to what most players believe - they bow-on it like it's a battleship which will get you owned. Staying at range is usually the more viable tactic; the guns have a 985m/s velocity and can citadel broadside battleships at up to 10km; use your ballistics to your advantage. Moskva also has longer-ranged radar than the USN which means you don't have to get in close to use it.
I understand overmatch mechanics. But with the armor viewer now implemented it's very clear how faulty the armor is for something so sheerly massive. The bow is universally only 25mm thick apparently. Which means literally everything above 15" will overmatch it. HE ammo almost always does flat damage as well, not even fires, with almost every salvo knocking huge chucks of health off. For a ship they try to "sell" with "survivability", it has a substantial lack thereof. The only good thing the Moskva seems capable of doing without ceasing to exist is ambushing broadside enemies via corners, 1v1 scenarios because of the AP citadel power, or in general not being shot at by anyone who can aim. And I've citadel'd battleships up to 12km, most notably Montana engine rooms and Yamato magazines.

Dark Prelate Mohandar yes comrade
No my friend a more suitable song would be Discow Moscow by Mad Cow and the Royal Orchestra of Bazookistan. Great for Moskva doing torpedo beats
in the beginning of the video, the narrator called the ship Moscow 0:04, and at 0:48, he said Moskva
So they confirmed in 2:44 that Moskva is a battleship. Damn, they should increase Moskva kill into -45 points please.

they are updating the armour models before introducing it
oh sweet, cheers

they dont know a shit
Why are you relying on stealth when the fucking thing is impervious to any and all AP hits from the front until 12km? 40mm minimum of bow, superstructure, and deck armor, not even Yamato will penetrate that.
