This is great! Nice additions to the rather plain reduction score. As you said, the original piece is amazing, but your version is probably one of the closest good adaptations one can do on the piano. Excellent performance too.
OH...oh my goodness. HAHAHA :) A little starstruck here, I didn't know you'd comment xD Thank you. Your transcriptions are lovely. Thank you for providing them. If I ever have time I'd like to eventually do a couple more of them.
FlowerEmblem I am just another music lover who looks out for good music. Although I rarely comment, I do so when I see something good. I am really happy to see my transcriptions put to good use. Looking forward to your future performance.
You'd have to thank Sperion no Sora for that, he did a very good job making the sheet music and he added the violin bridge (and you're fine, I understand you :) )
You did 10 covers of shiki!! Cool! i like your version. I only know how to play 2 shiki covers so far. Shiki has a great story line and good OST. It would be nice to find another good anime like it. or have a second season!!!
+OST=2²xLIFE They're not exactly the same but if you want more thought-provoking stories topped with some decent music and you haven't watched these yet I'd totally suggest Kaiba and Tatami Galaxy, they're wonderful :') (also your channel looked interesting, noticed you share a similar love of OSTs so looking forward to future posts!)
+FlowerEmblem I watched Tatami Galaxy EP 1 and the artwork is unique for sure, i liked the first episode so ill give it a try. :) The only problem is that they talk so fast i couldn't keep up with the subtitles. But I'll manage. Plus Akashi got my attention XD It kind of reminds me of xxxholic in a way. Have you seen that anime? As for kaiba humans/ robots with a chip as a memory~ I guess lol I only saw the first 10 minutes, but what got me intrigued was the boy in the beginning with a hole in his chest. So ill continue it. :D Yeah i like a bit of all kinds of music, but i stayed with OST for the past 4 years. Ohh what kind of OST do you like? Like whats your recent favorite? cause i can't have favorites cause then a new one comes out and well it's my new favorite XD
Oh man....I'm so sorry, this reply is so late. Did you finish them? They both ended up being in my top faves, the same director did both of them and they're certainly unique, Kaiba made me tear up in Episode 3, it's like an adult version of the french novel The Little Prince. And yes he talks as fast as a rapper it's amazing :'D I haven't watched xxxHOLIC but I did read the manga! The Tsubasa manga is great too, if you haven't read it. This is going to sound weird, but last year I was introduced to some of Nitro+CHiRAL's OSTs and I was actually stunned by how good they were considering the genre, ZIZZ Studio and Goatbed did a great job composing 'em (Nitro+CHiRAL is the BL/yaoi visual novel branch of Nitro+, the guys who made Stein's Gate, etc). Lamento: Beyond the Void for latin/fantasy, sweet pool for gritty rawness/symbolism with water, DMMD for retro/electronic, etc. For OSTs generally speaking I like any so long as they're not too j-pop-sounding. I'm open to any suggestions, if you have any!
I'm sorry for the question, but I'm relatively new to the piano and can't figure it out or myself yet. But do you hold the pedal down for each of the repeating scales when you play? The sheet doesn't call for it but I can't get the same sound as you unless I pedal. Please let me know :) Also Great job!
Oh that's fine, that's a great question! Yes, I use pedal. A lot of sheets you'll find will not have pedal marked (too much extra hassle and not everyone changes pedal at the same parts anyways) but for many of them pedal is still used, it's really up to you on how you want to play it. I'm sure I changed it with every repeating scale that had the octaves, but for the ones without the left-hand octaves I can't remember if it was for every repeating scale or just every other one.
This is a very late comment, but I completely agree. Have you ever seen the anime "Your Lie In April"? I'm currently working on Nocturne in E-flat Major by Chopin. Do you have any advice for a fellow pianist? ^^
You don't follow sheets, you put your own twist, I really like that.
Your transcription is perfect, with just the piano I get the same feeling I got with the original song. Incredible job

No worries (and thank you) :) I hope you keep going with piano, it can be frustrating but it's even more rewarding long-term.
